Kidnapping

"....Lena was kidnapped...?"

Selianna made a disbelief face. Just now Kaori received a message from Haruto who went out from the house. And the content was something she never expected of.

Even the other girls were stunned from the sudden turned of events.

About thirty minutes earlier....

"Mis...sing? What are you talking about...?"

Haruto thought he was hearing wrongly when the knights just said Lena was missing for almost three days.

"....Actu-"

"Hey who the fuck are you bastard!?"

The knight wanted to explain but the goons below already regained their senses amd shouted furiously at the boy who just suddenly appeared and saved their enemies.

"Tch...so annoying. I guess we need to shut them up first huh." Haruto clicked his tongue and glared angrily downwards.

"Please be careful, there's no telling what other things they had in their arsenal." One of the knight warned Haruto. He still remembered when the group suddenly taking out fire bombs so he suspected them to still have something else.

"Hmph petty tricks, then I'll just do this."

Haruto snorted and and moved the knight on his right arm hanging on his left shoulder with the other knight carried by his left arm.

After that he charged an energy blast and shot it upwards, making a trail of yellow light up above the ruffians group.

The yellow light stop midair, forming a sphere of energy and Haruto flicked his arm downwards. In an instant the yellow energy sphere split into many smaller ki blasts bombing the ground below.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM *BOOM* *BOOM*

A series of explosions from the ki blast echoed below them. The goons there were screaming in agony from receiving the damages that destroyed their bodies into pieces.

Haruto didn't give mercy because just by sensing how dark their energies were he already knew those people were just a bunch of scum did not worth living. They must had committed countless crimes in their lives.

The smoke and dust cleared revealing the ravelled ground and structures from Haruto's attack. The group before could not be seen anymore, not even their trace of blood.

But one of them with mohawk hairstyle who's staying furthest behind is still alive, crouching with his pants wet from peeing, already unconscious out of fear.

"I spared one of them, just in case...." Killing those kinds of people made him feel disgusted as if he was being dirtied so Haruto frowned.

"Y-Yes thank you very much."

Haruto landed on the ground and put down the knights there.

"So? What is going on?" He demanded the continuation of explanation.

"...It's about two days ago."

The knights sighed and one of them began to retell their story of what happened.

Both of them along with Lena were brought along by Selianna as her companions during the time she went to the capital.

They also explained of what happened to Jake the boyfriend of Lena and why he didn't come instead. Haruto already expected the situation when he heard of what happened from Selianna so he was not surprised Jake was fired.

The plan was for them to stay here for about two weeks before going back to Latia alone as Selianna was promoted to Grand Knight and would work at the imperial capital from now on.

So both of the knights spent more than a week together as a vacation around the capital. Occasionally they would invite their other co-worker Lena to hang out together or just meet up and talked for awhile.

Two days ago they planned to visit Lena again to see how she's doing so they made their way on her inn.

But she's not there so they thought she was currently going out somewhere else and decided to come back tomorrow.

The next day they checked out her place again and yet the innkeeper there said she's not coming back since yesterday early in the morning and because of that her lodging period had already expired. The knights assumed she was just changing place to stay at but if that's the case then there's something wrong about it.

The problem was that she did not even pick up her belongings so the inn for now decided to keep them until she went back to retrieve her items.

Both the male knights started to feel off. They knew how cheap Lena was as a person and there's no way she would carelessly left her belongings like that, that's impossible, not even if she died.

So there must be something wrong, yup definitely.

Haruto could not help but retort just where did their confidence came from? Was Lena really such a person?

Well even so both of the knights began searching for Lena since they honestly thought she was in trouble without much definite reason.

They went to the places she often visited and asked if she came by since yesterday but apparently no so they just ask if they knew something so one of them said they saw Lena was going to the pharmacy yesterday morning.

The knights were puzzled as why Lena was visiting a pharmacy. To find out, they went to the mentioned pharmacy and asked the shopkeeper themselves.

The pharmacy shopkeeper was hesitating whether to tell their customer privacy or not but when they said they were knights and that the customer was currently missing they decided to tell both of the men.

Apparently, Lena was buying a set of pregnancy test before leaving right away.

The duo knights were obviously extremely shocked hearing that Lena was probably pregnant with someone's child. But their shock could not rival the boy who listened to their story whom face turned completely white and not responding.

The male knights did not think it was Jake's child because they were not in contact ever since the dungeon incident and Lena herself said they never met even once during that time.

So the possibility was someone raped her and they became very concerned and furious at the same time, they decided to find their beautiful co-worker to try cheer her up and asked the people around if they ever seen her.

Haruto who was unresponsive began listening to their story again, although his mind was obviously in chaos but he wanted to know where'd she go with a strong impulse to go see her right now.

The male knights received info that Lena was seen going to the the Outer District so they made their way there. But they couldn't find her despite searching for an entire day.

And thus they decided to call it a day while also hoping she would return tomorrow. There's also an impulse to report on their superior Selianna but until they got a lead they still wanted to search by themselves, there's still a chance Lena was alright after all. Though the main reason was because they're kind of afraid to talk to their scary superior.

The next day, today that is, they finally learned that Lena was going to the northern part of the Outer District, the so called infamous place.

One of the citizens there said recently a few people went missing after going there. Since the number was not that many, the knights were not alerted but it seemed Lena was indeed went there after receiving such information, to investigate on her own.

That series of events brought the two male knights to the group residing on the now wrecked log cottage. They were the one kidnapping the people all this time.

"That's why we interrogated the people here. They told us of what happened when they learned we are knights." One of the male knight said.

Looks like someone was hiring them to kidnap a few people for him. When the knights asked their client's identity and purpose, they said they didn't know anything except that it was a man wearing a strange mask and dark robe.

The duo knights did not believe them and thought they were covering something and so began the fighting until Haruto came here.

"So you're saying Lena was also captured by them? Impossible."

Haruto did not believe someone as strong as Lena could be defeated by those poops, she was even a lot stronger than the two knights in front him.

"....It's exactly as you said she was NOT captured by them. Rather it was the masked man who was their client who defeated her and captured her when he was retrieving the victims here." The knight nodded weakly and explained.

"What? That means..." Haruto was having a bad feeling.

The other knight turned gloomy and sighed deeply.

"She's already brought to somewhere unknown along with the other victims since two days ago...."
