Control freak boss

Xie had totally forgotten about his wife.

His face turned red as he answered" I did not contact her, I was worried about your safety and then you were unconscious so I... "

Ari sighed and said" How many times I have to tell you to keep your wife in company especially more so when she is giving birth to your child."

Xie lowered his head in shame.

"In which hospital is she?" Ari asked

"Here" he replied with his head still down.

"Go meet her, apologize and stay by her side" Ari commanded.

"But you are not safe what if they attack again, you can't fight now. I need to protect you...I can't.."

Ari interrupted "It's not a request it's an order.And I am sure there are at least 15 well trained bodyguards outside the door."

Which was indeed truth.

Xie can't argue anymore and gave in with a grin" OK boss" and he left.

Xie was extremely loyal to Ari also he acted like siscon overprotective big brother. He would follow her everywhere while being in the shadows. He never spent much time with his wife Jae Xuan who was one of Ari's close friends and took place of her mother when Merlin was assassinated. Ari shared everything with Jae. Ari would try to make him spend more time with Jae when she became pregnant but Xie was always too busy training and protecting Ari. Apart from that he obeyed Ari's every order he didn't considered anything important. Ari still wonders why her perfect Jae Unni who was once the top assassin in her field would love such a useless man.

When Xie reached Jae's maternity ward he found out she had already given birth to his son. He was extremely happy and went straight to his wife and hugged her.

Jae almost suffocated in his tight grip but she managed to say"Are you happy?"

Tears flowing from his eyes Xie replied" Very much" This was the first time Jae saw him cry after Ari's parents death. Although she wanted to scold him for not being by her side when she needed him she cannot bring herself because she knew Ari wouldn't rush him like that if the situation wasn't dire. So she decided to let this one slide.

After holding his baby boy for the first time he clicked some photos and sent to Ari.

'Your nephew says hi'

Ari received the photos and was so happy to see her cute munchkin nephew.

She video called him and spoke with Jae and Xie for long time explaining Jae everything that happened and apologizing for taking Xie away. She even told Jae about Ray, the part that Xie was most curious to hear but it left him fuming red.

'How could she just follow anyone like that. What's so good about that scardy cat bastard?' But he couldn't voice his opinion as he would get beaten up by his wife. Jae was always in search of potential candidates for being Ari's boyfriend and from what she heard that Ray guy seemed preety promising.

'This time I will make sure she gets a boyfriend' Jae's eyes glistened while a creepy smile crept her lips. Looking at his wife Xie was scared to death, ' what exactly is she thinking? Don't tell me she is going to kill me for not being here for her? But she won't kill her baby's dad right, right?' Xie turned pale at the tought.

After the call ended Jae and Ari took some rest.

Ray returned home at about 1 am and crashed on bed immediately. He was unable to process today's events and sleep overtook his thoughts.

Next day he dragged himself out of bed , got ready and hurried towards hospital.

When he reached there he asked at the front desk about Ari and discovered that she was discharged early morning.

He was still puzzled about who this mysterious women was he came to know her full name at front desk and when he Googled it he was surprised that she was the President of King's business group, the largest buisness conglomerate of country Z. Finally things became clear, due to her status in business she must have plenty of enemies and was natural that she was attacked. And that man who shot wore a business suit too. But why didn't they want to get police involved? Maybe they wanted to do private investigation without making enemies aware? Maybe.

Ray then went on with his day without even thinking about Ari again.

On the other hand Ari's thoughts flooded with Dr.Ray Qin

She could not stop thinking about him.The more she remembered his appearance the more she wanted to see him.

Ray was a handsome man indeed.

Some may even compare him to Greek gods. Ari's sharp eyes were able to analyse all his appearance in their short chaotic meeting.

He was 190cm tall, with well toned musculature, sharp jawline, honey colored skin, ink black deep eyes, black silky hairs, tall narrow nose and peach blossom lips. With a good sense of fashion. That man was nearly perfect aside from his timid personality.

Even his female colleagues could not stop drooling when they saw him first time.

Ray was used to this kind of attention but he never liked it.

He never liked a women who chased him or women who were too weak needing a man to keep them safe.

In past many females have confessed to him but he politely rejected them all. He was just too passionate about his career that he never got chance to look at them.

Ari never felt like this before.

Suddenly a thought pop out and she called her personal secretary Juan Jin

"Jin I want you to make a detailed report about Dr. Ray Qin including his personal and professional life and I want it before sunrise." she commanded before hanging up.

It was already 10 pm and Jin was just back from office after handling everything in Ari's absence. He already worked extra to take care about company's matters and as he was about to sleep the lady devil have another work for him.

It wasn't the first time Ari had asked for someone's information as she was a huge control freak when it came to buisness deals. Usually she would ask him for information of investors or her security personal or anyone she was suspecting or offering a job.

But this time she asked for a doctor's info. What did the doctor do wrong. If Ari is asking for someone's information this late that means this person is in serious trouble.

Jin searched for all his social media accounts but found nothing. Ray was never active there and all his accounts were personal.

Even when jin hacked into his computer and phone he did not find much. All the contents were medical procedures and other medical stuff.

Jin spent all night getting details about Ray from his preschool to university and from his family to his first crush which ofcourse didn't exist.

Jin thought why is his boss interested in this unbelievably clean innocent man. May God save his soul.

He made a detailed report and sent it to Ari.

By the time Ari received the email it was almost 4 am and she was unable to sleep in anticipation. She just wanted to see one suspicious thing and to tear apart his facade.

She began reading the extensive 50 paged detail report.

She had almost finished reading all the while smiling brightly knowing that he was not involved with any other female. The main aim of report of finding out weather Ray approached her purposefully was answered and it was not the way Aro was thinking. So Ray really is what he seems. But on page 49 of call records a name caught her attention as it was repeated time and again in incoming call but barely any outgoing calls or messages. That means this person was one-sidedly chasing Ray... as the suspicious of his character were cleared now it was time to catch the prey little puppy Ray but that name seems to be posing as obstacle..

"Long Jane"

She was the one who called Ray almost everyday. Reading this Ari's smile turned cold and a haughtily dark aura surrounded the room.

Jin was about to fall asleep finally but was interrupted by his phone. Seeing that it was his boss's call he feared for the worse.

Was his report incomplete or was it not good enough? why was she calling him again?

He picked up the call and before he could say anything he heard Ari's voice...it was bone chillingly cold.

"I want you to find about the relationship between Ray and Long Jane as soon as possible" and she hung up again.

Jin felt like crying he had not slept even for a minute and now he have to work again?

Sighing deeply he said to himself " Father told me working for the devil won't be easy but I was a fool to not believe him"

Jin's family had always been loyal to Lin family and so they were the trusted with all the financial affairs of the Lin's. Jin's brother was in charge of King company's finances. All the people that worked for Ari were either the ones her father trusted and their heirs or highly skilled people that her eyes fell upon.

Ari had a good eye for talent and that was the reason why King's was able to climb to the top within this short amount of time.

Jin finally finished his report around 8am and sent it to Ari. It was too late for him to sleep now so he got ready and headed to office.He could only pray for poor miss Jane who unintentionally found herself in angry Lion's den.

When Ari read the report her cold face was replaced with a murderous smile.The nurse who was taking her vitals felt a cold shiver down her spine and broke into cold sweat. She tried to escape the room as fast as possible.
