Baek Il the Fool

Baek Il, who had been leading the Demon Dragon Cult since the day I left the cult to train, was in dismay. Baek Il had thought by the time the two years was up, the reincarnated dragon would forget about the cult and go his separate way.

But here he was, standing in the doorway of his office with two more people behind him, six whole months earlier than he was supposed to return.

The day of our meeting was engraved into his mind, the fear he felt when he stepped out from the dragon's corpse and took over his cult by force had laid dormant for the past year and a half had surfaced once again.

And worst of all, if he made it to this building without causing an uproar in the other parts of the headquarters, it means he had grown exponentially stronger in the time he was gone.

But even worse, the dragon and his two new followers had interrupted a meeting to sell off the dragon horn weapon that had finished production six months ago.

"Cult leader, it seems like you have some explaining to do." One of the two unknown men in the room said softly, staring intently at me.

"Yes, Cult leader." The second unknown man said as he followed his partner's gaze. "You have some explaining to do."

Baek Il began to stammer as he racked his head for an answer, but before he could speak, Pyo Kang chimed in.

"It is as my master here said, the man you had been speaking to previously was the vice-leader. He was tasked with running the sect while the sect leader trained his martial arts."

Pyo Yong spoke a second later, not allowing Baek Il to respond the Pyo Kang's words.

"Baek Il is already showing our master's words to be true. Look at him sweating, if he knew my master was lying, he wouldn't be sweating, or even look so surprised for that matter."

The two men turned their heads toward Baek Il, which only confirmed what the Pyo Yong had said. Baek Il was sweating so hard a pool of sweat was forming on the floor beneath him, and his facial expression was that of someone who had seen a ghost.

I went around the desk that separated Baek Il from the rest of the room, and leaned in to whisper in Baek Il's ear.

"If you know what's good for you, leave the building and gather all the cult members."

Only responding with an audible gulp to my words, Baek Il stood up out of his chair and walked out of the building, leaving a trail of sweat behind him.

Now that Baek Il was gone, I could deal with the two people in front of me. I sat down in the chair Baek Il had been sitting in previously and placed my hands on the desk.

"So gentlemen, what were you discussing with the former Vice-leader?"

The two men looked at each other with a hint of hesitation in their eyes and Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong walked behind me, each of them standing on opposite sides of each other.

"We were discussing the purchase of the dragon horn weapon the cult made a while back. However, we hadn't even begun negotiation when you busted in."

"Oh? So the weapon made from my old horns is complete? Good, did Baek Il send someone to fetch the weapon?"

"Y-yes he did, but sir, did you say the horns were yours?"

Everyone within the building stared at me in confusion, including Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong. Though that was expected, I did just say the horns were my old ones after all.

"Ah, yes, those horns used to be on my head. After all, this body was born from the spiritual core of my previous body, and once the body was constructed, I had my memories transferred to it with the remaining energy within my old body."

The entire room went silent after I finished speaking, something so outrageous had been said that it left everyone dumbfounded. Even Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong hadn't the slightest clue as to what I was saying.

However, as I could trust those two, I quickly sent them a telepathic message.

'Pyo Kang, Pyo Yong, what I just said was a lie. But that is the story that must be believed because it's what I came up with to take control of this cult.'

Both twin's expressions cleared up when they heard my telepathic message enter their minds. They had been so confused about what I was saying to these unknown people since they knew I was a reincarnated immortal.

However, the two men hoping to buy the weapon made from Jinlong's horns were dumbfounded beyond what they thought was possible. They had no idea if what I was saying was the truth since there weren't any rumors of spiritual beasts turning into humans after death, but seeing my body size and the energy radiating from me forced them to believe my words.

After another minute of silence, a man stepped into the building, holding what looked like a sword wrapped in a golden leather cloth. The cloth had obviously been made from Jinlong's skin, normal materials like silk couldn't come close to replicating that shade of gold after all.

"Ah, it's here. Shall we take a look?" One of the unknown men asked as the cultist sat the weapon down on the table.

Not a moment later I pulled the golden cloth off the weapon, revealing a glimmering gold blade with a silver and black handle. The blade's curved edge looked sharp enough to even slice through mountains.

"Woah, it seems like the blacksmith did a good job with my horns." I replied, leaning over to inspect the blade further. "But why should I sell it to you two?"

"Well, for starters, we'd like to buy this blade so the cult doesn't go under. After all, the Vice-leader made many deals that he couldn't keep, losing a lot of money in the progress."

Damn it Baek Il, you've put yourself in an even worse position now, but that can wait. If I'm going to sell this magnificent blade, I need to know whom I'm selling it to.

"Before I can sell this to you, are you in any way related to the Namgung clan?"
