Bending Reality for a lie 2
At the sound of rain falling on the pavement, an 18-year-old teenager had steel rods sticking out of his chest. The objects that pierced his body were steel bars used for construction. Seconds before his death the teen was having a "Life flashes before your eyes" moment.
"I didn't do much did I? I just did what the world told me to and broke when I found out I was not special. I did my best, but it wasn't enough. Status, looks, and even intelligence, I wasn't born with any. Hell, I didn't even get to have a girlfriend."
When he thought about the word girlfriend the voice of the one he adored echoed in his ears if only the voice was speaking in warmth and affection.
