45 Happy Man Part 2

POV Fred:

I could never let her leave the SM. I did not know what sort of obligations she has to Joan. All I know is she has been cheating me behind my back. But frankly, if it is to save her brother, then how can I blame her. I could never blame if a man stole food from a shop if he is hungry.

At home:

Fred and Lea discussed about Claire and her brother.

Lea: Can you get the details of her brother, where is he admitted etc? If we can get that details, we can go directly there and assess the situation and help her in every way possible. We can include this in our charity too.

Fred felt her suggestion a good one. Of course we can start it helping one of our employees.

Fred: What about the other case? Have you told the details to Jesse.

Lea: I did. She will let me know one she is able to catch hold of them.

Fred: Ok. The kids are Hanna's friends, right?

Lea: Yep.

Fred: From next academic year, we need to change Hanna's school. She should go to the school in the next street. We all studied there.

Lea: May I ask you something Fred. Answer me only if you feel to. Frankly I cannot hold the curiosity any more.

Fred: What is it?

Lea: Regarding Micheal and Joan. Why he disliked her?

Fred: This is a mystery for me too. I asked him many times but he simply said he hates her. Hate is more strong than the word dislike. it was our parent's decision that Joan and Michael should marry. Michael was against this but Joan was after our parents to make this happen. She had Michael in her mind from childhood. She was nothing more than a classmate and family friend to him. I don't even know him having dated with any other girls. I even thought him to be a gay.

Lea: You mentioned me that on that date I lost my virginity... Who told you this? Is it Michael?

Fred: Yes, it was he.

Lea: But nothing happened like that. I only had sex after he married me.

Fred was shocked. What to say, he felt like fainting. Then why he lied? 'Micheal you purposely did this, right? I hate you Michael, I hate you'. He remained speechless. He felt betrayed by his own brother. Tears rolled down from his eyes.

Lea sat near him. She wiped his tears. She don't know what to say to him. "I didn't mean to hurt you Fred. This is the truth. I was also betrayed like you. You are the one who put hope in me that I have someone in my life. I never had parents too. I know the truth now and I am trying my best to get along with it. However, I am finding it difficult. May be sometime in future I wil be okay with this. Sometimes Michael wanted to save himself from Joan. On that date, all we had is a long talk and went to pub to have a drink. He was silent on that day and I asked him many times what happened. He wanted to distract me and invited me to have a drink. Then I went to my home. A few days later he called me and said his family is against our marriage and he want to register our marriage. This is what happened."
