Chapter 15

We got to the carriage, it's black with silver ornaments, like everything in Jack's mansion and was pulled by 4 majestic looking black horses. Lucia told me that, the nobles and other high ranking people expected to be equal to all others, but they still wanted something that would show the people, that they have done or are doing something that is very important or beneficial to the kingdom. They didn't want any rights that the townspeople would not have, they simply didn't want that they looked all the same. So the king granted that only the people who had done something important or beneficial to the kingdom, were allowed to use the colours 'black, white, silver and gold'. With the colour silver only allowed to the 15 highest ranked and their family, the only exception would be the royal academy.

The colours of the royal academy were with and silver. So of course not anyone could enter only those with a talent that could prove to be very important to the kingdom, or with an element control of a genius one could enter the royal academy.

After about 15 minutes we reached the academy. The students who seemed to have a break right now, looked curious at Jack, who was wearing a black mask with silver ornaments, Lucia, in her maid uniform and me who nearly looked like a angel, with my pale skin, blue eyes and the rest completely with with some silver ornaments.

I was truly surprised and happy when Lucia told me about the rules regarding the colours, because that meant that Jack treated me like family. And after so long without a family, seeing that someone would say that I would now belong to their family, it made me so happy that I started to cry. Lucia who was shocked seeing me cry over that quickly went to get Jack and apologized to me and him for making me cry. Jack seemed displeased when he heard that Lucia made me cry, so I quickly explained that I just realized, after Lucia told me about the colours, that he was saying to everyone that I was his family, when he gave me these clothes, and I was just to happy to finally have a family again. Jack was surprised, hugged me tightly and said that from now on I would be never alone again. Of course I started to cry again hearing him say that, so he stayed and hugged me till I calmed down again.

But back to the present, we are currently walking to the office of headmaster Raven, to get me registered for the next school year.
