Chapter 18, Are You Up To Something?
"Don't you know that your business is now mine? Or have you forgotten that I am now the president?"
"James!" The old man yelled from the other side of the phone, he felt that the little brat was going too far already.
"You may be the president, but I am still the chairman and the majority share holder of this company, I will not seat by and let you crumble what I have had to work hard to build over the years" John threatened James but he only smiled from the President's seat.
"Then you should talk to your son about this, don't come barking at me, I am not the one with secrets…." James said dragging the words.
"We all know that he's the one that started it dad " James completed his sentence with a harmless warning as he successfully pushed all the blame to his brother.
" By the way, talking bout stocks and shares, you should know what's about to happen in a matter of days, or perhaps hours" James said.
Since he has been running a successful company for over two years before coming back to the state capital, He knew that everything that has a disadvantage has an advantage in the stock market
Either the stocks rise or fall depending on how they handle the situation.
John Baron wanted to say something but when he thought of how smart James Baron is to bring the matter of the stock to him, his anger subsided.
"Just fix it as soon as possible" John said and then hung up the phone.
Although he was worried that James might mishandle the company, a part of him was still sure that James wouldn't dare to be too lackadaisical with it for that is so far the only thing of the Baron's in his hands, it's his only weapon that he could use, he wouldn't let it crumble too soon.
And indeed John was right, James immediately handle the whole situation like a pro.
Not only did he use the situation to his own advantage by proving to others once again that he's a capable president, he found a way of transferring a news to the public during one of the press conference he held.
When he was asked about his relation to the young man who had allegedly claimed to be the real young Baron, he had prepared an answer to them which shocked even Johnathan when he heard it.
"Johnathan Baron isn't entirely wrong in his claim, although he is not the known legitimate child of the Barons, he does have a relation to the family, he was just playing a prank with me and I fell for it but everything I now cleared, my cousin and I have already sorted everything out."
Everyone was shocked and read his words in between the line, so in that way, he kind of revealed his brother to also be a Baron, but just a distant one.
This piece of information caused an uproar within the company and people thought that probably his cousin was here to take over the company from him and as a result, for the very first time people doubted the Baron Enterprise.
So some of the people that owned some shares if the company decided to share their shares in order to avoid future dispute between the cousins.
At that time, the shares were very low, but when other started selling their shares, the prices suddenly skyrocket and it ended up lifting the ratings of the Baron Enterprise
When John saw this, he didn't understand what James was doing at first but still thought to trust him, and it turned out to benefit them both.
Because both father and son had someone buy shares for them severely.
Soon after, everything went back to normal except no one had seen Johnathan after the incident.
But with the turn out of event, John decided to pay his son a visit.
"Johnathan open the door" Master John Baron said with greeted teeth from outside Johnathan's door after opening it bug Johnathan locked himself inside and refused to open the door.
Master Baron had to get someone to bring the spare keys and open the door before he entered to see Johnathan casually sitting on a seat in front of the door observing them with a Pepsis smile on his face.
Master John Baron didn't understand what was going on, after two days, he had expected his son to be angry at him and probably on the verge of killing someone, but he actually had a brought smile on his face.
"Spill the beans Johnathan, why are you smiling?" Master John even forgot that eh was ready to scold his son and wanted to find out what was making the man smile so happily.
"Have you not figure it out now Mr. Baron? Or do you still not know that I am your son's cousin?"
Master John Baron was not surprised that Johnathan already found out that he was declared as James's cousin in order to kill the scandal that he almost raised.
But one thing was still strange, why was he smiling? He didn't expect the child to actually enjoy it except of cause he had something to do with it.
John grabbed the nearest seat and sat across his son, he felt that there was more fir them to discuss thsn he had actually exoected.
Thus was the other side of Johnathan that he was curious to find out.
"Tell me, we're you up to something?"
"Do you think I am up to something dad!?" Johnathan asked his father right back.
"In fact, I don't think, I know you are up to something, you are my son and I can tell when you have something going on, so are you going to tell me or not?"
Johnathan looked at his father as he debated wether to tell him or not. He was really weighing his options very well first before he acted.
Should he tell the old man or not?
