Chapter 8

Mew got a call that he needed to visit IUNAE LUMEN University, his presence was needed there to calm down the staff and student leaders because of what happened to one of the professors of the said school.

Sighing sharply he massages his temple, the incident causes headache to him. There's no trace of who did it, the only hint they have is the vampire scent in the sunflower. The death of the professor leaves a stain on the image of the University.

"Bright! Call Luke, Zee, and Nine tell them that we will go to Lumen! " Mew mind link his friend.

They arrived at University in their cars. Mew as a wolf king got two cars of bodyguards to protect him together with his four friends. They enter the University with quiet surroundings, everyone knows he is a wolf king so every wolf bows to him and the vampire gives him respect.

They are walking through the corridor when Zee spotted a group of students unaware of their presence. Some students who notice them immediately bow down but the group who seems arguing ignores the sudden silence of their surroundings.

Then suddenly they heard a crack of bones and a scream of pain.

"The next time you threatened my friends and called them foul names, I will cut your tongue! " The boy that seems to be one of the students with an Alpha vibe holding the arms of another alpha.

His deadly stare makes everyone step back.

"Wow, I don't feel any nervous feeling on him, he is calm as the wind! " Luke said.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK OF A SCHOOL GROUND? A FIGHTING ARENA!? " Mew's voice echoed all around the area,

Everyone snap their heads towards the owner of the voice and trembled in fear when they realized it was the wolf king, and immediately bow their heads for submissions.

But the boy who twist the arm of another alpha didn't budge. He remains standing his back facing Mew. His body became stiff and his heartbeat went crazy. Mew can feel it he can even hear how his heart beating like a drum.

Slowly the boy turn around to face him, but a confused face was written all over his face when he saw that everyone is bowing. The boy looks at him and stares at him with warm eyes as if the boy has been longing for someone.

Mew felt his heartbeat gone wild, the eyes of this boy in front of him reminded him of the silver wolf in Atlas mountain. The way he stares at Mew screams the word mate. But there is no sweet scent on him so Mew got confused.

He notice one of the wolves whispering a word to him and the other pulled the hem of his shirt but got forced to bow down by another vampire.

"Aww, what the heck Win? " Mew heard a chuckle from his friends, but the vampire who force him to bow down look at him in horror.

"Hey! What's your name? " Bright asked him.

The boy didn't flinch at the Alpha's voice, he just looks at them again with the same intensity,  on that moment they knew that the boy has no idea that the alpha in front of him is a wolf king.

"I'm so sorry your highness, our friend here came from a far far away mountain where the internet and technology haven't reach yet, he didn't know you. Your Highness !" An omega wolf exclaimed, fear in his voice is obvious.

He saw how the boy's eyes went wide, he snaps his head to look at the wolf king again, Mew plastered a small smile on his lips. He enjoys watching the boy blush looking at him. There is something in him that he wanted to envelop the boy into a hug.

"Go back to your classes now! " Mew on his authoritative voice, but when he saw an omega pulled the boy's hand he got a strange feeling. "You! Follow me in my office! "

Gulf friends look at Gulf with pity in their eyes, they thought that Gulf will face punishment for what he did to another alpha. They don't have any idea that Gulf can take down all the alpha wolves in just a blink.

Gulf confused and nervous in a positive way, he can't stop looking at Mew's face. His mate is so close but yet so far. He took a deep breath and lower his head for he don't want his mate to caught him staring at him shamelessly.

He followed them annoyed, his head down without noticing that they reach the office, so he bump into the back of Mew. He look up to apologize but his breath got caught when their faces almost touch each other, lips parted, the way they look at each other seems they have a bond between them.

Gulf saw blazing blue eyes flash in a second, Mew is debating with Apollo. A fake cough brought them back to reality, Mew quickly turn his back and open the door. He gets inside followed by Gulf but when he suddenly stop Gulf bump into him again.

"Why are you stopping midways? Don't you know there is someone following you? " Mew looks at him in shock, no one dares to talk to him like that.

Even Mew's friends get appalled by what Gulf said. They look at Gulf with a smile on their faces, look like their cold king found his match.  Unknown to them Mew started to feel excitement and warmth in his heart, this boy in front of him brings a tingling sensation in his whole being.

Gulf realizes what he did, bows down a little, and apologizes to him. Mew motioned his friends to wait outside to make his friend groan, they will miss how Gulf face the wrath of Mew. Gulf captured their heart without them knowing it.

A moment of silence followed after Mew's friends left, Gulf's eyes looking somewhere avoiding to meet the intense stare from Mew. He knew the moment he look at those eyes again, he will not able to hold his feelings.

But Mew as an Alpha, a wolf king. Stare at Gulf although he felt the uncomfortable feelings from the younger.

"Look at me! " Mew order him.

As much as he wants his eyes to focus on the floor, his body urges him to look at the Alpha. Slowly he lifts his head to meet the eyes of his mate.

"I-i have a class to attend to, your highness?! " Gulf succeeded to form words to say.

"Is that a question? " Mew can't take his eyes off from Gulf, those Bambi's eyes remind him of the silver wolf, his mate.

"I don't know Mew, but I want him. But we need to be loyal to our mates. " Apollo has debated him ever since they lay their eyes on Gulf.

Gulf took a deep breath.

"I am Gulf Arvin Sandoval your highness, a third-year engineering student! " Gulf introduced himself for he wants to leave already.

The fact that Mew is near him, Blizzard is doing his best to hide their vampire smell. They are having a hard time compelling their scents in front of their mate. The pull between them is stronger than he thought.

Gulf look at Mew who is still staring at him, so Gulf decided to stare at the alpha in the same intensity. He can't back down now or else his smell as a vampire will linger in this room.

But Gulf's heartbeat grows crazier when Mew steps towards him. The stare was never cut while Mew taking one step forward until he reach Gulf. Their shoes almost touch each other, Gulf can't do anything but gulp hard.

"You're eyes remind me of someone. Someone beautiful, his fur is white as snow. " Mew said, his breath fanning Gulf's face when he speak.

Blizzard whimpers in happiness, make Gulf blush in front of his alpha.

A sudden knock cut their moment, Luke enter and whisper something on Mew. Gulf tried to control his breathing, bow down to Mew and take his leave without waiting for the Wolf king's permission. Luke tried to call him but Mew stop him.

Mew watching him walking away, but promised himself that this is not the last time he will see Gulf.

"You can't deny the strong bond between us Gulf! "

The bell rang indicating that the class ended, Mild grab Gulf's hand, pulling him to the cafeteria. Mild looks left and right and notices his friends on a table, still holding Gulf's hand he walks towards his friends.

"You stinky omega, do you think it's proper to hold an alpha's hand especially that you are not mated on him! " a blond woman intercepts their way. Mild quickly loosens his hold on Gulf's hand.

Gulf saw Win, Saint, and Fluke stand on their seat and walk towards them, but Gulf put everyone in shock when he holds Mild arms and guide him to where their friends are. The blond girl look at him in dismay and a smug on her face.

Gulf ignores everyone's stare and starts eating the food that Saint ordered for him. His friends secretly smile at each other, at last, they have found an alpha who is willing to protect them and stand for them.

Mew watching the scene in the cafeteria unfolded on the computer screen, he felt a pang in his chest when Gulf hold the omega's arm, but got proud for he choose to protect the omega instead of leaving him. He didn't notice that he is wearing a smile on his face.

His friends who look at him surprised wanted to capture the moment. Mew didn't say that the boy is his mate but they felt a strong bond between the two alpha. The way they stare at each other is like two people falling in love at first sight.

The sassy attitude of the Gulf is the reason why they like the younger. He even shut the alpha's mouth off his straight-to-the-point character.

"I like Gulf! " everyone looks at Bright in shock.

They heard Mew's neck snap towards him when he said the word. They even heard Mew growl at him make him realized what he said.

"I mean not romantically, I like him that he is straightforward and brave, can't you see it? He didn't show any fear to anyone of us, but a little nervous when it comes to Mew! " Bright held his hand up, trying to explain his side.

"I like him too! " this time Zee speak.

"I'm hungry, I think I want to taste the food in the cafeteria! " Luke said. Everyone leaves the office, leaving Mew behind.

Mew is struggling on whether he goes there or not, he won't want to bother the lunch of the student by his presence, but glancing on the screen where the camera of the cafeteria was connected, his heart wanted to meet Gulf again.

He goes out striding his way to the cafeteria, he knows where his friends are. Everyone got silent and bow their heads, but when he looks in Gulf's direction the boy still eating ignoring his surroundings.

"Continue what you're doing everyone, pretend that I am not here! "He saw in the corner of his eyes that Gulf lift his head and look in his direction.

"Now let's see how long you gonna hide your sweet smell from me! "

"Find out who is behind the death of Jeff!, the sunflower is a message, look into small details. I'm sure there will be next!! " Draco sitting in a high chair placed in the center of the platform made for the vampire leader.

Everyone chorus in agreement.

"Check all the details of every vampire member, I have a bad feeling looking at that sunflower! " Elexis the right hand.

Little did they know, the game has begun a long time ago!
