Vol. 2 - Chapter 10: In the Silence of the Night.

Part 1- The streets of Rio Grande City

It's around 10 pm and Maria walks around all the rooms to put special seals in their doors so no magic could get through. The three nuns and Valerie are fast asleep. Daniel is playing videogames in his bed. Sister Carolina is praying in her room, and the other members of the staff went home for the night. Uriel is walking in the streets searching for something suspicious, but the only suspicious things he sees is drunk people walking after a party night because it was a Saturday.

Uriel is walking down a street of tall buildings, the streets lights were flashing making it feel like a horror film. Uriel thinks to himself:

"Now this is scary, according to Sister Carolina, the people are chosen by the beast with some sort of hypnosis. They usually walk from their houses voluntarily and when the family members notices they have already disappeared."

Uriel continues to walk around some parts of the town where houses have their lights off and some are even abandoned. He walks slowly when he hears somebody saying to him:

"Hey kid stop right there, this is no time to be outside." Uriel turns around and there are 4 police men running straight towards him.

"This is bad, they notice me" Uriel thinks to himself as he begins to run fast. The police men get into their car and drive trying to catch him. They activate their loudspeakers and say:

"Stop right there you're under arrest." Uriel runs faster but he notices there were 10 police car following him. He begins to panic.

"This is Police unit 100, we are following on what it appears to be a young man. He wears a red coat, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes we are currently in pursuit." The police officer says to the radio contacting the police station.

"Ah man now I'm in big trouble. I'm going to be arrested in my debut." Uriel thinks to himself when he turns into the next street and he falls by accident into a sewer without the police men noticing.

The police are searching for Uriel but they can't find him. A police officer says:

"Demonios, we lost him, we should head back to patrolling." The other police men answer:

"Yes sir."

When the police men leave, Uriel climbs up from the sewer covered in black water and begins to laugh saying: "Damn my luck." He continues to run into the streets searching for the monster.

In the top of the building the man with the skeleton mask says to the beast that is behind him: "It's time do it already you beast"

He then blows his whistle causing the monster to have pain in his ears. The monster begins to fly into the west part of town and begins to roar: (RRRRAAAAWWWWWWW)

The intense roar causes some of the people that hear it to get up from their beds, and walk out their houses hypnotize. The monster begins to attack them one by one and taking them away into the sky until the there were none left in the west part of the town.

Part 2- Northwest Part of Rio Grande City.

Uriel begins to hear gun shots around the west part of the city. He begins to run there once again to see what's happening. In the west of the city the police is fighting a figure of what it appears to be a man, but with great red eyes.

"We need back up that thing is killing my men, I repeat we need back up." The officer says through the radio, he then leaves his car and begins to shoot the man who is killing the police officers one by one. The creature then extends its wings and elevates to the sky, it charges straight to the police officer but the officer dodges the attack but the creature destroys the car causing an explosion.

The monster continues the assault and takes down two more police. Katsumi who is standing in the top of the building sees the explosion and says to herself: "It's happening there, I must hurry." She begins to run on top of the buildings heading towards the explosion.

The officer connects a bullet to the monster. The monster charges straight to him and stands in front of the officer. The monster is 7 feet tall and its wings were large, its body is grey color with huge red eyes, pointy ears and a tail with spikes going from the head to the tail.

(RRRRAAAAAWWWWWW)

The monster roars with great intensity paralyzing the officer, but he hits the monster in the stomach with his fist and did not had any effect. The monster stabs the officer in the stomach with its claws; it passes through his body causing him to throw up blood. The monster slowly elevates the officer to point that his feet does not touch the ground anymore. The officer with his last breath says: "Fuck you" Takes out a grenade and triggers it.

(BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM)

The explosion of the bomb caused alarms to set off. The officer disappeared but the monster remains intact. The monsters spreads its wings and begins to fly up in the sky and sees the ministry of San Juan. It begins to fly straight for it.

Uriel arrives at the scene and sees blood all over the street and many dead people. He begins to feel dizzy and throws up. He is shaking from his feet feeling fear. He hits himself in the face and begins to say: "Come on, pull yourself together, you need to protect your family!"

Step by step Uriel begins to walk slowly down the street but he doesn't see the monster. He closes his eyes and thinks to himself: "Calm down, you need to hear the melody of the monster."

Uriel begins to hear the wings of the monster, and looks at the direction were its heading. He opens his eyes and realizes it's were the ministry is located. He begins to run saying: "Damn it that is were everyone is at I must hurry"

He concentrates manna in his feet and jumps unleashing a great force in the ground causing wind to blow hard and he heads with fast speed to the northwest part of the city. Hiding in an ally was Katsumi who saw Uriel's actions without noticing it was him. He begins to walk to a street light and says:

"That guy is troublesome but I must follow him to see if he is a friend or a foe." Katsumi begins to run to the street following Uriel as well.

Part 3 – Ministry of San Juan

"I'm going to the restroom sister." Mariana tells Fabiola who is laying on her bed still awake.

"Okay, but go quickly." Fabiola responds to Mariana. Mariana steps outside the room without noticing the tag that Maria left on their door.

It's already midnight, Maria and Carolina fall asleep in the kitchen so they haven't notice that Mariana was out of her room. The others were fast asleep as well meaning that Fabiola was the only one awake at that moment. After Mariana gets out of the restroom she heads back to her room.

The monster flies on top of the Northwest region of the Rio Grande City. In that part there are few houses including the Ministry of San Juan, and in the back it is surrounded by hills making it the poorest part of town. The monster repeats his roar:

(RRRRRRAAAAAWWWW)

Mariana who was heading to her bedroom heard the roar and falls into its hypnosis. She begins to walk the other way towards the exit of the Ministry without anyone noticing. It's been 5 minutes and Fabiola stands up and begins to run in search of Mariana thinking:

"It has been a while since Mariana went to the restroom she is in danger." Fabiola runs outside the ministry and sees Mariana. When she is about to step outside she notices the winged monster in the sky.

Fabiola turns and sees many people outside their houses standing their hypnotized. The monster flies down and attacks a man who is standing outside on the far end of the street. The monster covers the man with its wings causing him to scream. The monster finish and the man begins to turn into ashes and disappears.

Fabiola begins to tremble of fear thinking to herself: "It's the same as before, what should I do?"

The monster begins to attack one by one the people closing in on Mariana. Fabiola slaps herself and stops shaking. She runs to Mariana and begins to slap and yell her name trying to wake her up. The monster finishes the last person next to their house and begins to charge at the girls.

"MAAAARRRIIAAANNNA!!!" Fabiola screams for the last time causing Mariana to react. She sees the monster and screams; the monster notices and begins to charge at them. Fabiola says: "Stand back Mariana"

Mariana then goes behind Fabiola. Fabiola with a brave face puts her two hands in front in a position as she was holding something. She than begins to chants:

"En el nombre del Santo Protégeme: Lanza Divina de Santa Inés"

(Translate: In the name of the father protect me: Divine Lance of Saint Ines)

A spear with a white staff and a silver blade appears in her hands. She grabs the spear and hits the monster with the staff and says: "I'm your opponent."
