Hunting Demon: Part 1

But instead of them, Kanae brought Kanao with her because she wanted to make Kanao her Tsugoko. Speaking of Kanao, the person in question turned out to be behind Kanae and just stared at them in silence.

"You are very talented because you can master the breathing style in just a few days!" Kanae said praising them. Kanae was really impressed with their abilities, because as far as she knows, only Mist Hashira and Stone Hashira in the current generation are so talented that they can become Hashira in just two months. So she also wished for them to become stronger, because she had high hopes for them.

"Thank you~" Levi said happily, pleased with her praise, he then asked her. "So how was your mission last night?"

"That's great, we got 3 demons, and you know what! Kanao killed her first demon last night!" Kanae said, while placing her arm around Kanao praudly.

"I'm glad to hear that, but when can we join you on a demon hunt?" Yuki said suddenly with little jealousy when looking at Kanao for her oppurnity to hunt demon with Kanae.

Because they were focusing on their training in mastering and wanted to create a new Breathing Style, it would take time so they can't come, whereas Kanao who was compatible with Kanae's Flower Breathing could immediately become her dirrect apprentice and make her her Tsugoko.

Kanae found that Kanao matched her breathing style after she demonstrated her Flower Breathing to Levi and Yuki, even though Kanao only saw her doing so when she saw it in courtyard of the Butterfly Mansion, but when Kanae gave her a wooden sword to practice, she immediately tried the Second Form of Flower Breathing and almost succesed, so knowing that, Kanae taught her directly and brought her into her missions for further training.

Hearing Yuki question, Kanae put her finger on her lips and thinking about it after few second before answered. "How about tonight? I see that you have mastered several forms of breathing style, so tonight you will perfecting your skills by slaying demons."

"I'm fine with that, I also want to try what I learned on a real opponent~" Yuki said expectantly, she then caressing the flat side of her katana and put it again on the scabbard.

When the sun sets and turns into night, in the middle of the city. Four people can be seen walking around with katana on their hips, these people are Levi, Yuki, Kanae and Kanao.

As promised they were currently hunting demons in the center of town, because Kanae had received information that recently people often disappeared suddenly at night. But what made Levi and Yuki confused and felt strange was that Kanae received that information from a speaking crow...

They asked about it to Kanae, and what they got from her was that the crows were Kasugai Crows, Kanae said they used them for communication between Demon Slayer members. For extra information, each crows has their own names, and Kanae's crow name was Hana.

"So how we will find this demon?" Yuki said while looking around. She didn't find anything strange, seeing that the town they came to was still quite a lot of people passing by on the streets at night, even though there were rumors that there were missing people.

"Hmm... How about we split up? because that would obviously broaden our search area." Kanae suggested.

"I agree with that. And if a demon is too strong for us to fight, we can use Hana to send a message for help. " Levi added. He might be confident in his abilities, but that wouldn't give him a big head just because of that. He knew that what he faced on the first night was cannon fooder and not the top of the world's food chain.

After they all agreed, they split into two teams, Kanae with Kanao and Levi with Yuki. They divided them like that not without reason because in terms of skills Kanae was the highest and Kanao was the lowest, so by pairing them they would balance each other and not be one-sided.

Levi and Yuki then diceded keep walking around the city after being separated by Kanae. As they walked, they also did not forget to listen to every talk that their ears could hear from people around them.

"Hey this food is delicious how do you make it?" "If you turn left at the next corner you will reach..." "When will you repay your debt!?"

Out of all the unimportant talk they heard, there was one that made them stop their steps to hear it more clearly.

"Did you know that the eldest daughter of Akihiro-san went missing last night."

"Really?"

"Yes, lately there have been many incidents of missing people at night"

"If that's true then we better go home, I don't want to be the next victim. "

"It's funny to know that these people live among demons but they live in ignorance about that." Yuki chuckled when listening the whispers of the two women they eavesdropped.

Ignoring Yuki remarks, Levi then intercepted the woman who wanted to leave and asked them. "Excuse me, I was just passing by and happened to hear the name Akihiro, do you guys know where he lives?"

"Emm... sure, the house is on the outskirts of town, you just go straight from here and turn left when you reach the third turn, next to his house is a shina soba shop so you'll find it easy when you have arrived."

Although any people will find it strange when unknown people suddenly ask that kind of question, especially when the one who asked that question is a kid, but the woman who was being questioned was in an unstable state due to the fear of rumors circulating, so she just gave it away, and want to go home as quickly as possible.

"Thank you" Levi said while bowing a little.

After the woman leave, Levi and Yuki then countiued walking towards the direction the woman had told him about.
