One week later.

"Mei, do you got some news today?" Asked Henry.

"News?" Mei was trying to remember about that news. "No." Said Mei while drying the clothes. Henry frowned. "No? That's impossible." Said Henry while sitting.

She was lurking behind the cloth. "Yes, it was." She said as she continues drying the cloth. "About that news actually Henry has fallen in love with you." Said Michael who was suddenly appeared behind Mei. "Eh?"

Henry got up faster. "Hei, that was not tru-true, Mei!" " And he goes like this..." Michael whispered at Mei's ear.

"Oh, no!" Said Henry with feared. "Yo-You don't listened to him, Mei!" Michael's eyes looked at Henry in evil way.

Henry was very angried and furious. "Mei, I am not like you! You're an ugly and you were not the type of the person that I like!" Mei and Michael surprised when they were hearing Henry's words.

"What... Were you... Saying?" Mei looked at Henry with her sharpness looked. 'My bad!' Henry closed his mouth.

"Better said that back, Henry!" Mei shouted as she threw the bucket away. Henry was trembling feared. "I-I'm sorry!" Henry knee down while crying.

"You forgiveness... I would not... Accepted it! Now, tasted this!" Mei hit Henry's head until bumped. "Ouch!" Said Henry while rubbing his head. "And that... I would accept your forgiveness." Mei smiled evilly.

"This was all your fault, Michael!" Michael laughed. "Wasn't that the news that you wanted to tell to her?" Michael scoffed as he sat beside Henry then, he looked at him while smirked.

"What was the news that you wanted to tell me, Henry?" Asked Mei. "About that news was that we had be given two days off." Said Henry.

Michael and Mei were surprising and feeling happy. "Really?" Asked Mei. "Yes, only two days." Said Henry. "Why not two weeks?!" Henry shouted with sadness.

Michael patted Henry's shoulders. "At least, we could get some rest and went back home." Michael persuaded. "If you might yes, if me ... could not." Michael frowned with wonder.

"Why did you said like that?" Henry looked at Mei then lifted his index finger up. "My mother said that if you wanted to go home, make sure you went home at the end of the year. Do not went back home if your boss gave one day or two days or a little day off."

"Ouh, pity you." May laughed a little. Henry grumbled. "Then, what were you doing here during the holidays?" Henry sighed. "That ... It does not matter to you, Michael."

"Why?" Asked Michael with awe. "Well, we're talking about other stories. Michael, what were you doing on holiday?" Asked Henry with a smiled. "Were you trying to change the story?"

The atmosphere become increasingly noisy. They're still talking on the roof. Suddenly, the noisy atmosphere turned into silence except those who were still laughing.

While they were talking, Mei looked down accidentally and then looked at a young girl who was walking until the soldiers were silent and feared.

Her behavior made Mei feels puzzled and suspicious. Mei's hand started pulling Michael's shirt but Michael does not cared about her as he still talking with Henry even though Mei has given him a silent moment.

Mei have begun to be angry and furious with them. The veins begun to arise. Mei looked at them and said. "Hei, could you both silent?" Mei shouted. They were still talking without paying attention to Mei's feelings.

'Those!' Mei thought. Mei felt very furious as if she wanted to slap their cheeks until their cheeks were red.

"Both of you couldn't shut up?!" Said Mei. "Hahaha, that's what I did that day." Said Henry. "Haha, yes, I know." Said Michael.

Mei's patience level had lost. She went towards them and then slapped them harder until both of them stopped talking and looked towards May.

"That's hurt!" Shouted Henry while crying and rubbing his red cheeks. "Shh!" May was putting her index finger on Henry's lip. "I asked you to look down for a moment."

They both looked at each other. "Do you guys wanted to feel a slap in death?" They shook their heads quickly and went looking down.

"I do not know what she wants us to see down there." Said Henry. "Be quiet! Just looked down." Henry sighed. "Mei, what I'm looking at was people was walking, selling foodstuffs, drinking somewhere and more."

"Actually, why did you told us to look down?" Asked Michael. "To kick you from here until you fell down." May laughed with evil laughed. "May ... I'm not joking ... You scared me right now."

"Tch, were you recognizing or not about that girl?" Asked Mei as she pointed at the girl. Michael looked down again.

"That fat girl?" Henry hit Michael's head. "Do not despaired the person body shape, Michael." Said Henry. "Then, what should I wanted to say?" Henry shook his head.

"Already, stop fighting. The question now, why were that girl was here? Was not this breaking the rules in the Kingdom of Gorgia?" Asked Mei who was surprised.

"I also do not know about this but what I know about that kid that she has been authorized by Commander Darwin to become a soldier." Said Michael while playing his mustache. "Since when you had that mustache?" Asked Mei with amazed.

"If I'm not mistaken, her name was Ruby." Said Henry. "Yes, Ruby Victoria Thompson." Said Michael. "Wow, her name was so beautiful!" Said Mei.

"Right. Furthermore, she was a silent girl and always, always alone. Especially, she likes to being alone. Maybe, that's why peoples were feeling scared of her." Said Michael.

"I felt not only that, Ruby was a strong and reliable person in the game. Plus, her bravier couldn't be matched with all soldiers at her including us." Said Henry.

"Do you wanted her to be our friend?" They both surprised and then looked at Mei. "Mei, don't did crazy things. People like her was hard to get friends."

"You looked at her. She likes being alone. Alone, Mei!" Said Henry. "Yes, that's right... Eh, hold on! Don't said that you were..." Henry was not finishing his sentence, Mei already disappeared. "Hei, Mei!" Henry shouted. "That girl." Michael sighed.

'Friend, friend, friend!' Mei was humming as she was running after that girl.

After satisfied from running, finally Mei met her. "I found her, I found her!" Said Mei with happily.

"Vi, wait! Wait!" She said while took her steps slow. However, that girl kept on walking.

Mei was feeling amazed. "Am I got the wrong name? Then, w-what's her name ... Ah ... Oh, Victoria!" Mei started opening her steps to run.

"Victoria Thompson!" She shouted. Unfortunately, the little girl does not heard her. Mei called her again. "Victoria!" The girl stopped and looked back. Inadvertently, Mei hit her until they're falling down.

The situation at that time became tense. Everyone were looking at them both with amazed and surprised. "Oops!" Said Mei while got up.

She was surprising to see that cute girl was lying in front of her. "Eh!" Mei stood up then moves backward while the girl was getting up and stood up looking at Mei with a very sharp eye.

"Too Sharped." Said Mei with feared. The girl started her moves to go but Mei held her by holding her hand. She looked back in surprisingly.

"Your name was... Victoria, wasn't it?" Said Mei. The girl was silent. "Not?" Asked her again. The girl was still silent.

"Err, if your name was not Victoria I might be wrong person." Said Mei as she walked away. The girl's eyes couldn't be separated from looking at every Mei movements that walked away.

"Ruby." Mei stopped and looked back while raising her left eyebrow.

"Ruby. Ruby Victoria Thompson." She said again. Mei surprised and smiles widened. "Oh yes, Ruby!" Said Mei happily and then hugged Ruby harder.

The girl pushed her away. "Hehe, sorry." Mei giggled. "Ruby ... Ruby ... Oh yes, Ruby

My name was Mei." Said Mei while stretching her hand. Ruby responded.

Mei surprised to see the size of Ruby's hand was too small. 'Her hand was too small!' She screamed inside her heart. "I wanted to go." Said Ruby.

May nodded while smiled. Ruby did not replied her smiles and she started her steps to go. 'Cute ... Eh, hold on!' Suddenly, Mei was reminding of something about her reasons to meet Ruby.

"Ruby!" Mei called. Again, she stopped and looked back with a slumbered face.

"This afternoon, could you met me at block D-4?" Asked Mei with a big smiled. Ruby silent. 'Could not?' She thought.

"I'll try to get there." Said Ruby. Her words made Mei feels very happy. "I couldn't wait to tell them!" Mei shouted while jumping. After that, she ran with lightning speed to find Henry and Michael with ignoring Ruby.

"Miss, who was she?" Asked a soldier who was suddenly appearing next to Ruby. "I did not know." Said Ruby then left.

When Arriving at there, Mei opened the door by kicking and then went inside and said "I've found her!" Mei shouted.

'Silence?' Mei thought. "Hello?" Mei looked to the left then right. "Anyone here?" Mei shouted. "Hello?!" May stomp her feet with a furious. "You waited for it!" Mei went out with feels angered then slammed the door firmly.

In the evening, as promised by Mei to Ruby. May was standing while waiting for Ruby to come.

Mei look at her watch and it was showing already five o'clock. "Why were she so slow? Were kids always really like to come slowly?" Mei sighed.

"What did you mean?" Mei surprised when she heard Ruby's voices then she looked at the back. "Euby?" Ruby raised his left eyebrow. "Euby?" Ruby repeats the Mei sentences. Mei surprised then hastily apologized to Ruby.

"I'm sorry." The girl was silent. Mei was scratching her head. Her face was red like tomato. "You're ... so quiet." Mei chuckled. The girl was silent.

"Err, Ruby ... Do you wanted to be my friend?" Said Mei while playing her fingers. "Well, I felt pity when I always seeing you alone. When you're friend with me, you were not feeling alone." Said Mei with happily.

"I'll think about that later." Said Ruby. "If possible now, don't later." Persuaded Mei. Ruby paused for thought.

After she thought, she looked back at Mei. "Mei-" She did not finishing her sentences, Mei already cut her.

"Yes, the answer was yes! Come on, followed me." Mei grabbed Ruby's hand and took her away to meet them.

"I'm already done. How about you?" Asked Michael. "A little bit more." Said Henry while folding his clothes. "Well I'll wait." Said Michael.

"Before I forgot something, where was Mei going?" Asked Henry as he puts his clothes inside the closet. "Don't know. Maybe she's still searching that girl." Said Michael.

"Maybe." Said Henry. Suddenly, the door was wide opening as they were surprising to hear the sound of a slammed door and saw Mei who was standing at the front door with a girl.

"Mei?!" They shouted. "Yes, I'm Mei. Ruby, this were my friends!" Said Mei as she pushed Ruby inside. Ruby looked at Mei then she looked at Henry and Michael.

The room became silent for a moment until Mei began the conversation. "Please, introduced yourself!" Henry and Michael stunned for a moment and then nodded.

"My name was Michael." "And I'm Henry." Said Henry while smiled. "Oh, if I'm not mistaken, both of you who were seriously injured right?" Asked Ruby. Henry nodded.

"Who were breaking the commanded of Captain Josh, right?" Michael and Henry were surprisedly to hear that question.

"How did you know?" Askes Henry. "I was there at that time." Said Ruby. They looked at each other. After that, they both looked at Ruby back. "You joined too?!" Askes Michael. Ruby nodded. "Bravely!" Said Henry.

"You ... Why did you wanted to be a soldier?" Asked Henry. "That's a privacy question, was not it?" Henry shocked and then made his faked tears. "Told me."

"Then, at what age did you were started working as a soldier?" Asked Michael. "Ten years old." She said with slumbered. "Te-Ten years old?!" Said Henry while holding Ruby's shoulders. Ruby pushed his hand away. "Ouch."

"Ten years old?" Asked Mei as she putting her hand at her chin. Ruby nodded. "Who told you to work at here?" Asked Mei.

"My father." Suddenly, Henry made a dramatic act in from of them while hugging the pillow. "Oh, your dad. Why did you asked her to be like this? Did not you feared if Captain Josh will angered at her?" Michael and Mei were astonished at his attitude.

"Was he sicked?" Asked Ruby with worried. "He ... He always did this kind of thing." Answer Michael. "Were you not afraid?" Henry held Ruby's shoulders and once again, Ruby pushed his hand away. "No." Said Ruby.

"I wanted to go now." Said Ruby as she turned to the back. "Where were you going?" Asked Mei. Ruby did not answered her question as she was leaving them.

"He did not answered your question." Said Michael. "Yes, he did not answered my question because of Henry!" May looked back with a cruel face. Henry surprised then sat down. "M-Me?" Henry pointed toward himself while making his faked tears.

"Yes, it was all your fault! If you were did not doing that ugly acted, Ruby did not went out!" Mei punch Henry's head. "Ah!" Henry screamed and then ran towards Michael.

"You, came back here!" Mei shouted while chasing Henry. "Ple-Please me, help me!" Michael shook his head while sighed.
