Kang Taeshin

After hearing stories of Asahi's past that were closely related to Ling Fei's Kang Taeshin and Lee Gon, Bai Lu was even more convinced that the power in his body was still unknown to everyone.

His power was indeed different, he was almost equivalent to the power of a God. Not to mention, when she and Taeshin fought together to defeat Shin Yeongdo, Bai Lu felt such a strong and huge energy inside Taeshin.

Feeling like she had too much on her mind lately, Bai Lu decided to take a bath in the Nim river not far from a hut, where her friends were resting.

All her friends were already asleep, but Bai Lu couldn't sleep at all. Accompanied by the moonlight of the full moon, Bai Lu spent her night bathing in the Nim River.

However, as she was bathing, suddenly her left shoulder, which had a tattoo with Tagalog letters, felt sore and painful. The pain she felt made the tattoo turn red and emit a glow that made it hurt even more.

In excruciating pain, Bai Lu held her left shoulder and tried to endure the pain that was like being pierced by thousands of needles, as well as being burned by holy fire.

"Arghh, why does it hurt so much? This is the first time I've felt this pain near my left shoulder."

"Your shoulder is turning red, Yuram shii!"

Kang Taeshin suddenly appeared on the riverbank, causing the bathing Bai Lu to immediately cover her body with both hands.

"What are you doing here?" asked Bai Lu nervously and turned his back on Taeshin, who seemed to immediately avert his eyes.

"I couldn't sleep. That's why I came here to go take a shower. I didn't know that you were also here to take a shower," she stammered.

Kang Taeshin looked stunned because he himself was so embarrassed, why should he ask Bai Lu who was taking a bath to talk? In fact, he himself knew that Bai Lu was a woman who had her own boundaries with him who was a man.

"Don't look back. I'm going to get my clothes first."

Taeshin nodded his head quickly As soon as Taeshin turned his back, Bai Lu immediately picked up her clothes that were by the river, then put them on.

"Already."

"Already?" asked Taeshin nervously to make sure.

"Hm, I'm already fully dressed."

Taeshin immediately faced back towards Bai Lu. The two of them then sat together on the bank of the Nim River, looking up at the night sky accompanied by the light of the full moon.

"It's already the full moon," Taeshin opened his voice.

"What's with the full moon?"

"A sign that something interesting is coming our way."

Bai Lu looked at Taeshin's face who was looking at the light of the full moon. Feeling being looked at constantly like that by her, Taeshin felt so nervous that his cheeks turned red, like tomato red.

"Why are you looking at me like that, Yuram~shii"

"I feel something strange about you, Taeshin."

"Strange how do you mean?" asked Taeshin back as he looked at Bai Lu's face who was looking at him.

"You're very mysterious. Why are you so mysterious, Taeshin~shii? Why are you hiding your identity from all of us? We're friends, right?"

Taeshin smiled slightly. He lowered his head, but after that he looked deeply into Bai Lu's face again.

"What do you want to know about me, Yuram~shi?"

"Everything, everything inside you."

Taeshin was silent without flinching. He averted his eyes then looked back at the bright full moon.

"Where should I start, Yuram~shii? Don't you already know about me from Asahi's past that your brother saw?"

"You know that?" Bai Lu looked back at Taeshin's face.

"Yes, I know that. Then, what else do you want to know about me?"

"I want to know what I don't know about you, from your own mouth, Taeshin~shii."

Taeshin and Bai Lu looked at each other for a long time. However, at that very moment Taeshin gave a white-colored crystal ball to Bai Lu. Inside the crystal, there was a Mugunghwa flower or as it is more commonly known today, a Sharon rose.

"What is this?" Bai Lu looked confused when Taeshin gave her a crystal ball.

"The crystal ball of life. This was given to me by my master before I started my journey to wander in this extremely cruel world, and to atone for all my past sins. I am on a journey of penance, Yuram."

"Penance?"

Taeshin nodded his head. Bai Lu who received the life crystal ball from Taeshin, could only stare at it intently.

"I come from the Seokyundong school. My teacher Okuda has educated me and trained me until I became this extraordinary person. I am a Gumiho human who lived thousands of years before you came into this world, Yuram~shii."

"Gumiho man?" Bai Lu was so surprised when she heard what Taeshin told her.

Taeshin nodded his head again and looked up at the night sky filled with stars.

"My father is human, my mother is a 9-tailed fox demon. I was born a mixed-blood human. If you must know, I am older than you, Yuram~shii. Perhaps, I'm a few hundred years below Yeonseok's age. Oh no, if Yeonseok has lived for 5000 years. Then, I have lived for 3000 years."

"You're that old? But, your face looks so young?" Bai Lu shouted, making Taeshin laugh at the sound.

"You're very surprised?"

"Yes, I'm very surprised, Taeshin~shii."

Taeshin smiled slightly and took the crystal ball that was in Bai Lu's hand and looked at it.

"My two parents died for some reason. When they died, I entered the Seokyundong school at a very young age. Master Okuda trained me, educated me, and gave me extraordinary powers that perhaps not all humans, or other mythical creatures could master.

"I was Master Okuda's favorite student, so he trusted me and gave me all of his knowledge and power. Until one day, Lee Imhwan, the leader of the Ordio army came to me and asked me to join him.

"He recruited me because he knew what power I had. At first, I refused. But, he continued to seduce me by luring me with the promise that if I joined him, he would help me find out who killed my parents, and help me get my revenge as well.

"Lee Inhwan knows that Master Okuda is one of the greatest and most respected masters of mankind, even of the gods on earth. Not just anyone can become his student. I myself don't know how I was chosen by him to be a disciple. However, I am very grateful to him, because he has taught me so many things that all the knowledge he has given me is very useful."

Bai Lu smiled widely. He was so proud and admiring of Taeshin. Apparently, behind all the strength he had, there was a person like Master Okuda who trained him until Taeshin grew into a very great figure. It was an honor for Master Okuda to educate his student to become a great warrior like Kang Taeshin.
