The Path He Should Have Walked
That year, when dealing with the Living Realm fractures and searching for traces of Earth, Di Tou had spent all his cultivation as well as a great amount of vitality to send out a ball of Void Qi that could potentially destroy an entire realm if given time to proliferate. This wasn't because the attack itself was particularly strong, but rather because of the unique aspect of the Void that could be considered a natural counter to a realm.
In this way, he had essentially grasped and manipulated a core aspect of the Void. All things came from the Void, and similarly, all things would return to the Void. Although the Void wasn't normally like a plague, quickly spreading and devouring entire worlds and universes, it was also a fundamental nature and energy of the universe. Like the entire universe was created in an instant with the 'big bang' similarly, the entire universe could flip and return to chaos with another such explosion of energy.
