Chapter 14

Trevor Anthony & Rose

8:25 AM

June 27th, 2025

Trevor wakes up, then yawning. "Hey Anthony, it's time for you to look for those scrap parts." Trevor said as he shook Anthony. "5 more minutes." Said Anthony, pulling his sleeping bag up more. "Aw come on, dude! You have to get the parts for my hand!" Trevor says. Anthony sighs, and climbs out of his sleeping bag. "Alright, tidy up our base, I'll get dressed and gather up some parts to start building" Anthony says. Anthony takes his pj's off, and slides on a brown shirt, then wrapping his standard lab coat around his waist. Then Anthony puts some jeans on. "Alright, see you in a few." Anthony says, then finally climbing out of their base and leaving the comic book store. Trevor then lays back down, only to see Rose creepingly staring at him. "What are you doing." Trevor said "I'm just watching you sleep." Rose says with a big smile on her face. "Anthony likes the worst types ever." Trevor says. "What?" Rose said. "Oh, nothing," Trevor replies. "Okay..." Rose says laying back down. "Phew." Trevor said, then closing his eyes.

1 hour and 30 minutes later

Anthony opens the flimsy comic book store door, walking in with a truckload of scrap parts and metal. Anthony walked over behind a shelf where a hole leading into the secret base was, and climbed down, landing in the base. Anthony looks at Trevor and Rose sleeping in their sleeping bags. Anthony drops the pile of scraps onto the ground, "time to get to some real work" Anthony says, pulling out a little fold out work table he had made before. Anthony sets a piece of scrap metal on the table then, waking up Trevor. "Hey man, today is the big day!" Anthony says. "What big day?" Trevor replies. "The day where you get your robotic hand!" Anthony said. "I guess doing that track really did pay off." Said Trevor, then standing up. Anthony takes out his toolbox, and starts working on building the robotic hand. Anthony takes a welder mask he had found while looking for scrap parts and slides it onto his head, getting ready to work. Anthony grabs some TLG filler rods, and moves them across the scrap metal edges, then scraping them across and middle area. Then Anthony reaches down and grabs another piece of metal, connects the two pieces of metal together with tack welds, still leaving a small gap in between the two parts of metal, connecting them. He repeats this process over and over again, placing the pieces of metal together in a way that starts to form the shape of a hand. Anthony makes three fingers out of the metal, and connects them to the main part of the hand. Anthony looks down at where the pile of metal used to be. "Shoot, I should've gathered more metal!" Anthony says, holding his head. Trevor raises an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" Trevor asks. "I still have to make more fingers, but I don't have enough metal. I'll go gather some to finally finish the hand tomorrow" Anthony says. "Ugh, fine." Trevor says. Anthony rolls his eyes and smiles, taking off his welder mask. Anthony looks at the hole above them, leading to the outside of their base. "You mind waking Rose up? she's been asleep this whole day," Anthony says. "Okay" Trevor replies. Trevor looked down at Rose's sleeping bag, but it was empty. "What the?" Trevor says. "What wrong?" Anthony says, confused. "Rose, sh- she's gone" Trevor says.
