Something never changes..

It was late night , in the hospital room where marvis was sleeping. Just besides Marvis was Nora who also seemed to have slept.

The hospital room was Large enough to hold 20 peoples, The bed where Marvis was sleeping was placed near the window from which the sky and the stars were visible. It was very peaceful night. Marvis suddenly opened his eyes as he was having a Massive head ache, he felt like a large mountains pressing his head. He bit his lips in order to not make any noise since Nora was sleeping, blood could be seen coming out of his lips.

Marvis suddenly remembered meeting an old guy when he was less than a month baby, Just when he remembered it his headache vanished.

The old man he remembered had face full of wrinkles, his head was covered by a cone shape hat, he also had a very long white beard and sharp eye brows which made his look quite charming considering his age. That old man told Marvis about a meeting, gods, competition(For ref: read chapter 14).

"Damm that old man! he fooled me with a candy.." Marvis furrowed his brows and rubbed his forehead, he knew that old man put something in his head, he clearly not happy about how he was played by an old man since he considered himself quite clever...

"That old man was he a god? He created this world? to me he just seemed like a retarded old guy." Said Marvis as his focus was mostly on his forehead. he could feel a certain warmth coming from his forehead, He then thought about his sleeping mother and decided to not disturb her and went back to sleep.

Next morning, The sun was shining brightly and once in a while a cloud could be seen moving, there were few birds flying around in search for their morning breakfast, shopkeepers were busy cleaning their store and getting ready to greet their first customers while the adventurer were preparing for there today's hunt.The whole capital seemed like a sleeping dragon that is about to wake up.

Back in the hospital room Marvis was wide awake as he and his mother was eating their breakfast. Maris's one hand was busy cutting his omelet while other hand was holding a bread which had a bite mark. while he was moving his mouth to chew the bread, Nora who had already finished eating wiped her mouth with a napkin, She place the plate down as she spoke:

"Marvis today is the entrance exam for the academy's admission but i think you should try for it next year since you are not in you best condition."

Marvis swallowed the food that was in his mouth, drank a mouthful water and said in an arrogant manner:

"Mother there is no need to worry i am fine, its just an entrance exam i will pass it easily"

Nora was still worried about Marvis as she was trying to tell marvis to not go for this years exam. Nora had clearly seem Marvis was a dual affinity which depicts that marvis was strong enough to at least get into a top rank.

When two of them was having a peaceful conversation the door opened and a person walked inside.

"Marvis get ready we are about to start the entrance exam" said the figure who's face was full of excitement. The figure was Roland, He was wearing a long red robe with a bear skin on his shoulder which covered all his back.The golden lining and His handsome face made the clothes look very royal and majestic.

Roland was very excited about this day since all four of his son was going to participate. His first two twin son Coby and Naur was 14 years old, while Laxus his third son was 12 years old and Marvis who recently reached his 8th year.

Roland wanted to show off to the world what his four sons were like. He was very excited about his sons exam especially Laxus and Marvis. Laxus just returned from his adventure with Ancestor Min and Roland wanted to see how much his space magic had improve and Marvis having a dual affinity was itself a sign of being genius.

Roland forgot to look at Nora in his excitement but when he noticed her, he knew he had messed something up.

Nora's face color had turned red as it was trembling, she was so angry that if not Roland was her husband she would have already cut his head off. She had been trying very hard to convince Marvis for not attending this years exam but her Husband throwed water on all her handwork, how could she not be angry?

Just when she was about to say something, from the corner of her eyes she saw Marvis moved.

Marvis stood up from his bed and stretched his arms positioned towards the sky and he moved towards the door.

"Father lets go! Mother don't worry i will take care of myself" said Marvis as he opened the door and turned towards his mother showing her his bright white teeth..Nora then helplessly gave up as she knew how stubborn her son was.

"Fine! but if you cannot handle it well just comeback okay?" said Nora with a worried face. Marvis nodded his head in confirmation and then looked towards his father and went outside. Roland followed Marvis after a little talk with Nora. Nora haven't forgive him yet and decided to give him punishment by not allowing him in the room for a month which made Roland's face turn pale.

"Marvis first lets go to the changing room where your three brothers are! we will select some clothes for the event." said Roland who had caught up with Marvis and then they moved towards the changing room.

Lot of noise could be heard coming out of changing room as Marvis and Roland entered the room. Roland just let his brows lose and showed a helpless face as Marvis was just speechless.

what in front of them was a big room, designed with very beautiful purple color and costly painting hanging on the wall. the floors where the expensive carpet was supposed to be was covered with piles and piles of clothes.

a figure was seem standing near the sofa with a depressed face and a blank look while a measuring tape was hanging off his neck and forehead covered with sweat, two figures seemed to be aruging about something near the piles and another figure with was totally relaxed staring out of window.

"whats in the world is happening?" said Roland looking at all these mess.

As soon as The figure near the sofa heard the voice his depressed face vanished, he was the designer of the royal family's clothes.. two figure also stopped arguing as they turned towards Roland they were Coby and Naur. Laxus was the person sitting near the window, He just smiled towards Roland and nodded his head as a form of greeting.

"Father, Naur always copy me in everything i do. i said i wanted his golden lace today while he was going for a sliver one but he suddenly changed his mind and decided to wear a golden one too." Said Coby with a puppy face hoping Roland would help him.

"No father he is lying it is not me that is copying him, it is him that is copying me!!" said Naur who was trying to defend himself.

Back near the window Laxus was in deep thoughts as the argument between Naur and Coby continued.

Laxus eyes moved on all the figures in the room and stopped at Marvis, his eyes shinned bright as a star and he started moving towards Marvis.

Marvis was in his own world as he had totally ignored the existence of his surrounding and probably thinking about what he is going to eat for his lunch. just when he was in his though, he felt chills running through his spine which woke him up and he noticed Laxus in front of him.

"Little Fourth why don't you try some clothes for exam. here let me select one for you." said Laxus as his hand moved on Marvis's shoulder. That voice was loud enough for make everyone on the room look at him. Laxus then moved towards the pile and took one cloth from it and bought it back near marvis and said:

"Since its an entrance exam it will surely include some practical things that we will need to do, which might require durability and flexibility rather than any shiny design which can prove to be a burden while move fast. so i selected this for you" said Laxus holding a black combat dress in his hand. The combat dress was a designers edition it self.

it was light weight and durable and had very detailed design on it which further improved its looks and fitting.

"Combat dress will be prefect for this occasion as it is not a party we require for look much more tough than charming" said Laxus. Marvis clearly din't thought much but he felt Laxus had some points and he then nodded his head towards Laxus and took the clothes and went out.

Roland could be seen nodding his head too, agreeing with the point Laxus stated. while Coby and Naur seemed to be thinking about it. All of sudden Coby ran towards the pile took something and ran..

Naur also panicked as he rushed towards the pile and selected something and ran behind Coby.

it all happened in a blink of an eye that the designer, Roland or Laxus couldn't even say anything.

Roland than asked Laxus to be ready and meet him in the exam area and than left since as a chairman he also had some preparations that needed to be done.

Laxus stood still for a while and the designer sighed in relieved but again he felt tense as he was having a bad feeling that something was not sitting well. Just when he had this thought he slowly moved his head and looked where Laxus was standing. He hair turned white as he knew where his bad promotion was coming from.

Laxus was also looking at the designer with a sinister face as he spoke:

"You know what you have to do right?This time i want something changed. i want my laces bigger and more shiner. said Laxus as he walked out of room with a satisfied look while the designer behind him fell on his knees.
