WAR.

In a brilliant flash of light six teenagers steeped onto a moderately sized island, that is if you consider 71,200 square miles moderate. Truth be told it within their best interest for the imminent threat they had to face not to have yet exceeded the confines of the private owned island on which their school was located.

Sam: We need to hurry. Dani, forcefield. And remember, we have no idea what to expect so be on high alert. This whole place could be a trap by that demon, the faster we save Allison the faster our lives can go back to normal."

Daniel envelopes them in a bubble like force shield and Sam uses his telekinetic abilities to levitate and move the force field forward.

Call it love, solicitude or even paranoia but Sam reeked of anxiety and palpable dread and his expression showed no humor, only fear . Fear of losing his love. In all his life this was the first time he had felt something as spectacular as what he felt with Allison. She was the first and only girl he had ever kissed and the first girl he had said I love you to. And when their lips touched there was not a shred of doubt or fleeting thought that questioned her love or loyalty and now he might have to kill her. "No I can't think like that."

Time, with it's unfeeling, mechanical heart ticked on, feeling sometimes as though it moved slower than a snail's revenge and sometimes as fast as the countdown to death in one's final moments.

They flew over dense networks of trees and rock formations as well as a few rivers before they arrived a couple hundred metres away from the giant school wall. Before they could go any further they were shot down by black arrows that knocked them down from high in the sky. Daniel's shield held up but the barrage continued forcing them to retreat a large distance from the school wall and take cover in the trees.When they were finally away from the range of the exploding arrows they took a breather to re think their plan.

Sebastian: what the heck was that?"

Neo: I didn't get a chance to see what or who shot the arrow but at least we know what to expect and so we can plan for it."

Casimir: I'll try something. I think I can get a clear view of the place without catching any attention." He closes his eyes for a few seconds and a small swarm of bees approaches them. With eyes still closed he orders the bees to scout ahead, with his abilities he could be able to see through the eyes of the creatures and gather all the information they needed. Five minutes later Casimir opens his eyes.

Sam: what did you see?"

Casimir: it's going to be difficult getting into the school, the walls are well defended by some kind of archers. But that's only half the problem, past the gates there is a sizable force of people dressed as some kind of knights but I couldn't see Allison anywhere."

Daniel: so what do we do, we can't just give up right?"

Jake: that's exactly what we are gonna do."

Sebastian: come again? You do realize we are trying to not get caught , right?"

Jake:Hear me out. if we surrender, then they'll have to take us to their leader for judgement to be cast, and my guess is that's Allison. Since she is the one in charge I'm sure she'll want to handle a revolution herself."

Neo: this could work...but they could also shoot us down on sight. That's too risky, we need a better plan or we might die before we get a chance to fix anything."

Casimir: wait. Jake's right. I think I know why she might have been entangled and how to ...."

Sam grabs him by the collar, almost raising him from the floor.

Sam: how the heck do you know that?! Did you have something to do with why she would let a demon take over her? Answer me!!"

Casimir: Calm down! calm down! I only meant I have a speculation about why she got entangled. The entanglement followed your declaration of love and the fact that she's your soulmate. Perhaps she thought of herself as someone unworthy of love and so to have someone say all these things must have triggered a self sabotaging voice which the demon probably took advantage of."

Sam let's him go and apologizes.

Sam: I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me, I would never do that to you on purpose. It's just that..."

Casimir: don't think about it. I get that you're agitated because someone you love dearly is in peril but I know how to stop the entanglement."

Sam: HOW?"

Casimir: with love. I believe that what you have with Allison is stronger than whatever negativity she's feeling, so when they take us to her it'll be up to you to save her and us."

Neo: I see. So true love saves the day, wow, a fairytale ending, cool.

They chatted for a while but Neo became alert all of a sudden.

Daniel: what is it? Is something wrong?"

Neo: I hear something coming."

Sam: what's coming, is it the archers or the knights?"

Neo: I don't know, just be alert and be prepared."

The atmosphere became stiff as everyone prepared for the worst but after a few seconds of nothing happening they relaxed a little and that's when it came. It had the outline of a normal human but it was as if it was entirely made of tar or some black goo with two red dots on its face, probably it's eyes. It's movements were sluggish and unfocused so they were not too panicked. Jake tried attacking it but his leg just passed through the creature. In that moment of realization they were no longer as relaxed as before.He delivered another round of kicks and punches but they all passed harmlessly through the creature. The creature retaliated but Daniel shielded Jake with his forcefield and made another one to hold the creature.

Daniel: Good thing there's only one of these things here, eh?"

Sebastian: Don't jinx....it."

Neo: I hear something. There's more of them and they're getting closer."

There was a much louder rustling as more of those creatures poured out of the woods.

Sebastian: you just had to jinx it, didn't you?"

Sam and Neo took charge, with Sam flinging and smashing them against the trees and Neo blasting them with his sonic scream but the fight had barely began. For the first few minutes they had everything under control but more of the creatures just kept pouring in, pushing them back. Daniel created a dome around them to buy them some thinking time.

Sam: We're wasting time, we need to get to Allison and end this once and for all.

Sebastian: sure, let's just take a nice stroll past these killer zombies."

Jake: We've got bigger fish to fry so spare the sarcasm. Ok?"

Daniel: hurry up already! Their freakishly strong, this dome won't hold up much longer." Then blood starts running down his nose.

Sebastian: okay,okay,okay. I don't know if this will work and I'm afraid I might get overpowered but..."

Daniel: Get on with it!"

Sebastian: guard my body well. Gosh I hope I'm right and they are all human. I'll try to possess one but if it doesn't work you have to finish this without me."

His body drops to the ground as a victorian pewterish myst like being in the shape of a man flies out. Dany makes a smaller dome within their dome to let the soul of their friend out. Once his soul was out of the barrier sebastian dove straight into the first tar creature he saw. Mobilizing the creature's immense strength as well as his strength,speed and battle experience he made quick work of the creatures surrounding them, giving Daniel some breathing room. The dome was dispelled, Sam, Neo, and Daniel joined sebastian and overturned the situation in their favor at least for the moment.

Casimir: OH, NO! we need to leave."

Sam: what's the matter?"

Casimir: there are tons of these things coming, if we don't leave now we might not get a chance to."

Daniel put them all in a forcefield as Sam took them up and away from the place.

So naive of them to think it would be that easy. A few hundred metres into their escape a huge shadow was cast on them, Sam turned them around to see what cast the shadow.

Neo: oh shit!"

There it was a tar creature about 100 meters tall.They were visibly shocked, too much to react in time as a massive hand smote them hard, smashing them against the unforgiving ground. Everything went black as the consciousness of the six bled out.

Five knights stood infront of five teenagers whose unconscious bodies were being held up by other knights. Without remorse they punched unconscious kids bringing them back to their senses, as well as their brutally battered bodies.

Allison: You're not all dead? Well, consider yourselves lucky. I'm actually glad that you survived because now your pathetic little lives can finally be worth something by becoming my esteemed generals."

Daniel: where's Sam?! What have you done to him?!"

Allison eyes glow briefly to signal a knight, who delivers a deadly punch to Daniel's abdomen, thrashing his already tortured body. A gush of blood pours from his mouth as he collapses onto the ground, nearly dead.

Sebastian: oh my god, Daniel! You're gonna pay for that! I swear I'll..."

Jake: Allison, please. This isn't you and you know it. Please, don't hurt anyone else."

Casimir: I've had enough of you! If you want to hurt someone then hurt me because I can still destroy you with a single sentence. How's that for pathetic."

Allison: if you do that then I'll have to make you watch as I kill all your friends. Your choice."

Allison squats beside Daniel's body.

Allison: Consider this mercy. If you disrespect me again I will not be so kind as to leave your dead body. That goes for the rest of you as well."

She snaps her finger and twelve knights escort Sam, who was looking much better than the rest out of the massive school church to their location.

Sam: oh my goodness, what did you do to them?!"

The knights behind him stop him from getting any closer to his friends.

Sam: I'm so sorry guys."

Sebastian fights through the pain and with a grimace he answers.

Sebastian: please. What's a man without a few scars."

Neo: we'll be okay, as long as we finish this mission."

Jake: as long as we're together and not down for the count we can do anything."

Allison: that's adorable but I have better things to do."

Her eyes start glowing as she moves towards the five with the intent to turn them into her minions.

Sam: Allison, wait! Please."

A knight holds him back for a few seconds but let's him approach after Allison orders it, though without words.

He rushes over and holds both of Allison's hands.

Sam: please Allison don't hurt them, I beg of you. Please, I mean what I said at the field; you are my soulmate. When I was a kid I worshiped my father, he was a great actor and he taught me how to act. He taught me how to be a completely different person, how to let go of who I was and become what the script demanded of me. My mother is a world renowned actress who taught me how to stand infront of a camera and smile, to be picture perfect without a single little flaw. I don't think badly of them for sharing with me what they love but for a long while in my life I only knew how to be what everyone else wanted. And little by little who I truly was was melting away into a portrait of what everyone else thought, what they saw and who they expected me to be.

But then I met you, and god was I smitten. For the first time in my life the real me shone through and that is when I knew you were the one, but now you have to choose. You have to choose between that demon and me, I have gone through hell and fought all these things to get you back so now it's your turn. Will you be mine forever?"

Silence followed Sam's declaration as Allison stood frozen on the spot. Her eyes darted left and right in their sockets, she stayed like this for a few minutes till she saw tears rolling down Sam's checks.

Sam: I knew it. You don't love me."

Allison: shhhh. Don't cry, you know I love you. I love you with all my heart, if you want me to give up this demon then I'll do it. For you."

She hugs him tightly, then pulls away for a kiss but at the very last second Sam pulled away.

Sam: I want the old Allison back . She's the one I fell in love with, not this."

She doesn't reply but moves her hand from Sam's chest to his neck. Then, she caressed him for a while but suddenly started squeezing his neck. Her grip tightened and she raised him from the ground. Sam's face turned purple as he struggled to break free.

Sam: you're hurting.... me."

Allison remained silent, continuing till Sam couldn't take it anymore and turned back into Jake.

Demon: I told you he was an imposter."

Allison: that was a cute trick but it's not enough to fool me."

She stares into his eyes for a few seconds and throws him away, then makes his way toward the rest. One by one she turned them all, all except for Casimir. Though she had turned them, they still looked like themselves albiet her slaves.

Allison: you thought you could ruin my fairytale life but I got the better of you. No witch wins in a fairytale. You can feel free to stick around, in a matter of moments Sam and I will be wed by the Bishop. Once the Bishop pronounces us husband and wife, we will be bound for all eternity and there is nothing you can do to stop it."

Casimir fell to his knees, his mind spinning for a way forward. His powers were nothing spectacular and the only people who could help him were all turned into Allison's pets.

Casimir: What do I do? What do i do? I'm all alone."
