The Shattered Hope
"Keep breathing regularly," the scientist told the volunteer.
The volunteer smiled, then lay down on his gurney, breathing well under the watchful eye of the scientist and everyone else.
"I hope it will turn out well," Rachel glanced at Alina.
"Yeah," Alina took a deep breath. "As we all hope."
But at least Rachel D'Amethyst and the rest of them can have some hope with the new serum. A few hours earlier, they had done a simulation watched by state-of-the-art cameras.
The new serum is dripped on the Healer serum drops. The footage shows activity that gives them little hope. The new serum element which is slightly yellowish seems to be able to eat the Healer's serum element which is slightly bluish.
They were smiling happily at that time. It was clear on their monitor screens that the new serum was dominating and there wasn't even a bluish tint to the drops apart from a yellowish tint.
