BRUCE’S WORRIES

Arjun and others moved forward and stopped only when they were at the centre of the stage. Even Bruce and others moved and stopped when they were at the centre of the stage. The distance between the two teams was only 100 meters.

Everyone within the crowd who were actually standing within the stage before Arjun prepared it hurriedly moved away from them. Be it Arjun and his teammates or Bruce and other members of the Raven Sect, in their views both of them were behemoth whom they could not offend no matter what with their current strength. So moving as far away as possible is the only option they had.

When all the people who was standing on the stage more out, the only people who still remained were Arjun and Bruce with their very little army.

Bruce once again sized up Arjun. Arjun's face was brimming with confidence. He was actually smiling. In fact, everyone within their team were looking very confident.

Bruce became serious. He fought in many battles. He could be said as an experienced person in the combat. His instincts were very sharp among his peers.

He knew that as the barbarians, Arjun and others were definitely not some frogs in the well. Their understanding of the outside world is far better than the people within the organisations.

The cultivators within the organisations always depended on their sects or clans to stay safe. This safety and fear from others towards them made these people very arrogant. And from the arrogance, they start causing troubles for others without even bothering to learn the background of the person they were offending.

And because of their arrogance, if they offended someone whom they were not supposed to be, then this might bring the sect destruction calamity on them. This is the case for the Raven Sect as well.

Even though Bruce hated this arrogance from the Raven Sect, there is nothing he could do to change it. Even though Bruce was from the Raven Sect, he didn't inherit their arrogance. He was an upright person. He would never depend on his sect to cause trouble. He always depended on his strength to solve all his problems.

This is one of the reason why he always stayed alone. This is the reason why he became an anti-Social person. This is the reason why he never wanted to be in the Raven Sect. This is one of the reason why he applied to be the Core Disciple of the Heavenly Raven Sect.

But still, he came forward to fight for them. The reason is simple. It was because of his past. In the past, Bruce lost his family in an horrible attack from someone else. He still don't know who actually attacked his family. But his family was wiped out.

At that time, Miller was around there. He took Bruce under his tutelage and brought him to the Raven Sect. Bruce was very grateful towards the help provided by his master.

He never wanted to be in a position where he will be dominated by others. And hence, he struggled and worked very hard in order to become strong. The death of his family was his greatest motivation.

And his only regret is, The actions of his sect members. Their arrogance is what displeased him all the time. But it was still the sect that give him food and shelter in his desperate situations.

So this weekend his bottom line. No matter what kind of sins committed by his sect members, he will always protect them. This is how he is going to repay the kindness of his Sect Master.

But Arjun and others were different. They had seen the world in almost all the angles. They knew what kind of people from a top sect were. Since they were barbarians, they were not foolish enough to understand the consequences for offending the Raven Sect.

Bruce could only think of two possibilities. The first one is, Arjun and his teammates have a powerful backer who might be strong enough to dominate the mighty Raven Sect. And secondly, Arjun and others might have the strength to defeat them!

And Bruce's instinct constantly told him that he had to believe in the second point. The strength they displayed so far is the proof for his belief. He could easily tell even without fighting that Arjun and all his teammates were not to be taken lightly.

Arjun simply smiled. But he then transmitted a voice to Sitaram and others, "Grandfather! Among all of us, only father is the one who is yet to master the Dao. Please protect him."

"Is there any need to say that?" ,Sitaram replied, "It is my duty as a father to protect him. Don't worry. Even without my protection, your father good definitely triumph over this tricky situation.

Arjun nodded his head in agreement. Even though his father didn't master any Dao yet, he could still protect himself. Needless to say, he still had the unused Dao Inscription Scrolls with him. And since others always monitor him closely, he will stay safe.

And most importantly, his father was an experienced combat master back in the Life Realm. He knew what exactly he needed to do in different scenarios.

At that time, Bruce ordered his teammates, "You guys can take whoever you want. But leave this Arjun to me."

"But captain...." ,Cohan was stunned and wanted to object. But Bruce said before he could continue.

"I have made up my mind. I am going to face this Arjun alone. You guys can go and deal with others. And don't meddle in our fight. I don't want you people to use any shameless acts like stabbing my opponent when we were busy fighting. I want to fight and win against him fair and square."

Bruce could tell why Cohan and others were worried about him. From all the series of events that took place, even though they hated it, they had to admit that Arjun could be a match for Bruce.

Most importantly, Arjun could easily kill the shadows that were created by Russell which forced Bruce to put a lot of effort to defeat. They knew that this battle is very important to Bruce as it was the direct ticket to become the Core disciple of the Heavenly Raven Sect.

If he lost, it was not just the loss in the competition, but Bruce might never become the champion of the competition and win the rights to participate in the competition which will take place in the Royal Capital.

Bruce knew that Cohan and others will do whatever they can in order to let Bruce win. But this is not something Bruce wanted. He wanted to defeat Arjun fair and square.

There is no need for Arjun to give similar orders to his teammates as he knew that his teammates would never do something shameless deeds.

He and Bruce tactically understood what they needed to do and moved far away from others in order to fight.
