"Actually, I prepared a different present for you, Ayesha. Are you ready to see it now?" He said while looking at my eyes.
He seems to be having second thoughts base on how he looks at me, and how his hands shake a bit. So I tilt my head at the side and eye him for a few seconds before smiling and giving him a nod.
"Of course!" I answered confidently, as I wait for him to show me his gift.
But as soon as the gift was presented, I absentmindedly let go of the bouquet and show him a look of betrayal. How could he do this to me?
"I now present you for your birthday," he started.
"The truth." He said while looking at me as if weighing his thoughts if he is going, to tell the truth, or not.
