As we were sprinting through the courtyard, we both scanned the immediate area and as far ahead as we could see through or around the shrubs, looking for any horns or the red leathery skin of demons that could be wandering up ahead. We had ran half way through the courtyard before we dared check the sky for any flying foes, and thankfully the sky was clear, well as clear as a red sky can be. We were three quarters of the way to the bleachers now, and my lungs were burning, I didn't know if I would be able make it there without stopping. I glanced at Eli and I could tell he was hurting too, but he didn't show any signs of stopping or slowing down, and it helped me keep going the last stretch before we made it to the bleachers. We were just steps away from the bleachers protection when I got a terrible feeling that something was right behind us. Me and Eli pushed the last few steps towards the stands and with each step closer we got the feeling I had in my stomach deepened, until we were just inches away from the bleachers and I couldn't hold it back any longer; I jumped the last step to get under the bleachers, turned in mid air and pulled my knife out ready to take on whatever was following us... except there was nothing there. "What's wrong?" Eli said gasping for breath. "Uh, nothing I guess, just a bad feeling" I said and then took a deep breath to calm my nerves and my breathing. We continued walking under the bleachers at a leisurely pace until we got to the other end of the bleachers. We just stood there and looked out at the parking lot, searching for my car or anything dangerous that could be hiding around the cars. "There" Eli pointed to spot a little off to our right where my maroon Ford Fusion was waiting for us to drive home. "Ah, thank god my baby is still fine and ready to rock!" I said while rubbing my hands together and Eli just rolled his eyes. My family wasn't rich but we were still pretty well off, I'd say we were upper middle class because both my parents worked since me and my little sister Josie were at school all day. My mom only worked a part time job because my dad had a job that made him travel a lot and so he pulled in most of the money in our house and payed for most things. That let my mom use the money she got for things she wanted or... to buy her children things like a new car. At the beginning of my junior year she bought me the car that was in front of us now and since then I had decked it out as much as I could with my own money, buying things like speakers, lights, turbos, and anything else I thought would make my car better. So yeah I was happy to see my car still intact and able to drive. There was still a fence in between us and the car, but the fence was only belly button high and I could see that the gate was open to the parking lot. "Alright once we're fully recovered we're going to run through the gate over there and straight to towards my car, I'll unlock it once we're closer to it because it'll beep when it unlocks, ok?" I told Eli. "Yeah sound good, just don't be an idiot and drop your keys" Eli joked. I laughed "I won't I promise, you ready?" "Yeah I'm good" and so we both took off at a break neck speed again towards my car. Not forgetting about the strange feeling I had right before we got under the bleachers I immediately started to scan the sky again as we left them. I still hadn't seen anything on the ground or air since that imp in mr.Rams classroom, and it worried me. Maybe be they had all got cold and migrated south,I don't know, I still had a bad feeling in my gut that I just couldn't seem to shake.
