Me and Sarah walking into the room, while the guards just waited on the balcony until further orders are given. As we walk into the room, we can see that it is just a miniature throne room, that the Emperor uses to receive special or private guests instead of in the main throne room. This room even has two chairs set out below the Emperor so we can sit and talk to him.
We walk up to the chairs while the room is completely silent, there are only five people in the room currently. Me, Sarah, The Emperor, and his two guards by his side. Right before we take a seat we slightly bow before the Emperor, and then we take our seats before him.
"Haha, there is no need for the Guardian Elder to bow before me. You sure do age well for someone that has been alive for the same two thousand years as the Empire." The Emperor laughs while addressing me.
"I don't age at all." I mutter under my breath where he can't hear.
"Well whatever your reason are for being away from your duties of guarding our Empire, I will forgive them if you stay this time to fulfill your duty." The Emperor declares to me giving no alternatives.
"Sorry you majesty I didn't catch your name?"
"Its George Falx, I'm surprised you haven't kept up with the royal lineage, Elder." George takes a sip of his wine.
"Well George, I never agreed to be this Guardian Elder that the first Emperor declared me as, so I cannot stay as you wish of me." I say to him not backing down even if this means breaking into a fight.
"I figured as much, after all I'm no idiot. I just wanted to see your reaction, and it wouldn't have hurt if you did agree. But I do wish to make deal with you first." George smiles as he informed me that he knew all along.
Kind of surprised that he knew of this and was just pretending, I reply wondering what this deal is that he speaks of. "What deal would you like to propose, Your Majesty."
"Have you heard of the current situation involving Nevinter?" He asked patiently
"Yes, it's currently being defended by the Northern 35th Fleet, and is surrounded by multiple Dominion Fleets." I reply as i recall the information in the news.
"Yes, but if it was that simple I could have sent other fleets in to help fight off the Dominion. But they have something that blockes off all transmissions and signals, that we can't tell the exact positioning or numbers of enemy ships. So that's where I would like you to come in and help. I know you have a higher tech ship than anything else in the galaxy. With that in mind I was hoping you could use your ship to punture a hole into the enemy blockade, and send a homing signal to give a location for my fleets to arrive and begin attack. With that opening, we can have secure starting position to obliterate the enemy. My reward to you, is if you complete this task; I will erase all data and records stating a Guardian Elder so no future Emperor's even know about you. What do you think?"
"It's a risky plan but it sounds fun, plus i like the reward your giving. No future Emperor trouble, sounds good to me. Here is the frequency signal that I will send out for your Admirals to Warp in." I accept the deal and take out a small cube device that contains the receiver for location based signals.
"That is fantastic to hear, now I can rest assured that the Northern 35th fleet can be rescued. Remember not to skip out because I will only erase the records once the mission is complete." The Emperor George Falx warns me before he beckons for us to go back to the Flying Van.
"Not to worry Your Majesty, we will get it done." I say to him as I bow before we walk back to the balcony.
"Wow, I was so nervous that I could not even speak a word during the entire conversation." Sarah excitedly states as we step back into the van.
"We will take you both back to the spaceport that your ship is parked at, is that alright Sir?" The guard driving askes for confirmation on the destination for us to be dropped off at.
"Yah that is fine, It looks like I have work to do and need to get serious for this job as it will be a little tough." Even though I say that, my face looks really excited for the upcoming action and thrills that await in the coming battle.
"Well lets get started, you'll get to experience your first war now, Sarah." I tell her as we lift off from the balcony.
"Mhm, I'm actually a little scared since I've never seen or been in any large conflicts such as this. Will everything turn out fine?" Sarah askes sounding somewhat nervous.
"Yeah, don't worry. The Evanescent can take a lot hits, and can give even more." I assuredly tell her.
