CHAPTER: 1

I got up from my bed from this weird headache. then I looked around me and found out that I was in my dorm room. Then I walked to look at the window and I found out that I was back at New York City.

"It worked. It really worked HAHA" I looked at my phone quickly and it was 7 in the morning and the date was 7th of may 2030 one week before it all happened. I have a lot of time to prepare before the apocalypse. But first I have to go and see Andrew then my family.

I looked at the other bed beside me and noticed that it was empty. looks like my roommate Andrew woke up early today which is weird. He was the kind of guy who would rather sleep then do anything. but looks like he didn't do that today. But I remember in the past that he was still sleeping at that time. Suddenly a screen popped out of nowhere in front of me.

"she really did invest a lot on me, didn't she ?" I said after I said that I thought about checking my status.

I looked at my status in disbelief. I didn't know I was that weak in the past. But that can be fixed for sure. I opened my old closet and changed my cloths. After that I went out of my dorm room, and went straight to my college. Today is the weekend so Most of the students aren't here except for those who joined a club and I'm heading to the archery club.

As I entered the huge building that has the archery club sign on it. I started to hear the familiar sounds of the arrows being shot, and when I entered everyone's eyes were on me. I didn't mind them and continued walking.

"Aiden you are back ?"

I heard a women's voice behind me. but I ignored her and kept walking. I kept looking for the couch's office and now after looking around for five minute I was facing it. I knocked on the door and heard the familiar voice.

"come in"

I opened the door and went in and the person in front of me was surprised seeing me.

"Aiden barron what are you doing here ?"

"I want to come back couch."

"But I thought you said you will never come back three months ago."

"I wasn't at my best condition when I said that couch after what happened. You of all people should understand."

"Very well, I'm quite happy you are back. But you won't be the team leader someone else took that role."

"I understand I'm happy enough being here."

"Well now that this is done wait for me outside. I'll introduce you to everyone."

"Yes couch."

and just like that I got back on the team. I left the team 3 months ago because my girlfriend cheated on me the day I won the championships. I was depressed at that day she was the reason that made me give my all in archery and now that she cheated on me I left the team and never came back. But I have to thank most of the people in the team for not hating me for the decision I made while the rest of the team hated me and never wanted to see me. as I was looking around I saw a group of five people approaching me.

"Oh look who do we have here. The former team leader." said the one leading the group.

"Yes, who are you again ?"

The one leading the group seemed to be taken aback from this.

"I'm...."

"Didn't ask" I said cutting the man off and he seemed irritated

"What's your problem dude ?" said one of the people in the group and I just looked at him for a second and then ignored him. this made the group pretty pissed, and one of them was reaching for me and I prepared to teach him a lesson.

"What are you guys doing ?"

"Coach !!!" everyone in the group said.

"We weren't doing anything. But this guy seemed to be lost."

"he isn't lost I told him to wait for me outside. Now get back to work all of you." he said as he glared at them. "ok sir." said all of them while running.

"let's go everyone is waiting."

"Yes sir."

We started to head to the back side of the archery club till we arrived outside were all the archery dummy's were at and on the left side of the dummy's were a group of people whispering to each other. Once they saw us they stopped talking. But kept their eyes on me.

"Ok it's time for you to take your test. There are four dummy's each one of them have a ten meter gap. I want you to land a perfect shot on the first two dummy's and you'll be in the club sounds easy for you ?" "Oh and not to forget you only have 8 arrows no more"

"where's my bow ?"

"Oh that. Simon bring me a bow." shouted the coach and one of the people in the group jumped and ran inside the club and came back with a bow.

[the host just got a quest]

'now we're talking' I thought getting a class this early on is like a the best reward that anyone could ask for each time we level up we only get an increase of all states by one point. but when the classes level up we get even more points.

I took the bow from Simons hand and smiled to him and he smiled back and left to group.

"are you ready Aiden ?"

"yes couch"

"start!"

once he said that I loaded my bow with one arrow and aimed it at the closest dummy and when I shot the dummy the arrow landed perfectly on the dummy. I didn't wait any longer and loaded another arrow and aimed at the next dummy. This time I held my breath and aimed and shot the arrow. But this time the arrow didn't land on the dummy it was only two inches away from where it.

I took out another arrow and aimed at the dummy then I held my breath. This time I was confident that I would hit the target perfectly I shot my arrow and it landed on the dummy perfectly. Now with this I got accepted to the club but I wasn't satisfied.

I took out another arrow and aimed it at the next dummy like last time and held my breath and shot my arrow this time it landed 3 meters away from the dummy way further from the last dummy. I tried again and again and after the third arrow I landed a perfect hit on the dummy. Now there was only one dummy left and one arrow on me. I stopped knowing that one arrow won't be enough.

I turned around to look at the group of people that was watching my performance and they were silent. A minute went by and then suddenly I heard the sound of clapping, and when I look at the one making the sound I found out it was the couch.

"Welcome back Aiden."
