Snape In A Bad Mood

Night had descended, and the stars sparkled high in the sky. Luke, guided by the moonlight, effortlessly made his way to Snape's office. He had taken a few nighttime excursions before, and his experience helped him navigate without being caught by Filch.

Now, he stood before the office door, contemplating his next move. Instead of directly using magic to open the locked door, he discerned the magical currents behind it with his supernatural abilities.

"Divine power."

With the Shaker's Illusion activated, Luke moved through the door and entered the room. As he had expected, the entire room was riddled with traps set with spells. Professor Snape was indeed cautious, and had it not been for Luke's ability to blur, he might have been caught that night.

He wondered how Hermione had managed to sneak in before. He recalled her stealing ingredients from this room to concoct the potion.

Examining the room, Luke had a comprehensive view of its contents and structures. He particularly noticed a secret door hidden under the carpet, leading to a basement below. Sorry, Professor Snape, he thought, but he would repay him in his own way.

Luke's three-eyed gaze shifted, and he dived through the floor, emerging in the basement. The room was illuminated by a roaring bonfire on the wall, casting light where there was none.

Several rows of tables held rare and expensive materials, some of which were nearly priceless. His eyes gleamed with anticipation; this was a treasure trove compared to the Forbidden Forest. He selected materials for refining the compound potion, along with some other items to mislead any prying eyes.

He didn't snatch randomly; the stolen materials would allow him to brew seven or eight different potions, further obscuring Snape's suspicion.

Then, Luke spotted a bottle labeled "Lacewings Boiled for 21 Days." He couldn't believe it; this was the main ingredient for making the compound potion. He had thought he would have to spend 21 days on this step, and this find was a delightful surprise.

With his ill-gotten materials safely stored in his dimensional space, Luke left the basement content. The next morning, he was all set to start working on the compound potion thanks to the materials he had acquired.

....

Following lunch, it was time for their afternoon potions class, taught by none other than the enigmatic Professor Snape. As Luke settled into his seat in the classroom, a loud bang reverberated through the room, and the door swung open dramatically.

Snape, his countenance as emotionless as ever, hastened to the podium. Luke, who had become quite familiar with Snape's behavior, was quick to deduce that Snape had undoubtedly discovered the theft of his potion ingredients.

"Harry's in for a rough time again," Hermione remarked, glancing sympathetically at Snape's uncharacteristically cold demeanor. The entire room was aware of Snape's unfavorable treatment of Harry.

The sight of an angered Snape was enough to silence the entire class, as no one dared to utter a word. Even Harry and Ronald, well-known for their mischief, lowered their heads, refraining from speaking.

The regular old bat was already intimidating, but an infuriated old bat was an entirely different matter.

"Harry Potter!" Snape called out the familiar name, his voice dripping with icy authority.

Hermione lowered her head, her body trembling. It was clear that Gryffindor's house points were about to take another hit. At this rate, their house points might plummet into negative numbers, thanks to Hermione's diligent work in other courses. It was a daunting challenge.

"Yes, Professor," Harry responded promptly, standing up with utmost caution. He had no desire to provoke Snape at this moment. Now that he had risen from his seat, all he could hope for was that the upcoming deduction of house points wouldn't exceed ten.

....

The class came to an end, and as Harry and Ronald made their way down the corridor, they appeared utterly dejected. In this particular class, the two of them had truly surpassed themselves. Snape had deducted a staggering thirty points.

"I've had enough," Ronald muttered dispiritedly. Every time he sat beside Harry, it seemed inevitable that Snape would single him out.

"Harry, next time I'm sitting next to Luke," Ronald declared, a hint of desperation in his voice.

Harry gaped at Ronald in disbelief. "Ronald, you can't leave me like this!"

"Maybe we should just skip class," Ronald proposed.

Observing this exchange between the two friends, Luke couldn't help but touch his nose. After all, the source of Snape's current fury was the fact that he had taken those precious potion materials the previous night.
