Melting Ice

After that moment, I felt a strange sensation. The world had become more beautiful. My left eye, which had been blind from birth, could now see my black and white world. Ray's final move had made me doubt. Perhaps he, like his grand father, could also see more than glimpses of the future. Maybe he knew something.

He knew that if I killed him, one of my curses would break. I say curse... even the engraved rocks in that celestial city had a giant black violet flower etched on them, and next to them was a boy with dragon eyes and a shadow of a dragon. I guessed that he was myself, created centuries ago to break a curse whose origin was unknown. This person had three curses: one of his eyes was blind and had the form of a dragon, both his eyes couldn't see the colors of the world, and he couldn't feel any emotions.

As it was evident, this being had existed before and to break the curse that was added to history for no apparent reason, he needed to kill two of his dearest loved ones. After that, his curse would break, and only he would have the power to destroy this black violet curse and break the eternal winter spell of this world. Apparently, everyone knew about these things, except they didn't tell me. Now, people's discriminatory behavior towards me made sense.

The poor boy had to kill two people without knowing what love was, and then his curse would break. He would live the rest of his life in regret and sorrow, and in all previous cycles, their friends would succumb to the fate given by their enemy, leaving him alone. That was my fate.

I picked up Ray's body to bury it in their family cemetery. When I arrived there, I saw Violet and apparently, she understood everything. She said nothing, and we buried Ray together. Then she turned to me and said, "Tonight, at midnight, come for me to the mountain view where you can see that celestial city in the sky amidst the colorful stars." And she left.
