Zoe's pov

"People find love in the strangest places your worst enemy might be your knight and shining armor," I remember this quote. It was in a textbook I read back as a kid but I don't remember who said it.

But it relates to my life at this moment.

I honestly don't want to find love.

Is my heart even working?

Nah!

I don't think so. It hasn't worked for 8 years and I am 18.

Hmm, maybe Mr. Green's eyes can make it work again.

High chance of it not happening

"Vincent Hades is my mate could this day get any worse?" I say to myself.

"But he has changed he's hot and different from that nerdy kid when we were little, did I say he's hot, he's more handsome. Did you see that face? The jawline is so defined. His eyes are greener. He is not the little boy who wears glasses anymore." my wolf said. He has actually changed. He would have looked extra cute if he still wore glasses.

"True but it is still Vincent the dork and idiot whom I hate with all my heart I hate him more than pineapple's and you and I know how much I hate pineapple," I say to her.

You may not understand where this is coming from. This is from the stories my mom told me of my

childhood since I couldn't remember most of it because of an accident.

All I can remember is Vincent and I used to be best of friends. We would do everything together, except for the shower!

What she told me from my accident was that we went to the lake and me being clumsy, nearly drowned.

I was in a coma for 6 months and Vincent and I never had an interaction again.

"Your allergic to pineapples," she says, snapping me back to reality.

"Well, I am allergic to him," I say.

She lets out a dry laugh and says "You cannot be since he is the cure to all your allergies."

"Whatever," I say to her knowing that she has a point and with that, I blocked her out of my mind. I haven't even spent a week here and I'm blocking my wolf more than usual!

Ugh!

"Moon goddess why him? Why this punishment? What did I do to deserve this I have been a good wolf!

Okay, I haven't but still!" I say, can you believe devil's spawn scoffs at me, what a pain in the butt.

"Listen Zoe I am also angry and frustrated that you are my mate, you should just go but and live your life, but then you are my mate and should stay and I cannot let you go because an Alpha needs his Luna. A king needs his queen." Vincent says and there's a little smile playing around my lips.

Oops, I forgot we were still with each other. My bad.

"You should be begging me to stay as you need me and stop behaving like you don't have a choice," I say to him feeling like I have an upper hand in this situation.

'you don't.' Ife remarks and she's right.

She's obviously always right.

"Me? Why in the world will I beg you to stay? For your information, I don't have a choice my hands are tied."

"Well, they don't look tied to me," I reply, okay that was dumb.

"Do you think you are funny? Have you always been an idiot?" he rhetorically asks, mean!

"You know you really are a jerk!" a rude one.

"Really? I didn't know, I'm so sorry I didn't worship you when I first saw you," he says sarcastically.

This is going to be an amazing eternity with him.

What am I saying? I'm going to reject him!

I roll my eyes and realize we are having this scenario in front of others.

*Cough* I look for where the cough comes from and it's from Stephanie.

"You like him, " Stephanie mind links me and I roll my eyes.

"I don't, I'm getting you new glasses."

"So Alpha Since she is (Vincent raises an eyebrow) was a part of my pack and now your mate we can use her as a trade to forget what my beta did," My dad says.

What the hell!

I am not a bargain or a toy for him to use!

Wait what did they do?

"Oh don't you mean you and your beta?" Vincent asks

"Alpha are you going to trade your daughter and let her die?" Dad's beta asks.

Translation~ these people are monsters and they kill for the fun of it!

Did he really think that Vincent was going to kill me? That's sick.

He won't, would he?

"My daughter is not going to stay in this pack," my dad says bitterly.

Don't I have a say in this?

It is my life after all.

Have I even met my father? I haven't even had a say in my life for over eight years now.

Vincent growls and it was the loudest growl I have ever heard and it's louder than my dad's and my dad's is pretty loud! And his growl almost I said almost made me want to submit.

"She is your daughter," he says to my father,

"You are his daughter," he says while turning to my direction, he chuckles bitterly. "Why am I not surprised about this situation?" he says rhetorically.

"What does he mean? What is he saying?" I ask with uneasiness laid in my tone "Oh so you and your wife didn't tell your daughter? How expected" he says.

"Dad tell me what is going on now!" I commanded I don't know how that happened but I know I was

really angry and my dad bowed his head down. Wait what did I just do?

Oh my goodness.

I leave everyone apart from Vincent and his leaders in shock. He has a smile that says he knew this was already going to happen.

"Qualities of a good Luna, you are already becoming one," Vincent says.

"Shut up" I growl.

He growls too and his wolf was already coming out and so was my wolf and there is no way in the world I was going to submit to him when I was about to jump him an unknown voice said.

"Vincent can you take a chill pill and have this meeting and tell them what the final decision is so I can have peace." The unknown voice said

"Shut up Jordan," I think his name is Jordan.

"He called him Jordan obviously that's his name," my wolf says then she keeps shut.

"Oh no there is no way you are getting all Alpha on me," he says to Vincent. Vincent rolls his eyes and I believe they are mind linking.

"I am the beta of this pack and the pups second in command well you can call me Jordan. And this is my mate Sydney Vincent's sister." Jordan says while introducing himself, at least someone in the pack is not mean

"Zo- Luna let me show you to your room," Jordan says. No! I just want to cry but I cannot show

weakness, not in front of him at least or to anyone else.

"Okay."

With that, I left and they started the meeting. But I heard a little bit before I left "Zoe can't find out about it" my dad says.

What can't I know about? And what secrets are they keeping that even my friends know about it but can't tell me?

Vincent's pov

"Zoe can't find out about it," Alpha Rodriguez says.

"Why can't she know about what you and your pack did?" Autumn questions

"Exactly," Sydney, says

"Because well I don't have to explain my self to you," Rodriguez says.

"Since I don't listen to the crap you say, you have to tell me why my 'lovely' so-called mate can't know the details about what you and your pack did or are you afraid Zoe might go on a rampage?" I say to him.

"Let's forget about this matter and discuss why you came here," Jordan says to reduce the risk of a fight breaking out here.

"Agreed," Rodriguez says. Jordan looks at me with his Wolf's eyes telling me he dares me to disagree. But my wolf wasn't agreeing and we knew the reason for this meeting was to be their friends more like allies and get revenge.

"Agreed" I mumble.

"Now since our pack found its new Luna from your pack we might reconsider attacking and causing a war that we all know your pack will lose, "Jordan said.

The meeting continues for over 120 minutes and all matters have been discussed except for one. But that is still a sore subject.

But in the end, we came to the conclusion that our pack won't attack if they leave peacefully but what they didn't know is that Vincent Hades is coming for them, or is he?
