Clash with Destruction

The god of destruction, a malevolent being who has no form and wherever it passes it leaves destruction in its wake.

The god in the form of a thick fog flew over the soul sea, it was a mesmerising place, the colours of the water was ever changing, the sea stretched across for as far as one could see and yet somehow there existed a shore on either side, which felt unreachable.

The concept of distance, time and lifespan was all vague.

And it was a place that if one entered the chances of them leaving it would be none whatsoever, and that also applied to most gods–most but not all, and one of those exceptions was the god of destruction.

Flying over the would sea a thick fog of destruction was headed towards a single crimson soul bead that floated above the sea of souls, unperturbed by the approaching calamity.

The god was still travelling at a speed which made even the time and space to waver neared the waters, the sea started to ripple, its once calm and serene waters became turbulent.

The soul bead finally sensing danger reacted, a scene which even made the god halt in his approach took place.

A vortex of time and space started forming as the bead spun in its position, slowly it floated up leaving the waters. A fisser started to form in its previous location.

The vortex started getting bigger and bigger, the area around the soul bead was already devoid of any other soul. And hence all the vortex did was–it parted the water creating a huge wave which spread to all the directions and at the same time a crack appeared in thin air.

The god, unable to believe what it witnessed, suddenly disappeared and reappeared before the crimson soul bead, surrounding the soul bead, two malevolent forces crashed into each other, the struggle to come out on top continued.

The shockwaves caused the crash created another bigger vortex that caused the water to rise high up in the air.

Two forces that defied all laws of nature, one malevolent and the other destructive clashed again and again, strong winds started to blow as once starry sky of the soul dimension was now veiled with shadows.

The clash between the crimson bead and the god continued none of the two backing down from the confrontation, this was distruction's first time facing an entity that could clash toe to toe with him albeit it wasn't actually the god of destruction itself but rather his essence that was fighting with the crimson orb.

This was the main reason why the god of destruction could travel in the soul sea–because it wasn't him that travelled rather it was his essence and even if he lost a part of his essence he could gain it back albeit it takes time.

But even though it wasn't destruction itself rather his essence but that didn't mean that it wasn't strong, even his essence was strong enough to wipe out planets yet–the orb of crimson was standing strong.

Destruction was intrigued by this turn of events but this didn't deter him from trying to complete his task.

Destruction suddenly disappeared and appeared a distance away from the crimson bead, his aura disappeared and the black mist took a form of a Trident–The Trident had a very domineering presence, and even the orb of crimson felt it, instinctively a huge amount of energy came out of the orb surrounding it, the trident locked into its target and shot forward, in an instant it appeared before the orb.

But an instant was all it took for the bead to disappear, the trident which was homing onto the orb also turned abruptly changing its trajectory mid flight it shot down and disappeared into the crack that was created in the air.

Inside the dimensional tear, the orb of crimson was travelling at an overwhelmingly high speed, the crimson energy it previously released was spreading throughout the expanse inside the crack, using its own energy as a medium it propelled itself forward, the trident was following right behind it, two beams of light one crimson and one black continued to travel inside the space time.

The energy that the orb was releasing was meant to be used as a radar system, suddenly a shockwave travelled through the dimension forcing the trident to halt while the orb continued to move away in a moment it disappeared from the tidents sight but it could still feel it, but at the moment a more threatening presence made itself known.

A crystalline creature, a triangular maw and a long serpentine body, it looked like a living embodiment of crystalline perfection, with its body composed of ever shifting geometrical shapes.

This creature was a being from a race called the [Vorpaliths]--the Vorpaliths possess the power to manipulate reality itself, bending space and time to their will.

The reason why destruction halted was because it was about to enter The Vorpaliths territory and they hate intruders, even if that intruder happens to be a god–let alone its essence.

Even the gods couldn't go against the so called [Higher Beings], a single Vorpalith is capable of destroying planets, the trident shook and released an aura of destruction–although it was forbidden to enter the territory of a higher being, it was still on a mission by its creator and it will complete its job or perish trying.

The vorpalith looked at the trident coldly before becoming intangible, the trident flew through the vorpalith, before the trident had any time to turn around the vorpalith had already turned and closed its crystalline maw onto the trident crushing it into smitterines.

After doing so the crystal serpent's body started to change as its body twisted and turned, its whole structure changed and it transformed into a humanoid, its body still made of the same refractive crystals.

It shifted its body and moved its head to look behind itself, the crystalline structure of its eyes shifted and turned as its vision zoomed and locked onto another target, a crimson beam of light which was travelling at very high speeds.

The vorpal shot forward in its direction with a speed incomparably fast to both the bead and the trident, but alas, before it even cleared half the distance between them, a crack appeared in the space and the crimson bead as though it had been expecting this to happen–flew into the crack and the next moment the crack closed.

A moment later the vorpalith appeared at the place where the crack appeared, its crystalline hands tuned intangible as it caressed the space but alas there was nothing there, looking around the creature saw nothing else as it once again disappeared from its spot going towards god knows where.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy~
