The Betrayal

"Mr White lost?" Aiden blinked confusedly.

"Yep, he did lose. He lost fair and square!" Mr Bai said.

"You remember how I told you that Andras left the school after Mr White was selected as the principal of the school?" Mr Bai asked to which the duo nodded. He just told them that a few minutes ago anyway.

"Well, that isn't the true story. Turns out that there is a rule in the school laws that allows any one to challenge the newly chosen principal of the school if they thought they weren't worthy enough!" Mr Bai explained.

"By now you should have guessed what happened!"

"Andras challenged Mr White?" Aiden asked.

"Yep. During that duel everything seemed normal and they duo were all on the same standard. Whether it was close combat or long range combat. However, everything changed when Andras suggested that they use their final attacks to end the fight quickly!" Mr Bai said.

"In the final showcase of their techniques, Mr White lost. it turns out that Andras' final attack was a tier 3 peak mortal spell which was far above Mr White's tier 2 peak mortal spell. The difference was an entire tier!"

"A tier 3 peak spell?" Aiden's eyes widened in shock. Just like any other thing, spells also had their own grading levels. They were mortal, ascendant and finally saint realms. All these realms had three tiers and these tiers were also divided into 3 levels — low , mid and peak.

In the entire Phoenix city, the highest tier of spell that been found was a tier 2 peak mortal realm spell. This spell was only given to the mayor of the city and it is known as the strongest attack in the entire city.

If Andras had a spell which was of even a higher quality, then there was no way Mr White could have won the fight.

"I don't underatand one thing though, " Aiden said, " If Andras won, then why was Mr White made the principal then?"

"Actually, it is because of the old principal. Mr White was actually willing to give his position over to Andras however, the principal at that time decided to use the Golden hand to change the ownership of the position back to Mr White.

"He used the Golden hand for such a thing?" Aiden asked in shock. The Golden hand was a special kind of power given to the principal that allowed then to bend the rules of the school once in their entire lives as a principal. Most principals used it as a measure to ensure their safety if they ever did something against the school and had to be executed for it.

To use it for somethig as trivial as this, was definitely , without doubt a bad idea.

"The principal knew the importance of this but he still favoured Mr White so be decided to do it. Many people didn't agree with his decisions. Even Mr White didn't agree with it. However, it was forced on him so he had no other choice. It was the main reason why left."

"He simply couldn't understand why the principal would still decide to side with Mr White even though he lost the fight!" Mr Bai explained.

"Hmm, It must be the reason why Mr White has such a frown on his face. He knows that Andras is up to no good by suggesting something like this," Ace said and Aiden nodded in agreement.

"Hope he doesn't accept it. After all, the future of the entire school is in hands right now!" Aiden said as he turned his head back into the sky. However, the next thing he heard nearly made him cough blood in anger.

"Okay. Let's do it!" Mr White said.

********

"Why the hell would he accept that? "Aiden commented. He couldn't understand why Mr White would make such a foolish decision. Ever since the start of the fight, he had always held the advantage. Be it close or long ranges combat, he always came on top.

Just by rejecting Andras' suggestion, he could simply win easily. However, by accepting Andras' request wasn't he digging up his own grave?

"Good. I thought you were going to back out because of fear of what happened the last time," Andras mocked when he heard Mr White's reply.

Mr White didn't seem to car as he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.

"I have to get back at you after the defeat after all!"

"Hmph!"

Seeing that his trick didn't work on Mr White, Andras snorted before starting to gather a huge amount of fire mana to himself.

Mr White also started to conjure up his spell as huge amount of water mana began to move towards him.

The conjuring of these great techniques made the atmosphere weird. On one side was cool and comforting mana on the other was a ferocious and violent mana. To make matters even worse they seemed to be ready to crash at any moment.

Soon enough, Mr White and Andras finished casting their spells. A huge ball of fire had appeared above Andras. The ball produced so much heat that the huge shield that all the other principals created to protect the students seemed like it would break at any moment.

As for Mr White, his spell took the form of a whale, a very calming see creature. However, if one was to look into the eyes of this whale, all they could see would be savageness and violence!

"Heh, you finally used your fire magic?" Mr White sneered.

"Hmph! Stop trying to delay time," Andras said and giving no time for Mr White to react, be threw the fireball at him.

Mr White merely smiled before controlling the whale to confront the Fire ball.

Soon enough, a huge explosion sounded and both parties were absorbed into the centre of the explosion.

"Hodge, Save me!!!"

Just then, the voice of Andras sounded yet again. This time, it wasn't targeted at Mr White but someone else. And as for who than person was, it was none other than Mr Hodge, Vex's father.
