Chapter 10: The meeting and The Wonderful Crystal

While Simon was thinking about his future, Alan and the other human envoys had finished their discussions with the elven peoples, understanding the importance of the situation.

They didn't waste any time, especially since a 6th circle magician used portal magic to take them directly to the Diffa Kingdom, and they had the king's permission. Upon arrival in the meeting room, they had to wait for the king and the rest of his counselors to arrive to explain the situation. While waiting for the king and his counselors to arrive, the atmosphere was tense and anticipatory.

The human envoys were aware of the importance of the situation and the urgency of their explanations. Finally, the king and his counselors entered the room, ready to listen attentively to what the envoys had to say. Alan spoke up to explain the situation clearly and succinctly unfolding in the elven kingdom.

After exchanging greetings with the king and the rest of the counselors, Alan declared, "Following our mission to the Agadez Kingdom, we believe we have discovered the reason why Princess Mangou said something was happening there. It's about the awakening of the talent of an elf named Simon. He awakened an SSS+ Rank talent called Wisdom Eye. Although we don't know the nature and abilities that this talent allows him to have."

"We judged it necessary to inform His Majesty the King as quickly as possible."

Although the king frowned, he remained calm due to his duty, unlike the council members who couldn't help but exclaim. Is this a joke? After dreaming for 8 years, when the princess awakened her talents and how they would annihilate the elven population and occupy their resources, they're now being told that the elves also have an SSS+ Rank talent.

A council member, having lost his composure, exclaimed, "Your Majesty, I believe we must not waste any time and eliminate this threat while we still can. We know how formidable SSS+ Rank talents are. Take the princess as an example. Despite being 12 years old, there are not more than 10 people capable of defeating her in a life-or-death battle throughout the kingdom."

The council member's words echoed in the room, leaving a palpable tension. The king, taking a deep breath, spoke in a calm but authoritative voice: "We must exercise caution in our actions. The awakening of such a powerful talent in an elf is certainly a concerning development, but we must not act in haste. We must first investigate this situation further and carefully assess the risks before deciding on our next step. Although the elves had attempted to assassinate the princess many times, we all know they were in a desperate situation. Therefore, we must not stoop to their level. We must wait for the opportune moment to deliver the fatal blow."

They then discussed the various measures to be taken, notably the most important, such as what type of talent Simon awakened, or whether to let it be known that an elf has awakened an SSS+ Rank talent to avoid provoking the peoples against the elves for something trivial.

After the meeting, the king spoke to Mangou about what had happened, but the most surprising thing is that after hearing the report, she responded: "I feel like this isn't all; I feel like they've hidden something, it's much more than that."

The king reinforced his determination even more upon hearing Mangou's response. If her intuition tells her that it's something much more than that, then it must not be something simple. Perhaps it's related to Simon's talent? Has he awakened a talent that allows him to be dangerous without having to develop it?

A week had passed since the visit of the human envoys to Agadez, and rumors of the elves awakening an SSS+ Rank talent had spread throughout the continent and even to neighboring continents.

Today, Simon, who had dedicated his first invention in this world to his mother, finally finished what had cost years and millennia of accumulation for humans, an invention based on the camera. It could be important or not, depending on the person.

Simon was someone who wanted to create virtual reality, so it was normal for him to know how many things are created, especially since it's easy to acquire knowledge thanks to the internet.

Lana was starting to worry about Simon because since awakening his talents, he had shut himself in his room and said he was creating something special for her. Although she was touched, just imagining her little 6-year-old already starting to make inventions instead of spending his time playing like other children made her feel a bit sad. She had noticed a long time ago that Simon was a mature child; he had started reading and learning the history of this world at the age of 4, which had given him the reputation of being the wise child among the elves.

Today, Simon presented himself before her in her room with a large crystal. The crystal was carved in an elegant and refined shape, with sharp angles and soft curves. It was of crystalline purity, almost transparent, allowing light to pass through it with runic and magical symbols that appeared and disappeared, adding an additional dimension of mystery and power to their appearance.

Simon said to her, "I present to you what I call the Photographic Crystal," with a tone of respect towards her. He placed the crystal in front of her and approached her, then continued, "Could you smile in three seconds?"

Her mother, who was curious, said, "Okay."

After three seconds, when Simon was just near her and she was smiling as he had asked, the crystal emitted a light towards them, which left her a little confused.

Simon then said to her, "Close your eyes, and I'll show you a surprise," which made her even more curious, but she decided to close her eyes anyway.

The crystal suddenly seemed to materialize something, which Simon took with both hands. He then created a glass frame around it and hung it in the room since they were in her mother's room to surprise her.

He then said to her, "You can open your eyes now." As she opened her eyes, Lana saw an image of herself and Simon as if the image had been painted, but how did Simon draw an image of her in just a few seconds?

Noticing her confusion, Simon said to her, "What you see there is the result of my talent, the Photographic Crystal. It captures the memories and emotions of those nearby and materializes them as instant images. This is my way of showing you how important you are to me, Mom. Every time you look at this image, you will remember this precious moment we shared together."

Lana remained speechless, deeply moved by her son's thoughtful gesture. Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized the love and devotion Simon had for her. She hugged her son tightly, thanking him from the bottom of her heart for this extraordinary gift. Tears in her eyes due to her son's thoughtful gesture. She then took the frame in her trembling hands, admiring the image of herself and Simon, frozen in a moment of happiness and love.

"Simon, this is wonderful," she said in a choked voice. "This is the most beautiful gift I have ever received. Thank you, my dear son."

Simon smiled, happy to see his mother's reaction. He knew that this gift was special to her because it symbolized their bond and the love they shared.

While Lana gazed at the image with emotion, Simon was already thinking of other ways to use his talent to make the Agadez Kingdom even better. He had ideas to improve the lives of all its inhabitants, from the smallest to the largest.

He was determined to use his talents for the good of all and to do his best to make the kingdom as prosperous and modern as possible.
