Survival of the fittest

Zhang Tie was shocked to find that his Wang Tian was actually the leader of one of the rising powers in Huang city. He thought that he could accomplish his goal if he took help from them, but he immediately discarded that idea from his mind. All the achievements he had in his cultivation so far were due to Wang Tian, if he keeps depending on Tian, he might be able to face himself in the future. Zhang Tie sighed in his heart and spoke to Number 2.

"Thanks for your help elder! But please keep today's happenings a secret from brother Tian", he clasped his hands and bowed to Number 2.

Number 2 understood that this isn't something he can interfere with, he respected Zhang Tie's wish and nodded. But internally he noted down today's events and wanted to investigate further on his own. Both of them parted ways after exiting the city. After a while, Number 2 entered the city again, but in disguise, and entered a hidden valley. He went into an underground base, traversing through various hidden rooms and no one blocked his path, instead, they bowed and stood guard.

"Welcome Master!", a man covered in a black hood bowed to Number 2 and greeted him. Number 2 simply nodded and sat on the main chair.

"I need information on this man, find out what's the relationship between him and City Lord manor"

After a devastating defeat in his confrontation with Tian, Cheng Lu started dashing towards his base with his injured body. Once he reached the base, he immediately went into his tent and took out some healing pills to recover. His wounds started healing at a visible pace, but his eyes remained red with anger in them.

"How can that bast*rd reach Earth realm so fast! My clan drained its resources and connections to find heavenly treasures to allow him to break through into the Earth realm. But that fuck*r has reached Earth realm as well! and so powerful at that!"

Cheng Lu was fuming with anger and malice, darkness filled his mind and the only thing on his mind was to get rid of Tian by any means during the Test. While he was in a rage, a Silhouette entered his view. It was the girl who was with him in the forest, he was further enraged after remembering how she ran away without caring for him.

The girl was visibly shocked finding that Cheng Lu has already returned to the base, she was thinking of a way to soothe Cheng Lu, as she knew that she won't be forgiven for escaping without him.

"Young Master Cheng, I was about to call for help at the base to help you fight that brat. I- I was just about to return to you...", she cautiously took steps towards him, trying to persuade him that she escaped for getting more help. But before she could talk any further, Cheng Lu grabbed her throat and choked her with one hand. She tried to get out of his grasp but it was in vain and she gave her last breath.

It was visibly darker outside and everyone in the base was out to catch wild beasts for food. He took her body and ran towards the designated area for the hunt.

"Sir Liu, Please help me!!", Cheng Lu cried out loud alerting everyone and the beasts as well. The beasts took that chance to escape, while the group members were shocked and angered for their escaped prey. Just when the beast was about to leave their sight, a young man sleeping on one of the trees flew out and slashed a strike in mid-air. A powerful qi blade shot towards the escaping beast and split in two.

"You better have a reason for interfering during the hunt!", he was irritated by the fact his resting time got disturbed. He then noticed the girl in Cheng Lu's arms.

"What happened?!"

"Sir Liu, we were out to hunt some wild beasts for the base, but then we encountered someone. He was an Earth Realm student taking the test. We thought of ignoring him and continuing our hunt, but he suddenly attacked and injured me. He asked us to serve under him. But we explained that we were under you, Sir Liu. He then caught this girl by her throat threatening to kill if we don't serve him. Ultimately he killed her and I somehow managed to escape with her body"

Cheng Lu intelligently brewed a perfect story to make Wang Tian the perpetrator of her death and make the Sky realm expert his enemy. He cried fake tears making it seem more realistic.

Cheng Lu's plan worked out, as Liu Nan was thoroughly enraged finding that someone has killed his underling even after knowing his powers.

"Where is the killer now?! Tell me!!"

"Sir, he's near a cave 500 meters north-west direction", Cheng Lu pointed out towards Tian's cave and grabbed his injured hand. Seeing that Liu Nan threw a bottle of healing liquid towards him. Cheng Lu took the healing liquid and rose to his feet.

"Sir Liu, I'll guide you to his cave", Cheng Lu dashed out towards Tian's cave, with Liu Nan following behind him with his other underlings.

Unaware of all this, Tian was roasting a demon beast to have his fill and rest for the day.

It was getting dark and the second day of the test is about to come to an end. Tian suddenly noticed a powerful aura coming from the forest, and before he could react properly, a powerful attack came at him.

Bang!!!

The entire area was devastated, although Tian was able to block the attack, it was still far too strong and he got injured.

"So you're still alive after taking my attack, no wonder you're so arrogant", Liu Nan said as he landed on a tree branch.

Tian was about to ask why he attacked him, but then he noticed Cheng Lu and understood what's happening. The opponent was a Sky Realm intermediate expert, someone he can't fight against yet. It's best to escape instead of confronting him.

He immediately ran out of the cave and headed towards the center of the forest. Liu Nan smirked and started chasing after him.

"Hahaha.....running after finding you can't face me? You have no path of escape, you'll die in hands today!"

Liu Nan released a streak of qi blades towards Tian. Tian raised his spiritual shield, which got bombarded with qi blades and eventually broke.

Tian crossed his hands and tried to block the rest of the attack, eventually he got shot to the ground like a meteor. Tian was now enraged, although the opponent is someone he can't defeat or escape from, he'll make sure to take him down with him.

Liu Nan landed in front of Tian, watching him rise to his feet.

"It's far too late to regret now, you're lucky to get a quick death", Liu Nan gathered qi in his hand, which started to take shape of a sword.

"Hahaha.....people in power do never change, acting arrogant and mighty. Let's see if you can escape death today"

Liu Nan thought that Tian was bluffing, how can a mere Earth realm expert even touch him. But then he got terrified after noticing...

Shortie 017 - First mission

The Beast division of the Rising Chaos Sect didn't have much to do other than guarding the areas and protecting the sect.

Piggy, little white were sitting inside Number 2's room inside the sect. It was actually a meeting to discuss a mission, which Number 2 wanted to assign to Piggy.

Piggy was actually waiting for this, as after the formation of the beast division, it was discussed that even beasts can gain sect points with their contribution, which they can use for getting resources like herbs, spiritual plants, and alchemy pills. Piggy already had a taste of this, as he used all his sect points from defending the sect against merchant alliance to get alchemy pills of all sorts.

"Although we have the beast division, we don't have any ariel beasts among them, and you're the only one capable of flight...", Number 2 continued as he took out a token.

"This is the first mission of the beast division, to subjugate all ariel beasts in the vicinity of the sect!"
