Take Revenge

Feeling it was odd that suddenly so many people were coming towards this house, Luca painstakingly stood up and did some reconnaissance. 

When he came back, his face was pale and he looked panicked. 

"Lady Katherine! The locals have come here with fire torches! Looks like someone has given the news that there are vampires here!"

Seeing his condition that even walking was difficult, and Katherine who didn't want to hurt humans, made Luca panic. 

"Let's get out of here right away!" shouted Luca who couldn't find a solution. The only way for them is to leave this house. 

"Shut up! Luca! I will not go anywhere! I'm going to save my husband!" said Katherine who did not care. The important thing for him now is to revive her husband. 

Luca was silent when he heard it, he looked at Katherine and outwards alternately. From where he was, he could see a yellow light slowly starting to approach this place 

"I'm sorry, Lady Katherine."

With what remained of his strength, Luca began to chant a spell. His handsome face looked in pain as he cast the spell and fresh blood appeared on his lips. 

However, that didn't stop Luca from doing what he did. The hordes of citizens around is getting closer. 

"Luca…. You!"

Katherine immediately turned to look at Luca when she realized there was a small magic circle right under her feet, before she had time to react, she felt a tremendous drowsiness and finally Katherine fell and was unconscious. 

"Cough"

Luca vomited blood again. once finished the spell. It is a spell to put the target to sleep and takes time to cast the spell. 

"Lady Katherine..."

While enduring the pain, Luca approached Katherine who was now asleep beside Javier. He looked back and saw the citizens who were getting closer , making Luca quicken his pace. 

As soon as Luca finally touched Katherine's hand, with difficulty, he chanted a spell. Luca groaned again in pain and felt his body like being stabbed by needles. However, he had to finish the spell. 

"Teleport."

After saying that,  a magic circle appeared and made Luca and Katherine disappear . 

Once they arrived at the destination, Luca tried hard to open his eyes to see if he had arrived, as well as to make sure he took Katherine with him. Luca smiled with relief when he saw Katherine's sleeping body, before finally everything went dark.

Luca slowly opened his eyes when he felt something dazzling, he slightly raised his hand to block the sunlight, but the next second a painful groan was followed by his movement.

"Your wounds are quite serious. Better not move just yet."

Luca turned to the side when he heard that familiar voice. The figure of Katherine was seen sitting, leaning against the wall and hugging her legs. With empty eyes.

Luca then turned to his body. A small smile appeared on his lips when he realized that his upper body was wearing nothing and had been wrapped in bandages. The bandage looked unkempt, indicating that the person who had bandaged it had never done this before.

Even so, Luca liked it.

"How long have I been unconscious, Lady Katherine?" Luca asked curiously. He sat back on the back of the bed and looked to the side.

His last memory was Luca trying to bring Katherine to this hiding place after a mob of citizens came carrying torches.

Then… what about Javier? 

Luca wanted to ask that, but he tried to restrain himself.

"Two weeks," Katherine said, still sounding cold and staring blankly ahead. 

"Get well soon and take me back home. I should at least say goodbye to my husband."

After saying that, Katherine stood back up and left the room. 

Luca just smirked when he heard that. This was the furthest hideout from Katherine's house. 

He originally thought Christine and Leonardo would harm Katherine, so he chose this place when running away.

Katherine looked at her house, or now that it was no longer her house, with a look of longing and sadness. 

This house was supposed to be a place for her and Javier to live together, but now it had become dilapidated and looked old. 

It had been two months since Katherine had last been here. When she first woke up after Luca put her to sleep with a spell, Katherine tried to find her house again, but as if she was in a different place, she couldn't find it at all. 

Desperate, Katherine then returned back and intended to tell Luca to take her back. However, the man was unconscious and his injuries were getting worse. 

Seeing that, Katherine thought back to Javier's stiff body. She had already lost her husband, she didn't want to lose someone precious to her again. 

Katherine ends up trying to take care of Luca, though in order to do so, she steals things he needs. 

"Lady Katherine!"

Katherine turned around when Luca's voice sounded. She looked at the man whose hair seemed to be glistening with the morning sun. 

"I've found him."

Katherine took a deep breath then nodded and followed the man. 

Shortly after, they arrived at the cemetery area. . 

Katherine looked at the gravestone bearing the name of Javier, her husband. she did not know who buried the bodies of Javier here, but Katherine was very grateful to that person. 

Javier live alone, but he has a good personality and liked by everyone. 

At least ... her husband can rest in peace and well-being. 

Luca stares at Katherine from a distance. After finding Javier's grave and dropping off Katherine, he slowly walks away and gives Katherine a chance to be alone. 

He doesn't want to disturb Katherine who wants to say her goodbyes. 

Luca's heart aches when he sees Katherine who wears a black dress with a sad-looking face. From where he was he could even see as the tears finally fell from her cheeks and Katherine tried to wipe them away. 

Luca felt guilty for this incident, he didn't like it when he saw Katherine hurt and sad like that. 

If only… if only he were stronger. 

"Lady Katherine," Luca called out in surprise when Katherine was walking towards him.

The woman's face that used to look sad, now looked scary with her red eyes and sharp fangs. 

The aura around Katherine seemed to change, causing Luca to take a few steps back when Katherine was not far from him. 

"Luca!" said Katherine who didn't stop walking as she passed Luca. 

Luca gulped when he saw Katherine open her hands and her nails looked long and sharp. 

"Yes, Lady Katherine?" asked Luca timidly. He could sense Katherine would attack him if he said something wrong. 

"Help me track down Christine and your brother!" Katherine said coldly. 

Luca was surprised to hear that. 

"Is Lady Katherine..."

"Yes! I will avenge them! I will take revenge for Javier!"
