Annual Business Summit (Part 2)

"Maria?" Indra exclaimed as his body shuddered slightly. Noticing the slight change within him, Alice slowly turned her head towards the women in front of her and finally towards Ema as she leaked a very tiny amount of killing intent.

Ignoring her actions, Maria's smile remained the same as she slowly walked towards him.

Returning to his former self, he gazed at her who was only a few inches away from him. She tiptoed towards his ear and whispered something inaudible to everyone else except him. Upon hearing her words, his eyes narrowed as he took a step away from her with disgust.

The remaining feeling of love and affection for her disappeared instantly. The remaining people around them looked at the duo in surprise. Why was the new CEO interacting with the CEO of Falcon Steels interacting so closely? Were they related perhaps? Despite the whispers, nothing came to their mind as they closely observed the duo.

While this particular duo were engaged in a silent battle, several meters away from them, Ema and Alice stared at each other with hatred. Alice in particular.

"I still don't get it. How could you possibly betray us? Especially when boss was so kind to us!" Alice ignored the onlookers and fixated her eyes towards her. Ema yawned slightly in boredom, irking Alice furthermore. It wasn't her feigning ignorance. Rather, it was her way of telling Alice that everyone whom she betrayed were all fools.

"How dare you-" Just then, Indra walked in front of Alice and stared at Ema. Noticing the person who had stabbed his most precious friend was right in front of him, Indra's eyes glowed in golden as he released his pressure on Ema.

He so wanted to rip her apart and make her pay for what she did. It was then Winston and Maria stepped in front of Ema calmly and released their auras to cancel the pressure emitted by Indra.

"Mr. Indra, as the new CEO of Golden Enterprises, why don't I offer you a toast of my sincere congratulations?" Hearing her reply, Indra's eyes returned to their former color, withdrew his aura and simply walked away from the trio.

However, after taking a few steps he slightly turned around towards them with hatred in his eyes and the smile within his face made them shudder.

"Know this well Maria, you have destroyed the last remnant of hope I had within you. Today is your day, but one day it will be my turn and when the tables turn, none of you would be able to handle it. Let's go Alice." Indra walked away as Alice glanced at Ema for one last time, before following him to enjoy the party.

Maria's face scrunched as she realized the terrifying power her brother had. It was no wonder, he was hailed as the Strongest Man who had attained the peak of Cosmic Realm. The title of Strongest Man was neither an exaggeration nor a joke. Back then, Maria was at the middle stage of Emperor's realm and personally witnessed how Indra slew thousands of warriors with just one swing of his axe.

This was exactly why she strove for more strength. She hated the fact that she was nothing but inferior in front of her brother. She was like an ant in front of a behemoth. It was then she decided to serve under Daemon, who promised her ultimate power. Even at the cost of killing her parents, she finally had obtained multiple Dem crystals, which allowed her rise through power for the past one thousand years.

Losing herself in her insanity, she continued to kill to appease Daemon. When in reality, she did it to appease herself. She wanted to eliminate the infinite gap between her and Indra. Sitting at the mid stage of Cosmic Realm, she was no longer afraid of her brother.

Or so she thought. But when he slightly released his pressure, not only was it unbearably strong, but his maniacal smile made it all the more terrifying. The only person to ever terrify her was the man whom she detested the most.

While Aaron was nowhere to be found, Winston shuddered at Indra's power. A power unlike anything he had ever seen. Neither him nor his master would ever be able to face such power. Looking for his master, he heaved a sigh of relief as he stared at Indra's back.

"Has he always been this strong?" Hearing his question, Maria nodded slightly in reluctance.

"He was a monster whom none could ever face alone. The only person ever to do so…" She spoke the last of her words quietly as she gritted her teeth furiously, surprising some of the onlookers around her. Winston's eyes widened as she realized whom she referred to.

"It seems that we have to enact the plan as soon as possible. Only He can come close to defeating him." Having heard his words, Maria smiled slightly as she raised her head up returning to her formed calm and arrogant self.

"Don't worry, everything is under control and soon, not even Indra would be able to do anything for He is going to become stronger than ever." Walking away from Winston, she noticed some of the celebrities join in for a drink with her and engage in a conversation with her.

Just as Winston was about to go search for Aaron, he noticed Ema frozen in shock as she was sweating profusely. Many thoughts filled her head as she was unable to lift her head up. Unsurprised, Winston shook his head and walked away leaving a frozen Ema all to herself. Noticing this, Alice chuckled as she silently took a picture of her.

Time trickled slowly as the party was at its peak. Many musicians played violins, pianos while some famous musicians gathered to entertain other guests in the main hall. Those who were friendly, exchanged toasts to each other. Those who weren't maintained a friendly smile towards each other and insulting each other within their hearts.

Many famous businessmen talked to the new CEO of Golden Enterprises to express their hearty congratulations. Despite being a CEO for a little over a month, none treated him as a newbie. On the contrary, they gave their genuine appreciation, while some were very excited to become future business partners with Indra.
