Not a Brave Man

"Hmm, is that so, huh?" Yu nodded slowly. "And, how long will it take for me to enter that phase?"

"Are you scared, Yu?"

"Not really. I'm just following what you said earlier, that this will take a long time."

"Well, I consider you a brave man then."

"I'm not a man by those criteria." Yu glanced at the doctor. "Trust me."

The doctor laughed softly, and her sweet laugh made Yu smile widely. Moreover, the rows of clean white teeth, as well as the cleavage of her breasts look very tight.

Yu gulped and shifted his gaze to the ceiling before something in his crotch provoked it to wake up.

"It only takes about fifteen minutes."

"Oh, I see?"

"Yeah. But you need not be afraid," said the doctor. "If you're already in that phase, just keep communicating calmly with me. OK?"

"You will continue to accompany me, Doc?"

"Of course. That's why I said, once again, I'm asking you small things."

"Ah, so it turns out that way? All right, Doc. And thanks, this can calm me down a bit."

The doctor smiled. She rose from her seat and pushed the stainless steel table on wheels further away from her position. Again, the doctor made sure that all the fine wires in Yu's head were in good condition.

"Tell me, Yu…" said the doctor as she sat back in the chair without a backrest. She folded one leg over the other.

Yu glanced and saw the doctor's thighs were smooth because the tight black dress the doctor was wearing was quite short. He swallowed and turned his attention back.

"…You said earlier that you weren't a brave man, didn't you?"

"Yeah, that's who I am. I will not be ashamed to admit all this to you."

The doctor laughed softly shaking her head. "But, I see something different in you."

"Is that what you think?"

"Yeah, with all this madness."

"Aah, of course," Yu smiled broadly. "You still think I'm crazy."

"Yeah, I'm sorry for that," said the doctor. "However, don't you think, which normal person would accept an offer to enter a Black Hole?"

Yu smiled, his gaze not so excited looking up at the ceiling.

But that it's true, the man thought. There will only be two types of humans who are willing to enter the Black Hole which for thousands of years has remained a great mystery to scientists.

The first is the madman that the doctor said several times. And the second is a person who has given up on his own life and finally decided to accept the crazy offer, at least, the end of that person's life might be useful for science.

And, Yu is a person in the second category.

"That's why I said earlier," said the doctor, "you are a brave man."

"Thanks, I guess." Yu smiled. "But really, I'm just tired of my own life."

"Why do you even feel that way?"

Yu took a deep breath. "I'm tired of the life I have, Doc."

"Alina," said the doctor. "You can call me Alina."

Yu glanced at the young doctor again, then glanced at the name badge on the doctor's chest. Yu smiled again because now his attention was again focused on the doctor's breasts which were quite large under the dress with low cleavage.

Yu took a deep breath. "Okay," he said. "Doctor Alina."

Alina laughed softly while shaking her head.

"Then?"

Yeah…" said Yu. "Being someone who doesn't have a job—you understand that, don't you, Alina?"

"Hmm, I can imagine. But, I want to hear your version."

Yu smiled again, for a moment he glanced at the large monitor on his left. Everything looks fine, he thought.

"Become the ridicule of others. Overwhelmed by rancid bastards who pretend to be rulers. Having no family—"

"So, you are an orphan?"

"That's how it is."

"Then?"

"Have no friends. Practically, I live alone."

Alina laughed silently. "I can't believe this."

"Oh, believe me, Doc," said Yu. "I don't even have a girlfriend."

"Hmm…" Alina folded one arm across her chest, and the other hand tapped her chin as she scanned Yu from head to toe.

"What are you thinking, Alina?" Yu asked with a frown.

"I thought you were just making it up intending to get close to me."

"So, that's what you think of me?"

"Well, looks pretty much to me."

"Oh my," Yu chuckled. "But, I won't refuse if you want to have a relationship with me."

"Yea, yea…" Alina smiled in a nod of her head. "I'll take that into a chance once you've managed to get into that Black Hole, and come back in one piece to Earth."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"You have a pretty decent face, Yu. Your body is also nice and healthy. I don't see something wrong in you?"

"Either your words are just to comfort me who will soon be risking my own life, or are you telling me the truth?"

"Well, you could say that," said Alina. "But, I don't think you're blind either. You must often look at your face, your body in the mirror, right?"

"Of course."

"That's what I mean."

"And why is that?"

"You're quite attractive. So, yeah… I'm not sure if you don't have a girlfriend."

"Not a single one."

"Don't tell me you haven't done that either? Aah, I mean, kissing?"

Yu smiled faintly as he looked up at the ceiling, then shook his head weakly.

"That's how it really is. That's why I told you earlier that I'm tired of my own life. And the end, I saw this offer in various media. Without thinking twice, I applied right away, and was accepted."

"Accepted because you're the only one who is crazy enough to want to do this."

"Yeah, I guess that's too."

Then, Yu looked like he had lost his concentration. His hand reached out slowly, as if he saw something, and tried to reach it.

Alina understands, the man has entered a phase where the man's right brain waves are seen issuing a larger series of activities, they are monitored and can be seen on the monitor screen.

"Remain calm, Yu," said the doctor as she rose from her chair, and examined the man's body. Also, all the devices are attached to Yu's body. "Keep breathing regularly."

Meanwhile, the man's pupils were changing in size. It expands intermittently, then the next second it shrinks, and then returns to its normal size. So it kept repeating for a while.

Alina noticed the exaggerated movement of Yu's heartbeat, so she approached the stainless steel table and grabbed an injection that was still in its plastic wrap.

The doctor tore the plastic, took out a syringe that already contained a special colorless liquid. And then inject the liquid into Yu's body.
