Lucifer stared at Apollo strangely.

"...You are going to kill me?"

In response, Apollo nodded.

"Yes."

The atmosphere immediately got awkward, with everyone looking between the two of them. Layla tilted her head to the side.

"Mm... you want to play?"

Apollo shook his head.

"It's different."

Lucifer chuckled.

"I can't exactly be sure why you suddenly want to kill me, but let me just say that it is a pointless objective. In truth, I have already been searching for a way to die."

He turned away, and continued walking.

"But it has been fruitless. I have come to accept that this is my fate, as haunting as it is."

Apollo sucked in a breath.

"Why?"

Lucifer paused.

"You will have to be a little more specific."

Lightning began to gather around Apollo's body, crackling violently.

"Why did you choose to accept your fate?"

Lucifer sighed.
