Amyas was getting used to Amrit improving little by little in the battle. But since Amrit was using different tactics every time he used his fists, the improvement seemed negligible. But the last attack had drastically improved. A little bit of aura damaging insides could be neglected as it could be recovered while fighting but Amyas felt that the previous attack had penetrated a bit deeper and it was stuck in his muscles like maggots.
Seeing the expression of Amyas, Amrit knew he was in the right direction and he was about to succeed. The idea behind his technique was to use the attributes of his cultivation technique and make the technique blood attribute. When his aura is injected into the opponent's body, it will come in contact with the opponent's blood and wrestle the blood's contact from the opponent thus damaging their body with their own blood. This was quite sinister if viewed from the orthodox faction's point of view but Amrit found that along with his cultivation, this technique could cause massive damage to the enemy internally.
He had first thought of shaking internal organs for more damage but if he can affect the opponent's blood and use it to damage them then he could cause far more damage and at unexpected places too. The blood could reach virtually everywhere in the cultivator's body which means he could stealthily damage the opponent's body. The penetration of defense and aura sticking to the opponent's muscles were just bonuses, the real surprise was what came later after the aura touched the bloodstream. This was not just corruption but complete control. He had finally figured out the penetration of defense part now all he needed was to incorporate the blood-controlling part.
This technique although deadly would be useless for most of the cultivators because very few could master the blood attribute to the level of Asura. This was also why Amrit was hell-bent on creating his own technique rather than practicing those in the Skill pavilion. Amyas just felt there was something wrong with the aura injected and decided to use his own aura to scrape off Amrit's. Although the aura seemed a little sinister there was no evil intent emanating through it so Amyas's guard was still low.
This was due to Amrit not perfecting the technique otherwise the opponent wouldn't have even known that the aura had already penetrated the bloodstream. Even if they found out about it, it would be too late for them. For the cultivators with absolute control over their bodies, it would be hard for Amrit to infiltrate their blood but for most of the foundation building realm cultivators, it was absolutely deadly when the defense was penetrated. Amrit was in no hurry to activate the corrupted blood inside Amyas's body.
He was just getting the hang of it and it wasn't like he would get to battle to his heart's content every day. Amyas continued healing the tissues damaged from the aura attack. After a few seconds, the clingy aura disappeared silently and Amyas paid no mind to it. For him, this was a good thing. He had already used an aura recovery pill so he didn't want to waste more time and let Amrit recover more. He used the fist technique from their clan and gathered aura in his fist. Since he was going to finish this battle quickly, Amyas gathered a lot of aura in this attack.
He had nearly depleted almost all of the recovered aura and used the technique he had yet to master. This was a gamble on his part because he knew the existing fist techniques were not lethal enough for Amrit. The moment Amyas gathered aura on his fists, Amrit felt something was amiss. Although the aura gathered this time was almost pure jade white and looked like a weak flame that could be extinguished with a breeze, his instinct was warning him this aura was dangerous. Amrit didn't have extra defensive technique except for the armor-like construct from his aura and this was also one of the skills to utilize aura included in the cultivation technique.
Although creating an armor of aura was just a skill of manipulating aura and not a martial technique, it was better than most of the defensive techniques on the Skill pavilion of the Rijal clan. Amrit focused more aura on the armor and channeled his remaining aura onto his fist. Although he had a lot of reserves left due to his cultivation technique and could recover very swiftly, there was still a limit to what a mortal body could achieve.
Amrit used most of his aura this time because he felt a big attack was coming. Amyas finished channeling his aura in his fist and the weak-looking jade white aura was giving dreadful vibes. The air around them was rippling and then it went static, everything was under absolute silence, and even the faint light of the night sky was distorted. Amidst the absolute silence, two figures wrapped in jade white aura and crimson red aura leaped towards each other. They clashed in the air and everything around them turned chaotic.
The stillness around them was stirred with shockwaves and crackling noise, the soil was flying everywhere and dust clouded the onlooker's vision and there was a deep hole in the ground. After the dust settled, the cultivators nearby got curious about who was making such a big commotion. When they looked, they saw only one man standing and a hole in the ground. The hole was not big just about three meters in diameter and it wasn't even that deep just about a meter.
The roots of some grass were visible on the hole and inside was a man lying down, his body twitching a little. It was night and since the dust had just settled, it took a while for the cultivators to get a clear view of the person on the ground. The person was wearing a tattered robe and his face was covered with cloth. As for the man standing, he was bleeding through almost all of his orifices, and his aura seemed greatly depleted. Not only did his aura wither, there were even signs of his vitality withering.
Although the withered vitality could be repaired, it was expensive even for someone of the Visigoth clan. Amyas had greatly underestimated the backlash of that technique. It was the ultimate technique of his clan and he hadn't even mastered it to a proficient level. Even if he had mastered that technique, with his insufficient cultivation level, he would have definitely faced a backlash. He had calculated the risks beforehand; it was just that he didn't seem good at math. This time he had screwed a bit.
But looking at Amrit lying down the hole twitching his body gave him some solace. Sending such an opponent to his deathbed, it was worth it even if a little of his vitality was damaged.
