Chapter 23

It has been three days since I first met Grandeeney, and it has been a pleasant day for me. My work gets even harder because Instructor Kaneyoshi decides to increase my workload when he knows that I can use Senjutsu.

He even put me alongside the upper year to have a daily spar. My body gets beaten up and healed by my Senjutsu and my Sky Dragon Slayer Magic. If not for those two things, I need a month to recover and heal my body.

I also continue to teach Yuki and Karin about Senjutsu. They grow rapidly and can now meditate without my supervision. While they have not yet achieved Sage Mode, I feel they will achieve it sooner or later.

Besides Yuki and Karin, I teach older people like the Chancellor, Shion, and Yasaka. It looks like the Turtle Youkai knows that I have been teaching Yasaka about Senjutsu from an unknown source. Because of this, the three of them are already daily guests at my house.

Yuki and Karin will come after we leave the campus, and the rest will come later that evening. Today is Saturday and a rest day. I did not need to go to the campus and only needed to rest. The Chancellor and the other professor are kind enough to make my schedule always have Saturday. I did not have a club and did not need to leave home on Saturday.

Today is my free day, including tomorrow.

I shake my head and look at the clock. It is only nine in the morning. I still have time to do something. Should I play some games? Nah. Because of Sky Dragon Slayer Magic, I like walking into a place where the air is clean.

I think I will go to the Youkai Village just outside Kyoto City. It is a hidden village with nature still ruling over and clean air. It will take a couple of hours to reach that village by bicycle, or I can take a taxi.

Nah. Let's use bicycles.

"What?! Who is it?! Who is the one daring to kidnap my daughter?!"

The dog youkai in front of Yasaka trembles in fear as the stronger Fox Youkai releases a massive amount of chakra in Japan.

"T-The surviving Karasu-Tengu says that they are the worshippers of Yamata no Orochi."

"Damn those cults! Where are they?!"

The dog Youkai gets even more afraid, but he manages to say.

"T-Their base is located in the forest east of the White Cloud Village."

With the name of the location known, Yasaka quickly barks an order to the others to follow her. With thirty Karasu Tengu on her side, she quickly teleported away. She did not see the smirk the Dog Youkai had on his face.

Sadly for him, one of them noticed it.

Haruka, the left-hand of Yasaka, appears next to him and puts her tanto on his neck.

"You are not a villager."

Instead of looking afraid, the Dog Youkai smirks and says.

"It is too late. That fool of a woman got into our trap! Now Lord Orichi will awaken from his slumber, and that whore will be the perfect sacrifice for his awakening!"

Seeing the man would not talk, she quickly slit his throat and let him bleed to death. She quickly called her squad and teleported to White Cloud Village. However, to her surprise, she cannot do that.

"Tch. A barrier, huh?"

She quickly changes the coordinate of her teleportation point and appears a kilometer away from the barrier. Haruka and her squad move from tree to tree at very high speed and arrive in front of the barrier after a few minutes.

"Dammit! Barrier Breaching Squad! Quickly!"

'Yes, ma'am!"

Seven people start to create a magic circle to try breaking the barrier in front of them. Haruka can only bite her finger in anxiety as her squad takes care of the barrier. She hopes that her lady survives.

Yasaka releases a massive fireball and throws it at the group of people in front of her.

"Give her back to me!"

The man who wears a mask only laughs and says.

"You need to be better than that, Yasaka! Is this the power of the strongest Kitsune in Japan?! Pathetic!"

Yasaka grits her teeth as she looks at him with a hateful gaze. She can hear her daughter screaming as those people do something to her daughter. The man in front of him gives her a mocking laugh and says.

"Are you done? Don't you want to rescue your daughter? Oi! Increase it"

"ARGH!"

Kunou's scream gets louder as the people around her do something to make her scream even louder. Yasaka screams, and her body starts to grow. Her humanoid form changes into a twenty-meter-tall nine-tailed fox with fire around its tail, ready to burn anything.

Instead of getting worried, the man laughs happily.

"Hahahahaha! Thank you! Thank you! It is getting too easy!"

He throws an orb to the sky and claps his hand. A massive magic circle appears on the ground a second later, and a golden chain around Yasaka's true form appears.

"Hahahaha! Easily fooled by something called affection! I'm glad I discarded that weakness a long time ago! Now, feed him! Feed Lord Orochi with your spiritual energy!"

As the man continued to laugh, he did not notice a figure move behind him. The figure appears next to the orb and kicks it with all his might.

"Sky Dragon Dive!"

The figure destroys the orb. After the orb is destroyed, the entire magic circle is destroyed, and Yasaka is free from the chain that sucks her spiritual energy away. The cult leader looks at the figure and roars.

"Who dares to delay the resurrection of Lord Orochi!"

The figure lands on the ground, and Yasaka can see who is the one helping her. It was Ryan, and on his hand was the unconscious Kunou.

"Man, predators these days are willing to kidnap their target even if the sun is still up, huh?"
