The Last Tears

Emerald Castle... Jemmy sat lonely with his laptop hosting an online meeting with his staff. When he heard a slight movement, he looked at the bed attentively. "Send someone to protect Marina. She's my sister." Naysa said while still asleep. Jemmy didn't understand whether she was dreaming or meant what she said. When he tried to wake her up, she was still sleeping. But anyway, Wade was send off to Polar hotel. Evening, Naysa opened her eyes and stared into the black shiny eyes. Jemmy was too happy when she woke up. Though the doctor just said she was ok, Jemmy could still not believe his words. "How do you feel?" Jemmy asked. Naysa wanted to sit up but the strong hands held her back. "You'll hurt yourself." "Am fine I can sit ok?" She said but Jemmy didn't let her go. "Naysa there is one thing we have to talk about. The way you do take rush decisions is alarming and that's endangering your life. At least, wherever you go, take the guards with you. For the sake of your protection." Jemmy said. Naysa, with Jemmy's support sat up and looked at him. "I just don't know what came over me. Am sorry." She said, lowering her head like an obedient child to the parents. It was too cute that Jemmy stared at her admiringly. Even at her weakest point, she's still never lost her beauty. "I'll make you something to eat." He said as he stood up and headed to the kitchen. "Hey, some wonders here today!" Adrian started. "He's going to personally cook for her." Another guard said. "Wait, does he even know how to cook?" Stenson couldn't help laughing. In a matter of five minutes, the kitchen looked like a tornado zone. Broken pieces of glasses and plates were all over. Flour was all over the place plus in his face. His whole clothes were covered in flour and other kitchen ingredients. When he came out, Naysa who sat in the living room burst out laughing. Stenson couldn't help it as he took pictures. The other guards went out the couldn't suppress their laughter any longer. "Ooh my God! What were you doing?" Naysa held a mirror close to his face but Jemmy closed his eyes. "Do I look terrible?" He asked in a cute deep voice. "No... Not really. Who said my husband can look terrible? You look cute and funny. You've won a suit to the kitchen? I can't help it." Naysa laughed again. Looking at his suit, Jemmy couldn't help frowning. "What did you prepare for me?" She asked. "I made instant noodles." He said. "And how did you have your whole body covered in flour?" She asked. Jemmy kept quiet. "Can I go to the kitchen and have a look?" "No... Don't go there!" Jemmy stepped forward to stop her. "Can we go together then?" Naysa asked. "If you insist." He replied while leading the way. Naysa followed. The whole kitchen was a mess. The trash can was full of spoilt dumplings, pan cakes and many other goods he tried to prepare. He looked at Naysa innocently. "Ok you did a good job, but you're a pretty bad cook." She said. Jemmy stared at her as if digesting what she just said. "Ok, don't be mad at me for that kind of a comment. Can I be your teacher then?" "Sure." He replied. "But there is a fee to pay. Are you ready?" She asked. "How much is it teacher?" He asked eargerly that Naysa laughed. "It's not about money. It's something else." She said. "Whatever you want, I'll do it for you." Jemmy said. "Good, now take a guess before I tell you."

CHAPTER FIFTY ONE: GRADUATION

Marina knew no one from the Johnsons would come so she stayed with Naysa as they waited for uncle Tarran. She wasn't sure if Jemmy would show up. When she called, she was told Jemmy travelled in LA late yesterday to see his father. Hank wasn't around, he left earlier that day and no one would connect with him.

Of course she didn't expect to connect with Hank that easily. Who in their right mind would think Hank would stay bored at the castle? Though she had informed Jemmy earlier about the graduation, he had gone ahead and flown out of the country. She felt down.

She also wanted aunty Wen to come, but she took was afraid to leave work. No one was at the castle except the guards and the maids, but no one knew when Jemmy or Hank would come back, especially Hank who disappeared and reappeared at will.

So Naysa had no one to look forward to except for uncle Tarran who didn't fail her but showed up.

Ridden had his parents and some renowned guest to see the mayor's son graduate, Livia had her family and Roderick's family seated together. Everyone of the Caskeys was present except for the one trouble maker James.

The happy faces shown in the bright sun. Marina couldn't help being happy. Though the two of them just had Uncle Tarran, she felt this was enough. She at least had a family to stand with.

Naysa was down after realizing Jemmy wouldn't come. She couldn't just understand why a person she had soo much loved and given her whole body and soul to wasn't here. Who wouldn't feel down.

Just as she was thinking of what to do next, Ridden came to her.

"Remember your promise?" He asked after respectfully greeting uncle Tarran.

"Mmh... Marina, can we go together? Uncle, I'll be back soon."

Uncle Tarran nodded. Marina and Naysa left together with Ridden to his parents side. Lisa, who had her parents with her fumed when she saw Ridden leading Naysa to his parents side, a chance she so much wished for buy never got. She had a long time crush on Ridden and had tried all means to get him, but he never minded her.

"Dad, mom, this is my girlfriend Naysa Haven." Ridden said.

Naysa was caught of guard and coughed severally. Marina was also shocked but she helped Naysa who was still coughing.

"Wow... My daughter in law... You're beautiful." Ridden's mother said.

Naysa smiled awkwardly as she cast cursing glances at Ridden. So this was all his plan?

Marina on the other hand stood lost, waiting for her sister's reaction.

"This is Marina, her sister." Ridden said. After all that's what everyone knew Marina as. Marina gasped.

"What a family of beautiful daughters." One lustful man said, stretching his hand.

"Are you the daughter of the late legend General Henry Haven?" Mr. Griffin, the mayor asked. How could he not know the great general who was shot dead by unknown people?

"Mmh... " Naysa nodded, forcing a polite smile. Till now, she hated Ridden for what he had done. But after all she had no one else except for uncle Tarran.

Excusing herself politely, she asked to leave. Ridden smiled at her.

"Honey, why don't you allow my people to meet your people?" Ridden asked. Naysa's face paled.

My people? Do I have people? Except for uncle Tarran, no one else. Besides, how could I allow a mayor to walk all the way just to meet my uncle? Huh! Is there are reason for such meetings? After all they weren't lovers and she personally didn't understand why Ridden was behaving this way.

"Actually, if it's supposed to be a formal meeting, this isn't the right place." She cooperated. "We can have it all arranged."

"What a brave girl!" The mayor exclaimed. What she said made sense.

Finally, Naysa and Marina got away, leaving the Griffins and the guest talking.

"Ridden you're really the rightful mayor's son. I didn't expect you to have such a beautiful lady."

"Is that her sister single? I can have her meet my son."

"General Henry's daughter is actually a beauty"

The comments went on

Naysa walked aimlessly feeling she was now running crazy. Jemmy didn't show up and Ridden added to her sorrow but introducting her to the mayor as his fiancee. Marina helped leaf the way back to uncle Tarran's place. He was still seated where they left him.

"Why is your face this ugly Naysa? Are you not happy you're finally graduating?" Uncle said.

Everyone was happy except for Naysa who felt this whole event was boring and Marina who felt she can't be happy when her dear sister is sad.
