Chapter 5: Admirer

5.00 pm

Without knowing what's going to happen next, Lily and Sarah went to the park as they promised last night to read more about the mysterious diary. The park was not too far from their room, besides it was a natural feeling place to go hence it might be the best time to read and understand the secret behind the diary. They agreed to sit below a huge tree which was too old but still strong enough to give shade from the sun.

Lily: Thank god nobody is around by now.

Sarah: It might be, but soon your admirer will come here.

Lily: Will you stop that? I have told you so many times that Jovin doesn't have any feelings towards me, he's just considering me a friend of him.

Sarah: Well, I don't believe that.

Lily: Who cares? Anyway, we hardly even take this diary with us without mom's knowledge, we could have almost got caught last night.

Sarah: And that's why we decided to read this same diary in the park, where no one would be around, even a bird.

???: Says who?

Lily and Sarah were startled by the sudden familiar male voice behind them, they turned around quickly and found the person who they talked about earlier.

Lily: Jo....Jovin?

Jovin: Hey Lily, Sarah, what are you both doing here?

Sarah: That's what I'm about to ask you, what are you doing here?

Jovin: Well....I was bored to stay at home for the whole day so I came out to have some fresh air.

Lily: I see, so you didn't come with your father?

Jovin: Nah, he's been dealing with a lot of things in his garden behind our house, so I didn't bother him that much.

While Jovin and Lily were having their own conversations, Sarah can't help but to smile teasingly at them.

Sarah: Hey Jovin, mind if you join us?

Jovin: Sure, why not?

Lily: Wait!!!

Jovin: What?

Lily: Just.....give us a minute.

Lily pulled Sarah to her side in a fast pace.

Lily: Are you out of your mind? Why do you want to invite him?

Sarah: Because we are going to tell him about the diary.

Lily: WHAT?!! Are you kidding me?! I told you not to tell anyone about this.

Sarah: You did, but Jovin is a trusted boy, he won't break any promise no matter what. You do trust him a lot, right?

Lily: I do trust him a lot, but isn't it too early to tell him?

Sarah: We need someone to have our back, so I wanted to include him.

Lily: I don't want to give any pressure to him though.

Sarah: Because you like him?

Lily: SARAH!!

Jovin: Hey, I see you both are discussing something serious, is everything ok?

Lily: Uhmm, nothing nothing... it's actually....

Sarah nudged at Lily and gave her signal to tell the truth to Jovin.

Lily: Well, there is something I need to tell you. Can you join us?

Jovin: Of course, anything for Lily.

Jovin immediately sat next to Lily and looked curiously to hear what's she gonna say.

Sarah: ( mumbles ) Anything for Lily? That sounds weird.

Lily: ( mumbles ) Shut it!!

Jovin: What do you want to tell me?

Lily: Oh, uh.... ( smiles ) it's about this.

Lily took out the diary behind her and showed it to Jovin.

Jovin: What's this?

Lily: It's a diary, we found it under my dad's garden.

Jovin: Your dad's garden? What was it doing there?

Sarah: We have no idea, we don't even know who it belongs to.

Lily: And we decided to bring back home and read, without telling my mom about this.

Jovin: Would you mind if I take a look?

Lily: Of course not, here you go.

Lily took one of Jovin's hands and put the diary on his palm, he was stunned as he didn't expect the sudden contact of her hand towards his hand. He felt an electric shock went through his whole body, his heart started to beat in a high speed rate. He kept staring at Lily with his sparkling eyes as if nothing happened at all. Sarah noticed the reaction from Jovin and tried hard to not laugh out loud as she felt it was hilarious.

Lily: Jovin.....

Lily called out Jovin but he didn't respond and kept staring at her.

Lily: Jovin! Jovin!!!

Jovin: Huh!! What?!

Lily: What's the matter? Why do you look shocked?

Jovin: It's.... it's....

Unlike any other time being such a calm person to anyone, Jovin would probably ended up being nervous only in front of the girl he loved, which was Lily. He started to develop feelings for her after getting to know each other, he was frightened that she would left him if she came to know about his love for her.

Sarah: Jovin, are you nervous or something?

Jovin: What?! Nervous?! Me?! Huh, look who's talking, I have never felt nervous in my entire life, now stop picking me.

Lily: Ok ok, no more arguments. Anyway, Sarah and I read the first page of the diary and it was kind of weird at first.

Jovin: Why do you say that?

Lily: Before I could answer your question, can I ask you something?

Jovin: Of course, what is it?

Lily: Have you ever heard of Levilion City?

Jovin: Levilion City.....why does this sound familiar to me?

Lily: What? So you have heard it somewhere before?

Jovin: I guess....let me recall myself...

Jovin felt familiar when he heard the unknown city's name, whether someone might had told it to him or he came to know by himself.

Sarah: Jovin, are you sure you have heard it before or just pretending it?

Jovin: Hey, I'm in the middle of my brain power generation therapy, don't interrupt me.

Lily: Forget about her, do you actually know the place?

Jovin: I think I did hear it somewhere before.

Lily: Really?! Like, where? Who told you?!

Jovin: My dad once told me about this spectacular city, it was one of the fastest growing economy area, but it was unrecognized in the world.

Sarah: Lily, that's exactly what the person who wrote the first diary was all about.

Lily: I know, but why is it unrecognized in the first place?

Jovin: No one from my family never went into that city, or even knew how it looked like, my father was told from someone he knew. That's all I can tell.

Jovin smiled and fixed his hair, looked around and adjust his fancy glasses while looking at somewhere else.

Lily: I don't think it's a small issue anymore.

Sarah: Of course it's not, even Jovin was aware of that Levilion City, who knew if there was a secret behind this city?

Lily: Wait, let me try to get more details about it.

Lily looked back at Jovin who was waiting for her to get back into conversation.

Lily: All right, I know it's a bit weird to ask, but do you happen to know where the city is located?

Jovin: Unfortunately, no, the city was wiped out too much to the point that there's hardly any information about it, sorry.

Lily: Damn it, now we are lost again.

Jovin: Hey, is everything alright? You both seem to asking me unusual questions.

Sarah: Well, there is something that you should know about, Jovin.

Lily: Does he have to, Sarah?

Sarah: Of course he does, he's our best friend.

Jovin: Don't hesitate to tell anything to me, Lily. After all, we are...

Jovin struggled to point out that he and Lily were best friends when he was in love with her.

Jovin: Friends....come on, tell me.

Sarah MV: Someone's trying hard not to show his true face. ( giggles )

Lily: Ok, whatever we are about to say, it will be bizarre, yet it's all completely true.

Jovin: O...k..., I'm all ears now.

Lily: I found this diary book from my dad's old garden.

Jovin: Ok.

Lily: We brought it to home without my mom's knowledge.

Jovin: And?

Sarah: We just discovered that the person actually wrote about Levilion City, which was that person's hometown.

Jovin: Excuse me?!

Lily: We tried to figure out the owner of the diary but there isn't any single details about that. I guess we just have to rely on this book.

Sarah: Yeah, we really wanted to tell it to mom, but we have no thoughts of making a big deal, so we just have to hide this from her.

Jovin: Oh my Lord, am I hearing this right?! So you actually found a Levis person's belonging.

Lily: Levi what now?

Jovin: Levis, the people who came from Levilion City.

Lily: Oh, they even have their own name? Quite interesting....anyway, please don't let anyone else to leak our secret, I have so much hope on you, I'm begging you.

Jovin: Not to worry, my lady. You are speaking to the most trusted man in front of you, I won't until you say so.

Lily: ( smiles and holds his hand ) Thank you so much, Jovin. I knew I can count on you.

Jovin: ( stunned ) Ehhheee...it's fine...Lily.... you're.... welcome...

Sarah: Why are you blabbering so much, Jovin?

Jovin: Shut up.

Lily: Hey, look!! It's those ducks again, I'll go and check it out!!!

Lily stood up from the ground and ran towards the ducks on the side of the river. Jovin smiled widely at her running when Sarah still noticed the behavior of his on her.

Sarah: Seems like someone's been too deep in love.

Jovin: What?

Sarah: Don't try to hide from me, you have feelings for Lily, right?

Jovin: I....I....I mean...
