What Is He Doing

LILLY POV

I watch as his lips tell me that he is doing okay and that he only has food poisoning but my heart does not believe a word he says. He looks exactly the same as he used to when he was sick. I can not help feel completely concerned about this man standing next to me.

The worst part for me is that I leave him for a few days and he comes back looking like this. I never want to leave him again and he is never going away without me again. I look deep into his eyes and tried to sound as confident as possible.

"Are you sure? You really do look terrible"

I hear him laugh at my words and then he gives me a weak smile while he says.

"Thank you for that nice compliment. Those are exactly the words that you want to hear when you see the love of your life again after so many days"

I slap him against his chest and then give him another tight hug.

"You better not scare me again"
