Chapter 22: A fierce Battle

The sun fell on Gloom's body, and Gloom immediately used the Synthesis move. For a while, the buds and leaves on his body gave off a burst of white light, and then, a burst of soft green light also wrapped her whole body.

Under this soft green light, Gloom's injuries began to recover at a speed visible to naked eye. Gloom's Synthesis lasted for nearly 30 seconds. After it was over, the injuries on her body were completely recovered, it had returned back to their peak state.

This was the biggest advantage of having a Grass type Pokemon. Zubat would've taken almost a day to heal from injuries which Gloom healed in just 30 seconds. After healing utself Gloom made its way back to Kaede who now took out a Gas mask from his backpack and wore it to fend of the stench as it was now unbearable but seeing its trainer and Zubat Gloom was very happy that finally there was someone who was willing to make friends with it and decided to shrink its petal as much as possible to lower the stench which was very effective Zubat also flyed back to them as it became bearable to stay with Gloom, Kaede also took off his mask.

"Gloom can you take us to a river if you know one" asked Kaede which Gloom excitedly nodded and pulled his pants to show a river. It took only 20 minutes for them to reach a river on the way any Pokemon lying in ambush would run away due to Gloom stench. After reaching the river Kaede decide to wash off his fatigue and also prepare lunch for his pokemon and himself. He released the only Pokemon left in the Pokeball his Nidoran♂ which immediately after coming out pounced on Kaede and started crying but before it could do so he put a gem pokeblock in Nidoran♂ mouth which effectively made it stop crying. The he introduced Nidoran♂ to Gloom amd they hit it off immediately well partially because Gloom covered up her stench more and also gave Nidoran♂ some honey that she had stored in her petals.

Zubat drank almost 5L of tauros blood and Nidoran♂ ate poison type food whereas Gloom decided to root itself to ground and eat nourishment directly from the mudy ground. This was another advantage of having a Grass type.

After they were done eating Kaede boiled some water as river water would end up making them sick. The climate of Viridian forest was very unpredictable as immediately dark clouds appeared and it seemed as it would start raining soon. Kaede had to find some shelter soon after looking for a big tree Sato kaede comanded Gloom " Gloom use secret power on the tree trunk" Gloom placed its hand on the tree trunk and used its move which ended up making a perfect size hole in the trunk of the tree, After some more modification this had become a good shelter to stay in.

Soon it started raining and the once empty river started flooding woth different types of Pokemon since it was dark Kaede used his laptop infrared vision to watch what was happening outside he saw some water pokemon as well as a dozen of Squirtle. This place had many Squirtle which was a surprise. But more surprising was the presence of a Mudkip here but it only came to surface once to breath and then it didnt surface again. Mudkip are very rare in kanto.

While looking at the river through the laptop he suddenly sae a Gyarados, who was in enraged, and a Poliwrath, appeared on Sato Kaede's laptop screen.

Two powerful Pokémons apparently came here from the upper reaches of the river. Judging from the current situation, the huge Gyarados was actually getting beaten by the smaller Poliwrath.

In rainy weather, the speed of this Poliwrath is incredible. He can even walk and accelerate on the surface of the turbulent river. A pair of big Iron Fist hits Gyarados every time it hits it made the opponent roar in pain.

Gyarados, who fell into a rage, has almost lost his reason now. The Hyper Beam and huge Hydro Pump in his mouth are constantly spraying out. Because Poliwrath is too flexible, his Hyper Beam and Hydro Pump simply couldn't hit, but caused huge damage to the surrounding environment.

"It's really strong, this level of battle…" Seeing the fierce battle scene on the screen, Sato Kaede showed a trace of desire. Poliwrath was using hit n run tactic so the battle wasnt confined to a single place and soon they left the place.

When the two powerful Water Type Pokémon gradually disappeared, the dark clouds in the sky also gradually disappeared. About more than 2 minutes later, the heavy downpour that appeared began to gradually diminish and stop. The water level of the river was soaring. It also gradually returned to its usual state because there was no follow-up supplement for the precipitation.
