Lying Lady

After receiving the news of a dead dark witch being found in the forest, The High Conclave has arrived at the crime scene with the Inspection Unit to investigate the restricted forest.

Looking at the Inspection unit who was busy searching the restricted forest, One of the head members, Envoy Egnatius Lightwood commented in a frustrating tone, "I can't believe we are wasting our time investigating a crime, we already know who committed!"

In a bored tone, Vincenzo replied, "Only you think we are here to investigate the crime! Lightwood". And saw the Envoy frowning but he didn't bother to explain further.

Looking at the Envoy's frown, another head member, King Archimedes, enlightened further, "We are not here to investigate the crime Egnatius but to search the restricted forest for any clue about the Dark witches conspiracy."

To this, Regal Fairy Luciana commented, "The witch was the only source we had to find any clue, whom Vincenzo has very conveniently killed!"

Turning to Luciana, Vincenzo said, "The witch was useless who had no idea about the plot and not to forget, she was stripped of her magic before being kicked out of the Dark circle ."

With a Wicked look in her eyes, Head witch Bellatrix commented, "It's not like you would have spared the witch if she were to be useful. The only difference is, you would have extracted the information before killing her." Which every knew is true because Vincenzo Thornburn do not believe in sparing!

With a grim expression, Envoy Egnatius stated, "You think you can kill anyone just because you find them useless!"

"If that was the case, I would have killed you a long time ago, Lightwood!" Vincenzo said nonchalantly. Noticing Egnatius's vexed face, A crooked smile appeared on his face before he continued. "Besides, one less Dark witch won't make much difference!"

Egnatius huffed before walking away angrily.

Looking at Vincenzo, Archimedes said, "You need to stop poking him Vincenzo!"

"I can't help it Archimedes, his face asks for it!" Vincenzo said with a grin.

Last night, Vincenzo came to the forest with the sole purpose of catching the Dark witch who was hiding in the restricted forest after being kicked out out of the Dark circle. Vincenzo wasn't resting on the tree but was waiting for the witch to come out of her hideout. When he heard the sound of distant footsteps, He expected them to belong to the witch instead his eyes fall on the blue eyed girl.

One of the associates from Inspection unit came to where the heads of Conclave were conversing and notified them, "We have checked the area till Waspa River where the restricted forest ends but have not found any clue or the hideout where the witch was hiding."

Placing his one foot on a tree he was leaning on, Vincenzo suggested, "Perhaps she was residing on trees instead of hiding in a shelter, as it's easier to get caught if you're hiding in one place then to capture someone who's continuously changing her location!" And other members nodded in acknowledgment.

Vincenzo was about to lit his cigar when he noticed a familiar figure running towards the crime scene. Everyone followed Vincenzo's gaze and saw a girl in white, racing in the direction where the body of dark witch laid motionless!"

They saw the girl slip before she fall down on the muddy land. Managing to to stand back on her feet, with a horrified look, she kept gawping at the dead witch!

Throwing his cigar on the ground, Vincenzo walked to where the girl was standing. Reaching near the girl, he stopped two steps away from her. He watched the girl stagger backwards and bump into him before turning around to face him.

His blood red eyes met her crystal blue ones. He watched the girl with curious gaze, before he questioned her, "Care to enlighten, what are you trying to do trespassing the crime scene!?"

He watched her scanning around before her gaze returned to him. His eyes narrowed noticing the troubled look on her face while she struggled to answer!

Finally the girl managed to speak and said, "I was here to look for something I lost in the forest!"

Vincenzo quickly detected the lie behind her words and said in a sarcastic tone, "Sure, In the restricted forest!" And heard the lying lady continuing with her lie, "Yes! I strayed in the forest while my way back home yesterday and lost something very precious to me."

"Please do tell, what might be the precious thing u lost here?" inquired Vincenzo.
