Warning! This is not a harem, smut and adult story. You won't like it! This is just a trashy story with an imperfect protagonist. I guarantee the others won't like it either. If you're looking for the perfect main character, read another novel. Don't push yourself, the author has warned you. --- What happens when legendary adventurers from the past come to the future? Rafe Lostfield, the greatest Assassin class adventurer of the Acedia era, suddenly wakes up in a strange place. The atmosphere around him was very strange. He also felt something strange in his body. He thought that his friends had taken him to a faraway place while he was fast asleep, not knowing that something greater had happened to him. "Do I need to show you the real perfect magic?" -Rafe Lostfield
Rafe just grinned as the successive attacks came at him, the approaching lancer and swordmaster immediately surprised as the magic coating their weapons vanished without a trace. Rafe nimbly deflected the lancer's spear thrust with Mace's sword, while the swordmaster's slash only sliced through the wind as Rafe dodged it to the side.
The ground trembled beneath Rafe's feet, suddenly a large chasm opened beneath Rafe's feet, but Rafe used Mace's sword in his left hand, driving it into the ground and then catapulting his body into the air, throwing Mace's body, which he carried in his right hand, out of the air at the guardian standing in front of the healer.
Rafe raised his right hand, and a bolt of lightning instantly struck from his right hand, forming a multi-branched wooden root. The sound of small explosions rang out in rapid succession as the lightning from Rafe's hand struck the dozens of fire arrows that rained down on him.
The guardian immediately jumped to catch Mace's body, but at the same time Rafe threw Mace's sword from his left hand at the wizard. Suddenly, the Guardian was shocked because he wouldn't have time to parry Mace's sword.
"Do not underestimate me! Fireball!" the wizard shouted as he used fireball magic to deflect Mace's sword.
An explosion sounded as the wizard's fireball magic struck Mace's sword. The swordmaster seemed to slash his sword from underneath, this time creating a dense wave of water in the shape of a sword slash that shot toward Rafe.
"He can use it?" thought Lancer, surprised to see that his friend could use magic in his attacks.
The lightning in Rafe's right hand transformed into a lightning blade, and with a single slash, the wave of water shooting up from below was cut in half. Rafe's body began to float down, this time Lancer grabbed his spear and began to aim at Rafe's body.
"Windstorm spear!" shouted Lancer as he threw his spear at Rafe's falling figure.
The spear Lancer threw seemed to spin fast, the strong rumbling wind began to condense around the spear. Rafe pointed the palm of his left hand at the accelerating spear, a bolt of lightning began to strike from Rafe's left hand, forming a ball of lightning that was so bright and dense.
A powerful explosion rang through the air as the ball of lightning from Rafe's left hand struck the lancer's spear, a wave of wind blowing strongly from the point of the explosion. Mace's friend, the swordmaster, didn't stay still; he ran toward Rafe's body, which managed to land on the ground.
"Die!" the Swordmaster shouted as he drew his sword.
"Hehehe... can't you fight without shouting?" taunted Rafe as he dodged the slash aimed at his head and countered with a swing of his right hand.
"Can't you this time?" muttered the swordmaster, surprised again that he couldn't use his magic to cover his sword thrust.
Rafe's fast attack managed to hit the swordmaster's stomach, suddenly the swordmaster's body rebounded from Rafe's blow, but at the same time five fire spears seemed to have shot towards Rafe, but Rafe easily avoided all the fire spears by twisting his body.
Mace's friend Lancer was also already on top of Rafe after retrieving his spear that had bounced off, this time he thrust his spear from above, aiming for Rafe's head. But the wave of wind that enveloped his spear disappeared as it came within a few feet of Rafe.
A loud crashing sound was heard as Lancer's spear hit the ground as Rafe managed to dodge it, and dust began to fly into the air right where Rafe had been standing. At that moment, Lancer glanced at the guardian who had just laid Mace's body on the ground,
"He's coming at you!" shouted Lancer.
"What?" muttered the Guardian in surprise, for the distance between Lancer and him was quite large.
"Too late, your friend shouldn't have left you unprotected," said Rafe, who was already behind the wizard.
The wizard tried to turn around as he attacked, but Rafe's punch had already hit him in the stomach. The staff in the wizard's hand was instantly tossed aside as his body bent in pain, and Rafe swung his hand back to strike the wizard's neck until he collapsed to the ground.
Dozens of fire arrows quickly shot toward Rafe from the archer's seat, but Rafe deflected all of them as he ran toward the archer. The Guardian immediately jumped in front of Rafe while swinging his shield at Rafe's head, a loud crash was heard as Rafe held the Guardian's shield with his left hand.
"Fire shield!" the Guardian shouted, trying to use his magic to burn Rafe's hand as it touched his shield.
But his magic didn't work, and the archer who tried to attack Rafe also failed because he couldn't make an arrow from his mana. Mace's two friends looked surprised, which was enough to give Rafe time to attack them both.
Rafe pulled the guardian's hand with his right hand, then Rafe slammed the guardian's body to the ground until there was a loud crash. Rafe caught the shield and threw it at the archer's face, but the archer was able to deflect the shield with the crossbow in his hand.
But that was only a distraction, as the next attack came directly from Rafe, a hard punch landing on the archer's stomach until he screamed in pain and spit out blood. The healer was the next target, he could do nothing as Rafe lunged at him. A hard blow struck his neck and he collapsed unconscious.
"Not only is your magic still raw, but your physique is too weak," Rafe said.
"If it was Lyn, she'd be able to block my blows even with the fastest movements," Rafe muttered as he looked at the healer who had collapsed nearby.
"Damn it!" shouted the lancer and swordmaster, who were already near Rafe, swinging their weapons.
"It's wrong to attack while yelling, especially to an assassin," Rafe muttered as he stood without moving an inch.
A bolt of lightning flashed from both of Rafe's hands toward the two people attacking him, the lancer and the swordsman unable to dodge. They tried to use their magic to resist Rafe's attack, but their magic was not created due to the effect of Rafe's passive skill. As a result, both of their bodies were instantly pierced by lightning strikes.
"Argh!" the lancer and the swordsman screamed at the same time.
Their weapons fell to the ground, and their bodies collapsed unconscious. Now only the Guardian was left, still conscious and trying to get up, but he could only kneel when Rafe's body was behind him, a lightning knife already pressed against the Guardian's neck.
"If you admit defeat, then I consider it all over," Rafe said in a grave tone.
"We surrender," the guard said stuttering.
Rafe removed the lightning knife from his hand and then struck the Guardian's neck so hard that his body collapsed to the ground, unconscious like the others. Rafe immediately raised his right hand in the air with a smile. All of the students who saw the result of the match were speechless with disbelief; a Rank F student could defeat seven Rank B students with such a huge difference in mana between them.
"Yosh! Rafe Lostfield won!" Hayato shouted as he jumped for joy.
The first year Rank F students who had been silent earlier immediately cheered, even though they thought Rafe would be killed, but they were happy now because they were satisfied to see the arrogant figure of the noble family lose in a humiliating way.
"Rafe Lostfield," Elena murmured with a smile as she saw Rafe raise his hand.
"What really happened?" asked several other students who still couldn't believe the outcome of the battle.
"Is he really rank F?" said another student.
"Unbelievable," muttered Cindy, who was standing next to Miyura.
"I thought that time he was able to avoid Mr. Bara's attack just because he was lucky," Zoa said.
"Rafe Lostfield," Miyura said with a smile.
