The Night We Met

Kara hovered over the dark city listening and watching intently for any sign of danger. It's now been two weeks since she has spoken to anyone. She decided to see what her sister is doing and flew over by her apartment and used her x-ray vision looking in. She saw her and Maggie eating pizza whilst watching Netflix and talking about their days.

Alex sighed. "I miss her so much." She looked down at her beer sadly and took a sip.

Maggie scooted closer and rubbed her back. "Little Danvers will come around. What happened will hurt for awhile, but your still her sister and she loves you." Maggie cupped Alex's face making her look at her. The agents eyes were watery. "She will be ok, I promise. Shes strong, just like you."

Alex nodded slowly. "Thankyou Maggie."

"Ofcourse, now let's not leave this pizza waiting." Maggie chuckled taking a bite causing the red head to smile, biting into her own.

Kara felt a small smile form on her face. She was tired, she could count the amount of hours she slept on her two hands. She then desided to fly over to Lena's penthouse to check on her, like usual. It still hurt, the breakup. No matter how much she tried to distract her self, the tight feeling in her chest never left, her heart always ached. Lena was her soulmate, the purple krpytonite said it itself, but sometimes Kara felt like she isnt meant to love, she was meant to protect earth.

Then she remembered that on her planet she was human, she was meant to love. But when her world was destroyed and she was sent here, everything changed, so she had to as well. She saw Lena tucking Pearl in and kissing her forehead. "Goodnight sweetie."

"Goodnight Lena." She smiled, but looked sad. The Luthor turned off the light walking into the living room. She grabbed a bottle of whiskey not bothering to get a cup and began drinking. She whispered, "You promised you would never leave me.. and here we are." He scoffed drinking more.

Kara listened to the lyrics realizing the words matched their situation perfectly, she felt tears flow down her cheeks. She felt guilt for breaking her promise, for leaving Lena.

After 20 minutes the song was still on repeat and Lena was to drunk to get up. The super flew in her balcony and reluctantly walked over to her. When she stepped in Lena's sight the Luthor jumped. "K-kara?" She asked not knowing if this was her imagination.

"C'mon lets get you to bed." She softly picked Lena up bridal style carrying her to her bed and laying her down. She pulled a blanket over her and turned to leave.

"Pleassse dont leave me." She said desperately, tears threatening to escape. "Please." Her voice cracked.

Kara stood still, her back turned to Lena, debating on if she should stay or keep moving. She couldnt handle walking away from her again so she turned around meeting Lena's sad gaze. "Ok." She said in a whisper. She sat on the bed beside Lena taking her hands in her own. "Ok." She said once again moving a strand of Lena's hair behind her ear.

Lena held Kara's waist tightly afraid to let go, afraid she would disappear into thin air. Kara rubbed Lena's back softly until she fell asleep. Then she stood up, and left. She decided to go back to her place and get some actual sleep.

Alex woke up and felt a presence by her, Maggie. She rubbed her eyes sleepily and looked over at Maggie who was on the other side of the couch. She smiled softly and put a blanket over her, when she looked at her phone she seen a message, from Kara. She quickly opened it reading it.

Alex quickly showered and changed, she left Maggie a note informing her of her where-abouts and basically ran out the door and ran to the elevator. She hasn't seen Kara besides on the news in a couple weeks and missed the shit out of her. She hurried out of the building and put her helmet on getting on her bike and turned it on racing down the street.

When she got to Kara's place she knocked on the door impatiently, 7 seconds later the door opened revealing a blondie with bright blue eyes, that looked sadder then usual. Alex tackled her into a hug holding her close, she kissed her cheek a million times. "Oh my God Kara I missed you so much." She cupped Kara's face between her two hands bringing it down slightly and kissed her forehead. "How are you?"

The red head let go and shut the door behind her dragging Kara over to the couch. The Super sighed and her eyes glistened with tears. "I missed you too." She reached out grabbing Alex's hand sandwiching it between her own two.

The older Danver smiled softly. "I'm so sorry for what happened." She frowned scooting closer to her sister and wrapping her arm around her shoulder.

"I know.. and I'm sorry for shutting you out." She sighed.

"You and I have always talked about everything since we were kids Kara, please dont end that streak, I will always be here, I love you so so much and I never want you to be alone." She held the Super tighter and kissed her temple.

"I know Alex." A tear made it's way down her cheek. "I love you so much. I dont know what I would do without you." She cried more.

"Hey, you will never have to find out." She wiped the tears from Kara's face and kissed the top of her hand looking at her with big loving eyes, trying to hold back her own tears."

"I- I cant get it out of my head Alex." She sobbed more. "It was scary, I feel so dirty a-and I couldnt do anything." She cried in Alex's shoulder.

Alex felt herself start crying as well. "I will never let anything like that happen to you ever again, I promise. And what happened is Not your fault, at all!" She traced small circles on Kara's arm resting her chin on her head.

"I can still see it clearly, I can feel his rough hands against my skin, and... I remember it all Alex. And the way he looked at me, like I'm his possession, i was so scared." She gripped the back of Alex's shoulders letting her tears out.

Alex fumed with anger, she wanted to beat the living hell out if him. But for now she had to comfort her sister. "I know baby, I know." She let Kara cry for a few more minutes then she looked up at the older Danvers with a sad broken expression.

"Will I ever be ok?" She asked in a soft whisper searching Alex's chocolate eyes frantically.

"You will be, I promise. Everything will get better, and I will always be by your side." She held Kara's hand tightly in her known giving her a reassuring squeeze.

The Super nodded. "I dont know what to do. I don't know if I'm even meant to love, I left Lena, I broke her, and myself in the process." Her lower lip trembled at the thought holding back her tears.

"Baby, you were born with a heart for a reason, not just to survive, but to live, to love. You and her are inlove, you are soul mates, and that has been proven." She wiped another tear off of Kara's cheek. "She is waiting for you to come back, and when you do is up to you. But I wouldnt leave her waiting okay? That's your future wife, try not to hurt her to much." The red head smiled softly at her sister who nodded her head.

"I'm so lucky to have you." The Super sniffled and smiled at Alex.

Alex grinned pulling her in for another hug. "Right back at yu." She softly smacked Karas shoulder. "I think you should go get your girl back."

The blue eyed girl smiled at her wiped the tears from her face and stood up nodding. "Okay."

After they said goodbye she put on her suit flying over to Lena's and landing on the balcony. She slowly walked in realizing no-one is home. She ordered takeout and did the dishes. Lena and Pearl were still gone so she sat on the couch patiently, someone knocked and she assumed it was the food, she answered paying the man and setting everything on the counter. She took the food out getting three plates ready, she set it all at the table.

Then an idea came to her, she quickly flew out and bought flowers, roses she can hand to Lena and tulips to put in a vase. She quickly made her way back putting the tulips in a vase and setting them in the middle of the table and lit some candles placing them around the house and on the table so well.

She sat back down patiently waiting for their return. That's when she heard two familiar heart beats and feet walking down the hall. She grew nervous and wiped off her sweaty hands and grabbed the rose's standing up. She heard a lock twisting around the door knob, then the door opened reaveling the green eyed woman she loved so much and a little kid she loved so much as well.

Their eyes met Kara's and Pearl full on sprinted up to her hugging her waiste tightly. Lena looked at her shocked and looked around the house seeing the candles and food and flowers on the table. She looked back up seeing Kara's bright blue gaze and felt butterflies in her stomache. "Kara kara kara!!!" Pearl squealed exitedly and the superhero hugged her back. "Your back!"

Kara looked into Lena's loving emerald eyes getting lost in them. "I am." She answered. Pearl let her go and Kara stepped closer to Lena, only a couple feet away. She searched her eyes with love and regret lacing her own. "I'm so sorry I left you Le, I was hurting, and I wasn't thinking straite, I didnt know how to cope with it all. But I know I love you, and I never want to leave you again, I'm sorry." She said genuinely.

Lena's eyes started watering and she stepped forward wrapping her arms around Kara's neck, the Super wrapped her arms around her waiste tightly and kissed her temple. "I'm so sorry Lena."

Lena moved her head meeting Kara's eyes. "I forgive you, and i love you too." She cupped Kara's cheeks and softly kissed her lips, Kara deepened it and tasted salty tears on her lips realizing they were both crying. She slowly opened her eyes getting lost in Lena's, that made her feel at home.

Pearl hugged them both happily. After their group hug Kara handed Lena her roses smiling sheepishly. Lena happily exepted them and they all made their way to the table. Kara knew she still needed to heal, but what better way to do it then doing it with the love of your life beside you?
