We've just heard from Edea a really bad piece of news,something that made my head ache.
A calamity will fall in these lands in a few years.
I considered and thought about evacuating and asking for shelter to the fairies and angels, but most of my people would rather die in their homes than bowing their heads and lose their pride.
*sigh*
How troublesome...
Fortunately Edea used her powers until she fainted and exhausted herself,and gave us a ray of hope.
A seed of a World tree will appear within a dungeon that will appear in a few weeks as a reward.The only problem is that only those under level 40 and atleast level 5 can enter, and all of my adjutants and officers are level 80 or higher.
I was troubled,who can I send to be in command?
That's when Aalrie suggested our daughter to go which is something I did not object rather it was something I did not thought of and was also for it.
Theresa was always been here,training her swordmanship and nothing else.Other than that she mostly spends her time in the library,we were worried that she might live forever alone with no desire to go atleast out and make some friends.We were scared that she might live a life duller that ours.
And this oppurtunity showed up, while she might just see a bit of the outside it might ignite her curiosity towards the outside.
This is something she cannot refuse,she have to go.Otherwise our entire race might perish.

Today is the day,we sent her off with a group of soldiers that are under level 40 and equiped with armours and enchanted weapons.This should be enough.I did not worry too much about unexpected elements since they will be dealt with.
Edea foreseed a few adventurers stubling in the dungeon but none of them were enough to pass even a floor of the dungeon.
But she couldn't 'see' what will happen inside the dungeon,it is a mystery but her powers cannot see the future about the insides of a dungeon if she is outside of a dungeon,that is rather unsettling but she 'saw' Theresa successfully obtaining the seed so the only thing to do is to wait.

This...this is surprising.
Theresa made a friend on her own!
Not an ordinary one at that but also one that managed to conquer a dungeon at level 5!Not even I could conquer one.
Leaving out the fact she used our soldiers for her own reasons,that did not change that she gave us the seed without giving us too much trouble.I obviously hinted that if she ever do that again,I might not be lenient as today.
It is just me but aren't I favouring her just because she is the first friend Theresa made?

Mhh,it is time to make the tree grow.
We elves being close to nature we discovered a bit of knowledge related to nature itself within those information about the World tree.
A World tree like a normal tree grows by a source of light and water but it also be given the lifeforce of a living being and it growth rate will be also accelarated.
And that is what we will do.
Criminals will be given as a nourishment,those kind that are irredeemable of course.
It will be also a sort of repentance for their unforgivable sins.
Ah,there are also those pests who are propagating those kind of ideas.
Hopefully they will come out from their holes...

Months passed and the problems have been quite few as we eliminated them.It was a slow process but we managed to kill the most of them.
With Deva and her sisters the days have been less boring and dull than usual even Aalrie and Courtney who would only smile to me,Theresa and Edea have been cheerful these months.
Specially Theresa and Edea have changed,they've grown rather attached to that group particularly to Deva.They would now go out frequently with her to see around the capital and have fun.She ignited something inside them.But I was not sure whether towards the outside or something else...
Something was not right...
Although they improved in good and smile more, I couldn't shake the bad premonition and chills when the two were watching or just be together with Deva.
It was a familiar sight,but couldn't recall it.
It was not only Theresa and Edea but also Deva's sisters,Velena and Ira.They give the same feeling when watching them.
But Deva also changed me a bit. She was one of the few people that Aalrie and Courtney weren't too worried to well...be threat?
But well,with her I could vent all my problems and shared a few of my opinions,we would talk about everything.

A letter arrived.And soon a meeting between the Kindred will happen.

As a father and as a friend,I wish for the two of them to not be binded by the same chains of mine.

After the celebration and all passed, they dragged me in our bedroom.
Those looks on their eyes...
The same looks of a starving animal...this will be a long day isn't it?

But when she said,"We are here to give our dear a goodbye kiss."
I immediately called for Deva's help but she was already got outside the room.
