Warning bombardment inbound

I stood still, shaken to my core. When the words spilt from Tarvitz's voice, I started to piece together the information I had found in our systems and the reason why they didn't deploy our strongest brothers and armaments to bear. The intense air that was surrounding us before has all but vanished what was left is my simmering rage! Noticing my change in demeanour my escort or executioners ready themselves to put me down right then and there, the Reaver behind me started to raise his bolt pistol towards my head for a quick kill.

"Like hell will I go down that easy.'' Pushing myself backwards into the Reaver, I used my combat knife to slip past his armour to kill him quickly before the other could have the chance to do the same. I ended up getting into a wrestling match with the Reaver, his squadmate getting fed up with what was happening raised his bolt pistol to shoot me. I noticed what he was about to do, so to counter his move I managed to reposition myself with his traitor's brother, the result was he shot his brother three times in the chest and I threw my knife right into his eye, though I was lucky to have defeated them and come out somewhat unscathed from this fight. It was hard to kill them not because they were the best at what we did but because they were my brothers, sadly there's no time to dwell. I need to get off this ship, the hanger!

If I get back to the hanger I could commandeer one of our storm birds and fly to the surface, to warn Loken and anyone else on the ground. I started to run back towards the hanger then suddenly heard gunshots down the corridor I turned the corner to see a Skitarii ranger fly out of the room into the adjacent wall, readying myself to go around the corner bolt pistol and sword in hand first things I saw was the tech marine holding his ground against two former brothers holding combat knives, the last ranger lost his left arm now holding his sword with fury ready to kill, standing behind him was the tech priest holding his datapad.

I charged into the room with fury and rage. I killed one of these traitors with a sword straight through the chest, the other turned to me only to be met with the barrel of my bolt pistol, and one by one they fell. I looked towards the tired tech marine and wounded ranger tending to his wound and the tech priest still holding the datapad, I was very curious to know what was on that datapad to be worth their lives.

The tech marine walked to me with pain in his voice "What is happening? First, they took us to the wrong area of the ship, then tried to kill us. What is happening Lieutenant?" I didn't even know myself, The Emperor only knows how I wish this not to be real. "I only know that we have been betrayed by our kin." My words rang out with silence to have for company, I let my words sink in then I asked "Where were you supposed to go?" The tech priest responded to my question with his binary voice "We were supposed to go to the hangar and then board a Thunderhawk but as you can see we were held up." The tech priest said with a cold tone, as he stepped around the dead space marines. "Right, let us continue to the hangar and grab whatever ammunition and equipment we can on the way."

Let's hope we are not too late to contact those on the ground. We ran to the hangar meeting no resistance on the way, feeling uneasy about this entire situation and having to make sure whoever we met would not turn around and then shoot us on sight, it was hard to know who was loyal or a traitor. Having my troubling thoughts to keep me company as we arrived at the hanger, seeing the servitors repairing and moving cargo around, I thought of a brilliant idea.

"Brother could you order some of the servitors to bring communications equipment to the Thunderhawk and ammunition, especially explosives " I said with a wide grin under my helmet " I think I can manage that, what would you be doing?" He said with a calm tone "No need to worry I will escort the tech priest and the ranger to the Thunderhawk, when you come back with our supplies you will prepare the Thunderhawk for take-off while I distribute the grenades around the interceptors." the sound of my voice showing my inner joy to repay those who tried to kill us.

As the plan was set in motion the Tech-marine went off to do his part of the plan and did mine, we made it to the Thunderhawk preparing ourselves for take off, and the servitors brought the equipment I asked for. "Tech priest, could you set up this communications equipment so that it could send a signal down to the surface for when we get close enough?" I said with a serious tone, he replied "I will do what I can, with the Omnissiah's blessing that is." That will have to do for now". Hearing footsteps approaching the Thunderhawk, I turned ready to kill anyone who dared try and with a sigh of relief the tech marine brought the explosives, "I am glad that I am not your enemy lieutenant and have acquired what you had asked for. " I lowered my bolt pistol and walked towards him then asked "What is your name brother?" he lowered the crate of explosive ordinances "My name is Vibris and I know who you are Lieutenant, but I thank you for asking " he raised his hand, I looked at him dead in the eye "It is an honour to fight by your side brother Vibris, let us fight the evil here that plagues us."

I shook his hand and then picked up the grenades to plant on the interceptors near us for a quick getaway and distraction. We want to be the last thing on their minds when we are trying to slip away, as I place the last grenade on the interceptors, out of the corner of my eye I notice several black armoured space marines heading in our direction from either side of the hanger but that didn't matter we are leaving anyway, I started to walk away towards the Thunderhawk and it's now or never, so with a detonator in hand and my thumb over the trigger nothing more satisfying the pushing the big red button.

Behind me, I felt a heat wave like a burning sun hit me, I started to run towards our ship and made it there somewhat safely in all the chaos, "Let's get going, we don't have much time" as I made my way towards the pilot seat I heard the sound of bolt rounds hitting the side of our heavily armoured transport, might as well hit it with pillows but none the less, "let's fly" the roaring engines came to life and we took off towards the surface.

Pushing the limits of our transport ship, hoping to get away from the Vengeful Spirit so we have a chance to make it towards the surface, on the scanner I picked up four ships one heading towards the planet and three following after it, the only person I could think of who would be joining as in this game of try and hit the Thunderhawk was Tarvitz, I started to make my way towards him but I saw three explosions and thinking that I had lost a friend I started to make my way towards the planet, then noticed that the Thunderhawk was fine but its pursuers have turned into thick clouds of smoke, with a sigh of relief I called out "We are almost there prepare the communication device" brother Vibris respond "Ready and set what do you want me to say?" "Hook it up to my vox"

I waited for him to give me the green light then heard "Ready" on the surface amongst the fighting where space marines from the World Eaters, Death Guard and Sons of Horus, fought for their Primarchs not knowing of their betrayal then inside their helmets they heard a voice over the vox "To all ground forces this is Lieutenant Titerus of the 10th company seek cover bombardment inbound… "
