A Bitter Surprise

There is nothing worse in this world that waking up to see that everything in your room is suddenly blue. Well that's life for you Rain.

I quickly closed my eyes and returned everything back to normal. I could do it with my eyes open but closing them gives me more concentration.

With that out of the way I quickly checked my phone for new messages. And oddly enough there was a new message. From an unknown number.

'There is a new development I think you should know'

The message was from Arianna, my sister. Arianna had also died a couple centuries ago and had returned thanks to our Mother.

I left my phone where I found it and got up from my cozy bed to start this not so wonderful day .

After brushing my teeth and finishing my business in the toilet, I dressed into a leather skirt and a white chiffon top. Then I put my black heels on and got out of my villa.

After i returned from the dead about two centuries ago, Mother made sure i was a millionaire.

As i made my way to the park i usually met with my sisters i couldn't help but remember how my life had turned out after death.

First, Mother had trained me physically so i could endure the magic and forbid it from consuming my soul. I had been in a different realm without truly knowing it.

There was something disturbing about that realm, and it took me some time to understand that the time went by differently there. Faster than on Earth.

When i managed to control my magic and proved that i was string enough to return back to the world of living, it had been about three centuries on Earth. Everyone I hated and cursed were already dead, so i had asked Mother to explain why bring me back.

That's when she cut all connections with me and let me live my life as an immortal. that being said two centuries ago. the only person i could contact was Arianna. But not too frequently because we lived on the opposite sides of the world.

That interrupted mt thoughts. Well, that and the sight of Arianna biting her lip nervously.

"What's up sis?" I asked her as i made my way and sat beside her on the cafeteria we normally met.

"Hey" she said. The nervous look on her face made her appear at least five years older.

"You can tell me anything ,you know that right?" I said hoping to calm her nerves.

"I have a surprise for you " she said, but her tone made it seem like it wasn't going to be a pleasant surprise at all.

"Remember when i told you a couple of years ago that i had seen someone who should have died a very long time ago?" she asked and i nodded."Well i remembered someone you have told me about. Someone who tortured you after your death."

I could only nod.

after i had died and when i woke up in that different realm there were scars covering my whole body. Mother said that during the time when my soul was unconscious someone had tortured me.

Later on Mother showed my their photos and i checked them all with Arianna.

"I saw him .Four days ago." Arianna said.

a smile crossed mt lips.

"Ari, those people are dead." i said smiling. just the idea of it was ridiculous.

Arianna didn't smile she just handed me her phone, when i saw the screen my blood ran cold. It was him. the person who tortured me.

Aric. Differently said my worst nightmare.

"Surprise" I heard Arianna whisper ,but my mind was way too disorganized, my blood too cold ,my breath too labor. The last thing i remember is remember falling
