The Last Immortal Transmigrates After 5,000 Years

Forced to walk a new path in life after failing to ascend, a once immortal martial artist, Ryu Il, faces the trials and tribulations of the Other Side once more. But not everything was as it seemed, though he was in his younger self's body once more, minor details had gone awry. "Yet here I float, the 'craziest human to live on Earth' being the last human to exist. It's pretty ironic." The last normal words I spoke before ascending for the first time, it's funny how I remember them now. But this time, I'm not taking no as an answer!

Mistakes of the Executives (2)

"If you're going to lead us properly, you should at least join us in training, no?"

This fucker stopped training to invite me to train with him, what is he up to? Now that I think about it, this guy has been staring daggers into me for a while now, this must be a scheme.

And the best way to stop a scheme is to play into the scheme.

I turned my head and looked at Bae Suk and asked a simple question.

"Bae Suk, how many Skull Crushers are you up to?"

Bae Suk stopped performing Skull Crushers and looked over to me before responding. "I'm up to four hundred now."

Four hundred huh? That should be good enough to scare this guy into never scheming against me again.

"That's a good handicap, I'll catch up to you in a few minutes."

I stood up and grabbed the stone the executive had dropped and held it above my head, and not a second later I began performing Skull Crushers at a rate several times faster than Bae Suk had been going at.

This was easy, I had been doing this exercise with boulders more than three times the size of this one. With this giant body of mine, holding boulders of that size was much easier though.

Within seconds the murmuring between the other executives halted, leaving only the confusion and awe on their faces to fill the silence. The only one not showing those expressions was the one who challenged me to join them.

He had the face of someone who'd made the worst mistake of his life, his eyes and cheekbones had shrunk so far into his face that his skull was partially visible in those areas.

Serves him right for trying to scheme against me, everyone who's tried to scheme against me so far in this world has failed. But he didn't know that, so I don't blame him for trying.

"You, the one who invited me to join the training." I said, tossing the small boulder at his feet. "What's your name?"

"H-huh? Oh... It's Jin Mal-Chin, sir."

"Jin Mal-Chin huh? Well, Jin Mal-Chin, did you think I wouldn't notice what you were doing?"

More sweat began to exude from his face, his nervousness was evident to everyone around him, showing the other executives his true nature. But a moment later something I had not expected occurred.

"I wasn't scheming anything bad! I just wanted you to experience the pain we were going through with this training! You're being unreasonable and unrealistic; people normally can't withstand this much training out of nowhere. Not to mention that Bae Suk, Baek Il and Mun Hee are discouraging us with how fast they're going!"

It wasn't out of anger towards me specifically, it was anger towards my policies. I get where he's coming from now, he was fine with the training portion of it, but the three he had named off were making it worse for him since it made him, and the others feel like they weren't as good as those three.

"Hmmm, I see what you're trying to get at. Bae Suk, Baek Il, Mun Hee, I trust you three can complete the workouts I give you on your own without my supervision?"

"Yes, Cult Leader." Bae Suk quickly replied. "I will make sure they don't slack off for you."

"Good, then you three will receive the exercises from me before hand and train elsewhere in the forest from now on."

"Will do, Cult Leader." The three of them replied as they bowed deeply.

This was good, now that those three would be training elsewhere it would allow a new leader in the group to step up, and eventually I'll have close to three groups. Two of which are self-sufficient, so I don't have to watch over them, allowing me to focus on the slackers.

"Now, Jin Mal-Chin, since those three are gone you should have no problems focusing on your training, right? And since you caused a disturbance, you have to pay for it. All of you, another hundred reps have been added to the amount you need to complete."

This was the best plan to suit the group's needs. However, Jin Mal-Chin was more than ecstatic with the decision I had made. His eyes were so relaxed it looked like they might melt at any moment.

I guess he's happy about this? I've never seen someone's eyes do that naturally, normally when someone's eyes does that, it's because their insides are melting from a poison.

But Jin Mal-Chin wasn't dying of poison, he would be screaming in absolute pain if he was. So this was a natural thing I had nev-

"HRRRGGGGGG!"

Damn it, of course he was poisoned.

I quickly grabbed Jin Mal-Chin's body and sealed his pressure points as his skin began to turn purple and bulge out of his skin, halting the flow of the posion coursing through his body.

However, when I searched his body for any wounds that may have exposed him to poison, I noticed a purple needle in his back slowly dissolving into his skin.

"Everyone! Return to the cult and have Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong protect the cult members and take this one with you! There's an assassin aiming for us!"

Pulled the needle out of Jin Mal-Chin's back before it completely dissolved, there was a slight hint of qi left on the needle, and based on the direction it landed in his back I could tell where the needle had come from.

I threw the needle into the ground before the poison on it seeped into my hand and darted in the direction the needle came from. With assassination techniques like these, someone from the Vile Purple Clan had been sent to kill us.

The Vile Purple Clan was a clan within the Unorthodox group, and the only Unorthodox clan that had any motivation to kill me was the Namgung clan, so it was obvious who had sent this assassin after me.

I spotted the assassin leaping from branch to branch within the forest a moment later. Although, despite being from an assassin clan known for their sneaky killings and disappearances, this assassin was quite slow.

I drew the dragon horn blade out from its scabbard on my back as I caught up to the man, unleashing a powerful roar as I descended on the man.

"I've got you now bastard!"
