Trouble?

The Laplaus's and Layettes weren't completely stuck on the old ways, as they used some magically enhanced muggle appliances and sent the "twins" to a muggle school. Now that they had awakened their magic, their parents were debating what to do with them.

Usually Kate or Ellie would pick them up from school and take care of them until their husbands got back from work. Arthur was an Auror and Eli was a successful shopkeeper in Diagon Alley. Now, there was a heated debate going on at the dinner table. The kids had long been excused and were happily playing upstairs.

"We have to withdraw them from muggle school, we can't risk an incident happening out there where we can't fix it!"

"I agree with Arthur, the kids may be put in dangerous situations because they have no control over their magic yet." Eli stated.

"Yes, yes, it would be safer to school them from home," Ellie also agreed, "but they'll be devastated when we tell them they can't see their friends as often."

"I think as long as we keep them together, they won't have any problems. Though they probably will be quite sad." Kate added.

"So that settles it, I guess, we're going to school them from home from now on," confirmed Ellie, "I'll get started on the process for Corrin and Eve."

Now you may be wondering why Ellie would be able to unenroll Corrin from school when he is not her child. The explanation for this stems from earlier in the year. As was mentioned previously, Ellie and Kate usually picked up the children, although not together most of the time. This was nothing out of the ordinary to most people, but the headmaster was quite the thinker. He eventually came to the conclusion that Ellie and Kate were a lesbian couple who's children were Corrin and Evelyne.

This notion was further reinforced by them getting checked out together multiple times. Anyways, he snooped around the main office and "corrected" the files on Corrin and Evelyne on his own accord.

When the parents informed the two of their imminent withdrawal, which took a few minutes for them to actually understand, their souls were understandably crushed. Through coaxing and promises to arrange play dates with their friends, the kids finally relented their sob fest.

When the school was informed, and consequently the teachers and students the next day, those who had contact with the duo were also devastated. The enchanting smile and laugh from Corrin, the bubbling energy from Evelyne, oh how they all would miss it. Except for Quinn Falner and his buddies.

On the first day of school, Quinn had declared Corrin his "rival". In what originally? No one knows. But Corrin again and again outclassed him in everything. It wasn't as if Corrin was trying hard to beat Quinn in particular, he didn't really know what a rival was, but it just... happened. Over the course of the school year Quinn's resentment grew bigger and bigger.

When he received news that Corrin would no longer be attending class, he let out a victory cheer. The teacher and his classmates all gave him death glares. Quinn felt truly and utterly spited. He made up his mind that he and his friends would find where Corrin lives and uhh... call him names! Finding where he lives would be easy enough, just grab one of the kids who always has playdates with him and shake them around a bit.

Surprisingly this worked better than it should of as the first kid he grabbed just so happened to be a smart one who liked memorizing things. After threatening the kid with the classic "I have an older brother in secondary school" he waited and began filling in his goons on the plan. When the time came to leave school, he took his friends home and asked if they could go to a different park than usual.

Quinn's mother agreed, but asked one of her other sons to chaperone the boy and his friends, as her precious little one could never be hurt.

"You idiot! Take me here" Quinn demanded to his third eldest brother while showing a note with Corrin's address on it.

Why would an older sibling heed an apparent demand from a younger sibling? One word: Mom. Quinn was the youngest Falner with the worst attitude, yet he was still treated as a golden child by his mother. His father had repeatedly called him demon spawn and his three older brothers could only agree to it. They couldn't do anything about it because their mother practically had their father by the balls, not hesitating whatsoever to cause pain at a moment's notice.

After walking for quite a while, They came to an old looking two story building, reminiscent of a medieval cottage, with a garden area in front surrounded by a metal gate.

"Well this is the place man, is he like your friend or something?" Robert asked. "Hurry up with whatever you want to do because mom's gonna throw a fit if I don't get you home on time."

"Shut up you poohead, I don't wanna hear your stupid voice." Quinn spat.

"Gee sorry your royal majesty, screw off mate." Robert quipped back in a whisper.

Just then the door opened and two forms rushed out, stopping at the front gate to observe these new visitors.

"Oh it's you, uhmm... Quinn, right?" Asked a pleasant voice along with a vibrant smile.

"You bug face! I hate you! You suck! Right, guys?" Quinn stammered out, flashing a cocky grin which looked more like a troll grimacing.

"Yeah, he a big stinky!"

"Ha ha poopoo pants!"

"Yeah you have cooties because you play with girls!"

"Oi guys chill out, yeah? I didn't know you'd be so mean to this kid when I brought you here." Robert tried to calm them down.

"Also we can't forget about that ugly bitxh that always hangs around him!" There was dead silence after Quinn basically yelled that.

One reason being that most of his goons have a crush on Evelyne. Another being most present didn't even know what the word bitxh meant. Even Quinn didn't know, but he heard it in a show once. Yet his intent was clear, he wanted to hurt Evelyne's feelings. Because it was so silent, everyone could hear Evelyne start to cry. Not some random baby crying in the airport that you just want to shut up cry, but a truly gut wrenching, soul shattering cry of sorrow and pain.

Though some might call this an overreaction, she's a sensitive child and she felt the intent of Quinn's insult very clearly.

That's when things began to feel wrong. Real wrong. The kind of wrong you'd feel if you were the protagonist of a horror movie and your house lost power along with all the people living there. Perhaps it would be called

Fear
