Chapter One: A Young Boy

Born in the rich and vast kingdom, Cravon, was a young prince, sired by the great King Zarash and his Queen: Aza. Avery is their one son and heir to the mighty blood stained throne, held in his father's hands along with his millions of specially trained knights.

King Zarash feared greatly for his kingdom and home, so he elected, twelve chosen warriors to train the young Avery ever since he reached the age of nine. They taught him to harness his magical strength and learn how to use it.

His son being now but sixteen, The King and his wife are currently seeking to enlist their son in a greater order of knights; Who would protect the throne.

For the strength and power of the vengeful ruler and murderer, Azackton, was beginning to rise above the abilities of King Zarash's men.

"Now Avery, summon your shield of protection from the powers within you. You must practice to perfect these skills so that you may join a new errantry of knights worthy of honor." Said Zauhn, royal general of The King's armed men.

"But we've trained all day today, I want to go riding", Replied the impatient boy.

"There is no time for that. You are the Prince of Cravon! You have the entire land, and your father's reliance upon your shoulders! Come, back to work."

Sighing, Avery went back to his fighting position, holding his sword in front of him. Zauhn then out of his sword, summoned an electrical bolt aimed at the prince. Waiting till the right moment when the lightning was over him, he raises his shield above his head crying: "Shield of Light!"

The radiant shield withheld the electricity, holding it, until it eventually vanished.

"Very good. Remember to keep your eyes on my torso. That is the best way to determine your foe's next attack", Zauhn said sheathing his sword.

"I didn't have to, I could see that lightning bolt from a mile away", laughed Avery, haughtily.

"You will do as your instructor says or I will once again, summon your father." Said the prudent wizard and seer, Zash; Who was observing the session.

"All my father does, is tell me the same thing over and over again", Complained the rash son.

"That is because you need to hear it. Cease your juvenile whimpering and study your magic. You must be ready for when The Dark Ruler Azackton, returns to siege the city in bloodshed," Answered The Wizard harshly.

Without an answer, Avery turned and went back towards the training grounds.
