"Is there anyone you want to say goodbye to before we leave, Lydia? We are not in a rush so you can go to them now," said Annalise.

Lydia let go of Annalie's hand to go to the girls with beds beside her own to tell them that she was getting to go play so they shouldn't worry when she wouldn't be around for bedtime.

"This is the most energetic I have seen that child. I fear she might not want to return tomorrow," Thelma said, slightly worried about Lydia's return to the orphanage. She would make her decision when they returned so Lydia could go with them if she wanted. 

"I hope you have a safe travel back to your home and again, you can come to us at any time should you need help," Thelma offered once more.

"Thank you and we will," Annalise replied, but she was certain they would be fine. 

Lydia was not a child who was difficult to deal with. Their greatest challenge might be getting her to go to sleep.
