Chapter 229: Alliance Agreement
Houyan Meili walked out of a blood path formation as she gazed at the beautiful wings on her back. The wings were made of crimson and pink feathers and were extremely large. She smiled brightly as her wings fluttered. This was her true body.
Her emotions were complex. She had despised blood path for many years and yet, she was revived by blood path methods. Even the only Vermillion Bird she knew outside Holy Flame City was a blood path expert.
"Thank you" Houyan Meili brushed those thoughts aside and beamed a smile at Lu Zheng.
"There is no need. A true man must always take care of his women" Lu Zheng spoke shamelessly.
Houyan Meili's face turned pink as she remembered a certain memory she shared with Lu Zheng: "Hmph! Don't think it's that easy to make a woman of the Houyan Imperial Family become your woman"
Lu Zheng only shook his head as the formation shone again. After a breath of time, Immortal Star stepped out of the formation.
Immortal Star gazed fervently at Lu Zheng as he stood. If a random person walked by, they would think Lu Zheng and Immortal Star spent their nights together.
"Immortal Star" Lu Zheng chuckled.
Immortal Star's hair stood on their ends as he stared fixedly at Lu Zheng.
"You still haven't paid me for using my body"
"What do you mean?" Immortal Star's voice was deep.
"Hehe" Lu Zheng snickered. "You chased me across two continents and used my body to revive again. You even reached the Acquisition realm with my body. Do you think I am a free tool?"
Immortal Star felt wronged: "You were the one who killed me"
"That's because you attacked me first" Lu Zheng smiled as he squinted his eyes. His smile was mesmerising but Immortal Star only saw a black hearted devil.
"What do you want?" Immortal Star relented. He had the same battle strength as Lu Zheng but he was far weaker than the man.
His star path methods were still unprepared since he revived and his battle strength was too low for him to even defend against Lu Zheng.
He was the weaker one between the two of them.
"An alliance agreement" Lu Zheng said simply. He told Immortal Star the conditions and he went ballistic.
"What is this!? The agreements only place a restriction on me! I cannot attack you directly or indirectly no matter the conditions!" Immortal Star was aggrieved. If he agreed, he would be helpless against Lu Zheng.
"After we form the alliance agreement, you are free to explore the main world if you wish. I will not force you to stay here with me. But, I cannot trust you fully, not until you agree to these conditions" Lu Zheng spoke smoothly but his bloodline power diffused from his blood vessels. He was ready to fight Immortal Star at any time.
Half an hour later, Lu Zheng and Immortal Star appeared with Houyan Meili in the lightning realm. Immortal Star had a furious expression but he had calmed down from the time Lu Zheng had forced him into agreeing into an alliance agreement.
Lu Zheng had a proud expression.

At the base of Bai Xi Mountain, eight youngsters armed with weapons stood. They all wore battle armour and were from the human race. From their looks, one could tell they had wealthy backgrounds.
A female from the group looked at the grand mountain before them and sighed: "We've already searched this mountain range thoroughly, only this mountain is left. If the Snow Crystal Essence isn't here, we can only report to the clan with failure"
Another person with a fawning expression spoke up: "Yuxi, you cannot say we did not try. Even if we return empty handed, your father will not be disappointed"
Another male also spoke up quickly: "Hmph! Liu Gan, stop being so pessimistic. Yuxi has been very filial to the Clan Head, we will surely find the Snow Crystal Essence on this Bai Xi Mountain"
Na Yuxi, the female who had initially spoken looked at the two men and sighed. They were Na Liu Gan and Na Dong Bai. Both men were fairly handsome and they constantly fought each other for her but she was too depressed to deal with them at the moment.
Turning to face the entire group, Na Yuxi forced a smile: "You guys should prepare.
We will be ascending Bai Xi Mountain now"
Coincidentally, Lu Zheng just moved out of the aperture fragment when he discovered the group of eight.
